@Crosin

Hello. Are you employed by (or otherwise represent) Graveda? I noticed the only posts you have on FC involve somewhat passionately promoting and/or defending their product(s).
Damn. You just blew my cover.

Well, if you’ve had issues with Graveda’s customer service, I’m sorry to hear that—problems, my friend, exist to be solved.

I’m guessing that you're, as well, going to tell me that 10 tons is “okay for starters,” but nothing specia
l. And even though it only costs two months’ salary, it’s “good for beginners”???—a phrase that sounds cool, like it’s coming from someone who knows everything about presses and rosin, graciously sharing their subjective opinion with an unworthy newcomer and the rest of the group.

It’s the same story everywhere, from the first forums up to this day.

When you’re new on the scene, the veterans, the ones who’ve been there forever, will instantly jump to defend —their comrade-in-arms—based on their tenure. Even if that person is spouting total nonsense, like claiming 10 tons is “for beginners” or that two months’ salary equals, 500EUR.

And yes, the Graveda s C.E.O. just called me (I am on his speed dial) to stop the bleeding here. :myday:

Lastly-I quote you in your baseless statement- "I noticed the only posts you have on FC involve somewhat passionately promoting and/or defending their product(s)."-

You tried to create the spin that I defend all kinds of product(s) adding the "s" to create pluralWhile I was here yesterday or the day before for the first time in my life. I have 3 or 4 posts altogether — all about the same brand.-Einstein.

You do not display brilliance-to say the least-in your attempt to discredit me. Not very intelligent, since everyone can verify my claim that iI have virtually no posts on FC and see my date of registration on FC and the fact that I have 3 or 4 posts on this site and registered yesterday or the day before. On another thread I dared to tell my opinion bout the press-so, hardly an advertising campaign, eh?

I am merely EXTREMELY happy that I have my press on the way. I have the sativa I want to press waiting and ready for the press.

You are placing punches below the belt, BUT I SEE THROUGH YOU.:wave::wave:-I am a freelance linguist who ordered a 10 Ton press from Graveda and landed here 60 hours ago looking for forums related to rosin.-I am not connected to Graveda in any way except in your shameless post as you are trying to insinuate but failed miserably.

Next.

And worst of all, because of such stories and attacks, I’m forced to defend myself, which makes it seem like I came here to argue, when all I care about is rosin without those damned solvents.

I inquired Dabpress about their EU operations but they seem out of business completely. A press is already big enough, adding a 110/220 converter is quite deal breaking, as much as I would like to have that resin dripping aid that dabpress plates should provide.

Dear ******,

Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry that we have not resumed sales in Europe. You can try to purchase on eBay. But you need a voltage transformer from 220v to 110v.

eBay has an international shipping program. You can place orders as normal like US customers, you need to pay Goods and Services Tax and shipping fee. We have EU customers who placed order successfully.

Any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
Best regards,
Judy

This seems an appropriate place to ask...

Once you've pressed your flower into rosin, and you then use your spent puck for oil/tincture - does it need to be further decarbed? Or does the 3-5 minutes under a press decarb it sufficiently?

If you're going to eat it then it needs decarbing either before or after

I have decarbed pucks on the plates in Volcano bags, then placed the decarbed material into rosin press bags which were then left to steep in jars of MCT and Ethanol, then given a good squeeze in a clamp to recover as much as possible.

I seem to remember a negative experience in the past with this company but no details...

Anyway, IMO you don't really want resin dripping out unless you like quantity over quality....

If the temp is so high that the rosin is dripping, it is not top quality... but probably OK.

If I had a home I would probably buy a Graveda press because the actual professional gear is actually expensive.

I have been pressing with my 10t Dabpress for just over 6 years and it is great, driptech sure does preserve extra terps by getting the rosin off the plates more quickly. I can also grab the first couple of drips in the first 30 seconds to 1 minute of the press (a press can take 2-5 minutes depending on strain) if I want that extra blonde stuff that you will never see with flat plates unless you are chasing under a 10% return or re-press the puck to get the bulk out. I also use temps from 65-99c, again, it depends on the strain. That said I have one strain that never drips (I always use a 10g bud puck) that only returns 8-8.5% where the usual is 18-25% for the 5 strains I grow.

Hey LP

What do you mean when you say:
if I want that extra blonde stuff that you will never see with flat plates unless you are chasing under a 10% return or re-press the puck to get the bulk out.

Why isn't 'blonde' possible with more than 10% return.
I tend to find repressing results in a darker output.
I'm a bit confused....

I don't use drip tech. I'm sure if I had that feature I would but I don't see it as essential tbh. It's not something I would consider essentially, whereas I really value a pressure gauge. Perhaps if I was pressing more than 8g of bubble at a time I might appreciate drip tech but I'm using low temp and quick press time/ really low pressure so I think my terp preservation is pretty good.

Anyway, I'm fairly pleased with my results. Not sure if this press is blonde enough?

Cheers

The first couple of drips that come off certain strains are nearly always lighter in colour than the rest of the press if you separate them, this is with cured buds, not bubble that I have seen...your product looks beautiful by the way.
Thanks LP. Understand.

I'm tending to favour live now although I have done some lemon cake recently using cured buds that are producing really nice stuff.
