If the colors don't work out, they look fairly easy to disassemble and paint. That is what I would do if the colors sucked. Im OK with my black and purple ssv tho.

To follow up on @Herb-nerd 's post about my involvement with 7th Floor on the forum, here's how I can be of the most help to you guys...
If you want a cheap, blemished unit when they are available, just go to the 7th Floor site and get one. They are a great deal and can't be beat.
If you want anything else that is standard, shoot me a pm. I'll quote you guys on anything they have, but where I can really help is when you want a package of stuff or a pimped out unit. I'm ordering and playing with as much of it as I can so I can best lead you to a package that really suits your needs.
For instance, I just got a sweet kit that is a green/yellow SSV with the aromatop, minicycler, two different heater cover/wand combinations, custom wand and mouthpiece and some connectors for glass. If you wanted any stuff like this, I'm confident you can get a better deal through me instead of elsewhere. Personally, I'm in love with the aromatop, and therefore prefer the ground glass heater cover so I can go hands free while smelling good!

I got into a discussion with a friend of mine concerning using a water bubbler with the SSV. My experience is limited to my D020-D but I was complaining about how impractical it is to use hands-free as the blow-back pressure generated by the bubbler will force air back over the wand, pushing the herb out and, often, into the heating element.
He wondered if it's particular to the design of this bubbler, my hunch is that this will occur with any bubbler but I wanted to ask you guys here...those of you who use a water filtration device, do you have this issue? I've read other accounts confirming this but wonder all the same.

Yeah, I've been doing that since my first incident with the shit catching fire, not at all my preference and that's what got my discussion going with my friend. He seems to believe that a different bubbler could produce different results (i.e. no blowback) but I can't imagine how that would work unless there are multiple chambers in the bubbler that can attenuate the pressure somehow....if that even is physically possible.

Yes. I have some glass that the blowback is less and some that has more. I believe it is governed by how fast the water can return to the chamber, displacing the air that is in there.
A recylcer might do better as water return is slower?!?
What about a check valve? A ball that moves out of the way on inhale, but gets forced to cover the return hole when pressure goes the opposite way.

Yeah @KidFated., the easiest path will be favored but I'm thinking of something like two different chambers in serial with diffusers, perhaps the one closest to the mouthpiece will buffer the pressure....no wait, that makes no sense, any flowback will go back to the previous chamber and potentially back out the wand.

I get blow back into the heater area. I usually pull the wand to clear first, so this baffles me. Maybe it doesn't do it when I remove the wand and I need to pay more attention. I just know I see a little pile of abv in the heater cover sometimes.

I've only gotten blowback when I try and use my lotus on a magic flight orb. I've tried a variety of glass on the ssv without issue, so I think it's the bubbler. When I use my lotus with my ssv-branded spiral sherlock bubbler, I have no issue with blowback. I clear my glass pieces by yanking the hose out of them.

What??! I clear by first removing the wand then the hose. I do only have 1 glass piece, but I would expect the same routine with pretty much any other glass piece - otherwise blowblack...?

Not to me, I'm currently using an old cleaned-up combustion bong with a new 14mm downstem, and a plain ssv hose end jammed into it for a perfect air-tight seal. I'm using the @DDave mod, so the load is right up front and as close to the heating element as it can get. I've also used smaller bubblers without the mod.

Mine is due here next Thursday...its in Honolulu right now ,one of youre favourite spots no doubt.
it arrived there via Memphis Tennessee via Denver Colorado...What a trip that would be..
Im hoping, like other courier stuff Ive recieved before,it arrives early.
I have no ideas of anything,colour or heater cover.Kris from seventh floor mentioned it's luck of the draw with heater covers & colours when You buy a blem.
Im still hoping for a standard cover to start off with, but not too fussed either way..I just wanna get going now.Good outdoor medicine is a blessing indeed.should be no worries for a SSV
