From my understanding, as long as the rosin flows outside of the heat then you can press as long as you wish.
So far I prefer lower temps 220-230F for about a 20-30 second press. Repeat a second time.
I like the lower temp longer press to attempt to preserve terpenes.
I don't think there is anything wrong with shorter presses at higher temps, I just don't think it turns out quite as good but I'm a noob to rosin so what do I know
Was it maybe my post about the Critical Mass CBD oil? That had 30% thc, but then it also had 30% cbd (which is why the thc is much lower than normal concentrates).
@2clicker there is definitely such a thing as too much moisture. I cut off a lower popcorn nug (plant is about 1 week from harvest and was watered the day before I believe) and tried immediately pressing it. Didn't get any rosin, mostly just murkey colored water.
As soon as I am able to, I am going to try pressing freshly harvested bud after a couple days of drying for a semi live resin rosin. I believe @Joel W. did this with good success (IIRC I think he said he dtied it for 4 days before squishing?). Maybe it will be even more flavorful then cured bud rosin. Who knows?!?!?

@poonman Dude! Thanks! Well, completely disregard my earlier question then. I wish I could remember which thread linked the 30% thc because that's the only one I'd seen and it just didn't make sense (why I asked).
These results look much more in line with what I'd expect from these concentrated looking extractions. Thanks again for the link.
