Hey all, just got my Sliver in the mail yesterday. Having some technical difficulties at the moment. Kept saying there was a short somewhere. Also, just a heads up, anyone who is testing these will need to make sure they are using a regulated device that can handle ohm levels as low as
.05ohm.
The Gen 3s definitely work with the Sliver, but others might have issues. Be sure to check the specs on your mods before usage.
If your Splinter encounters a short, loosen the screws slightly. Make sure they are still snug, but just not super tightened down.
You can also use the included bamboo sticks and dab tool to reshape your coil if you have to do any trimming or take the coil off the RDA base. It produces the perfect setup.

I spent 3 hours today working on mine. My unit keeps shorting out and I think the coil screws are the culprit. If they are tightened down with anything more than a feathers touch, it comes back with a short. I've also raised the ohm level up a bit by trimming about 1/16th off the long edge (it's now up to .1ohm).
Wattage wise, I have found that 15W is the max mine will go without hot spotting and starting to glow red. I personally won't be going over 15 Watts with this particular coil until we get things more dialed in. I'll be testing actual dab performance later on when I don't have a child running around

I also attempted to swap out the screws for ones with slightly smaller screwheads and that did not help with shorting, so it may not be the screws at fault, but the interaction with the mesh heater being pinched between the deck and the screwhead. Still too early to tell atm
