How are you guys cleaning out the glass piece?
I've soaked it in both isopropyl (50% - haven't been able to find 90%+ since Covid) and PBW over two separate nights and there's still significant residue at the water-line.
Use the plugs to shake constantly too and adding some salt always helps
Changing water more regularly will help slow the build-up to start with...if you don't already.
Try Randy at puffitup.com If you reach out to them and let them know you are a member here they will typically throw you a discount code. https://puffitup.com/products/the-rio-by-stache-productsThis product looks great. I live flavor and don't get as much flavor as I want with my current vapes. This seems like it may be easier to use than those e-rigs that people seem to like for a few weeks until a different one that does the exact same thing comes out. Of course some companies do it better. This sounds even better than the Switch!. All glass pathway so no nasty tastes! Seriously this is the one I'm getting next. Is there a rep on here for them? Or a contact person. I want to see if I can get a discount. Is the base silicone?
Does anyone know where to get one of these in Europe?
Thanks
Just got my Stache Rio in. First thing I noticed, no directions.....Looks simple to figure out but would have liked to have some directions.
So far I don't really like it at all. Doesn't come with directions and the butane torch doesn't even have a fill window like most, so it must be a really cheap torch. There is flame coming out but it's difficult to adjust/doesn't adjust at all. Well now I got it working, but my first two dabs taste like plastic/burnt rubber. However, I'm super baked right now so all is well. Just maybe I put the torch on too long. I want low temp dab for flavor, but it seems this live rosin always burns. It burned it the e-rigs I tried, and it just burned now using a torch/stach rio. I just do like 10 seconds next. When I come down enough to figure that out....
Hmm this time I put the live resin right on top of the "puck" inside the banger, was that how it's supposed to go?. Or do you put in on the side in the bottom in between the wall and floor. The latter being the one I started with before. It still tasted of burnt rubber but was less strong because the could was wispy...
You should give it a little bit of time before you make a final judgement. When I first started to use the Rio I would constantly over heat but now I know how to work with this vape, practice makes perfect they say. You are right that the torch should have a window to see your butane level, but my Big shot Blazer torch doesn't have one and I wouldn't call it "cheap" either. I put my concentrate at the bottom of the banger, if you put it at the top of the puck the heat takes too much time to reach it and melt the concentrate that's why the hit was wispy, not enough heat left after the resin melted to produce vapor. Watch when the resin start to boil that's the best indicator to know when to inhale. Also try with another concentrate, if that resin gives you trouble with other e-rig I don't see why it would behave differently in the Rio.Wife just hates the torch. I'll have to find something else. I still have hope for the Dr.Dabber switch. It looks to me to be one of if not the best of the e-rigs. Sorry I didn't know if bringing up other products in this thread would be ok.
