7th is the complete opposite....
They told me they would send a free heater cover my way. Opened box no heater cover. Called and they overnighted a hc to me just because I never got the FREE heater cover. You realize how important CS is when you almost want to buy their product simply based on how much they want you to be pleased and satisfied. Thank god their product kicks ass!

I have nothing against you friend ,I despise corporate America though. Sending my ssv back today,!going to return it and scoop one off of Craigslist.youd be surprised what you can find on there price wise.

Steama is your positive experience just because the spherical makes a better seal or? I got a ssv recently, first vape purchase in a decade since I purchased the cannabis cup winning vape that I took my name from, and it's better than I hoped :) i love it. I love the simplicity and power. I was gonna just get another standard wand with whip for multiple users, but if spherical is so much better I might go in that direction. I know what a perfect seal can do for a vape, but I was thinking since I like the standard already it wouldn't make so much difference and was aesthetic mainly. So I'm super intrigued with your comment. I just popped in for the first time in ages, ssv is amazeballs.

I bought the SSV because of the simplicity!

CANNABIS should be our focus!

@Vitolo knows a SSV the best!

Not Steama, but I do have a little experience with each heater wand combos. I do think the spherical does hit the best, closely followed by the ground glass, and then the standard. The design of the spherical works great.

The standard takes a little more finess IMHO. The ground glass might be best with smaller loads, although there are mods for each style that make vaping small loads easier. And the ground glass might be best working with glass because the wand locks into place.

I sold my LSV and bought a SSV.

Their both good!

I'm a bit strange however with Grand Daddy Purple the SSV kicks my @ss!

The LVS was too much work for me however the SSV is easier for me!
LSV is a great tool and I might buy one again.

The SSV works so well I won't change it!
Just add.

Add: The customer service from 7th Floor is the best!

The biggest difference is the ssv is a stationary whip vaporizer while the lsv is a handheld cylinder. I use them both equally. The lsv can get hot if you turn the temp up. But I just wrap a pot holder around it. There's very little difference in performance and versatility except the lsv is better for direct draw.

Does anyone notice a butane taste when leaving the wand hooked jn?I have the ground glass and sometimes I let it sit there for a sec. I notice a strong butane smell and taste that completely blocks any herb flavor from the bow.where is the clean clear taste I want

I swear it is! Could it be from the element being too close to the heater cover ?I need to figure out why I'm getting this taste. Or maybe the basket I'm using ?I never rinsed it with iso before using.

It's not the herb. Tastes great in everything else. I
I only get that taste when I let it sit in the SSV for a sec. Yet the flavor isn't as good as it should be. I know 7th floor vapes and Im not getting that wonderful taste on low Temps. Cloud production is good bit taste isn't. Something is not right. But it's not the herbs.

I don't know what it could be, there's no butane involved anywhere in that vaporizer. Do you have a weirdly stinky whip or something? How does it taste if you draw through it all by itself?

I'd change screens as well, just to see if nothing else. I've had metallic tasting screens before.

It does sound like herb washed with butane though. Or even herb stored in a jar that was exposed to butane. I know you said no, but that is the most likely.

I believe my issue was microscopic pieces of glass being crushed by the GG connection, idk. No amount of cleaning seemed to make a difference.

I went to grab the GG HC one day to try on the LSV and it was broken, just sitting on my shelf. So my guess is it was faulty glass.

Wish you luck, a funky taste scares me enough to not want to use my vape. Sucks, it's the reason I ditched the Cloud+.
