You should be able to remove the bottom plate and then tighten the lock ring that secures the button.

ill try this weekend sometime thanks SquirrelMaster

he messaged me on instagram and he will ship to canada because ive bought from him before - im snagging one of those splinters
That's not what my wallet wanted to hear . Thanks for the info, I really appreciate you sharing. I will forever be an RBT fan, Ryan makes wicked devices and has always gone above and beyond in my experience.

There are a few Mi'3 popping up on IG as well so of anyone is interested keep an eye on both his IG accounts. He posts on both about new units and then they go for sale on rbt.md

I am pretty sure I have seen a video on youtube showing how to replace the button, not sure if it is still up but it's worth a look.

Well I went 4 weeks with no accidental combustion and then last night it happened. I guess my battery had a higher charge than I thought. The performance you get AFTER you let off the button is NO JOKE and it must be respected. That's when it happened.
I let the stem and screens soak in ISO overnight. Gave the bowl and bowl floor on the unit a quick q-tip swab with white vinegar and water for good measure. Today all smoke smell seems to be gone.
That's a whole lot more forgiving than combusting in the Dynavap, where ISO bathing the stem and burying it in baking soda for a week doesn't do shit to get rid of the smoke smell ...lol

Hi the RBT's community!
I have a question for you : What about the Milaana2 like a portable vape, compared to the 3? I have the opportunity to buy one used (but perfect) in my EU country but i don't know really what to think about it. If there is a 3, maybe the 2 isn't so good to invest my money? I daily use a Dynavap and a Runt by SBL and i love them. I use an Herborizer at home. I like milky vapor and big hits. I need something easy to use, with good battery life. What do you think guys and girls? Must i go to this vape? Thx. Have fun!

If you have a chance to get a Milaana 2 then get it. You might not get an opportunity to buy a Milaana 3 and the differences are mostly cosmetic.

Agreed. I have a both a 3 and a 2 and I actually like the 2 a little better. It doesn't hit quite as hard as the 3, but you can compensate via technique. In any case, you can't go wrong with either.

My man!

My 2 is just walnut and walnut. That black and tan is tasteful. One of my Zs is wenge.

I recommend the clear vigreaux stem from @Vlad the Inhaler when the time comes to treat yourself again

Thanks! I flip flopped for a while on the available options he posted on IG, actually went with a different one for my first choice... had second thoughts and switched to this one. Really glad I did!

Yeah thats next up on my stem-list. Last time I had talked to him he didnt have any in stock so maybe it's time I reach out again...

I'm picturing the button @Rab42 installed on his device in yours and I think it would look great if you had the inclination.

I think you're absolutely right. That info somewhere in this thread? Where to buy the button, how to swap it etc? I'm not the best person for intricate/delicate work or really anything that requires patience  so I'll have to see what exactly is involved before I go for it but I do think that would look epic

Just got my 2, had my 3 for a while. If you have the chance for a 2 I would jump on it. I originally had the same thoughts, thinking the newer, more updated model is better (like how most normal product advancements go) but I dont think that really applies here. The 2 and 3 are just different.

The 2 feels more casual & relaxing than the 3, IMO. The 3 hits harder, faster, and requires more balancing of the fire button.

ok thanks! Does the Mi2 hits hard too? (with more technique, isn't it?). What about battery life? (how many session by charge? durability?). I don't like so much battery vapes because of manipulations it needs but i want one for easier use outside...It's a spalted one to sell here, looks really great.

Yeah, the Mi 2 (like the 3) hits as hard as you want it to. Just does so a little less quickly than the 3. The upside of the 3 imo is that it has been wholly consistent, performance-wise. I don't think I've held the button in without getting vapor once with the 3 whereas that happened on occasion with the 2. The big upside of the 2 is its size (not to mention its looks). The 3 got big enough to not want to be toted around in my pants pocket while the 2 is a perfect fit. With the capped stem in a coin pocket the Mi 2 is a perfectly portable vape.

I don't notice the difference in battery charge. I get 3 or four stems out of both before it's time to change up. If there's a difference it's not enough to notice.

Yeah I haven't had too much time to expirement with the 2 yet, but put about 2-3 batteries worth of vaping through it over the weekend.

Definitely more pocketable than the 3, feels a little more comfortable in the hand I think with the slightly smaller size.

Just to clarify when I say "hitting hard" its not that the 2 gets you less high. They'll both get you to the same place, the 2 just takes more time on the button in comparison to the 3, to extract the same amount. Which I noticed seems to help me slow down and appreciate the process a bit more. With the 3 I seem to be more worried about keeping the temps under control, the 2 I can relax and sip for a whilee. Doesn't require as much direct attention.

I'd say 3 or 4 stems is probably about right for one battery.

Yeah they all had hard, the power is the same regardless, it is dependent on the battery voltage (charge) level, but some are just a little faster to heat than others... All are still basically instant on demand pure convection, more analog open loop heating, so you get great flavorful full-bodied vapor, regardless of which RBT product thanks to the simple design and large powerful heater!

Especially since you are only getting one to try, you will have nothing to compare it to, it will feel great, you will not feel like you are missing anything by not having the newer model. The improvements are subjective and largely superficial... However I must tell you, if it is a spalted maple Milaana I doubt it is actually a Milaana2... Pretty sure there were none, Mi2 most have walnut or sapele bodies, with different or matching wood bottom caps... They have a squared off rectangular body, and sit a little taller with thicker wood for the bottom caps, and it has the air intake hole in the front above the button... It seems like maybe what you might be getting, is a Milaana1.5 actually... Air intake at the top, with mesh screen, rounded body, matching spalted bottom cap? Share a photo if you can!

The point being, regardless of which version of the Milaana, they will all be very capable very effective very top-tier vape for you based on your other vape experience... The technology has not changed between them as I said, so either way you are getting a fantastic modern vape!! No need to worry about having the latest version in this case

I cannot see the top, to confirm the air intake, but I can tell that there is no air intake hole on the front button side... and the battery side does indeed look to be rounded, plus spalted body and a matching bottom cap from one piece of wood... So that, my friend, is a Milaana 1.5, and a very rare find, that I suggest you snatch up immediately!!

I am not a vaporizer collector, I'm looking for an easy to use and efficient vape. reading you all, I think it would satisfy me, right?

Yes a Milaana is still a Milaana, overall a phenomenal vape for anyone to own, I'm just saying this one is extra special, extra unique! It will still work great, and very similar to the 2 and 3. A key difference though, is it will have a more wide open airflow, so that just means a little more manual technique involved. For me this would mean, drawing slower is all, and it won't make a difference because you have nothing else to compare it to, you are coming into a Milaana as a brand new device to you. In that regard they are all going to be the same, all going to be very effective, so yes this is a good choice to satisfy you and your stated needs!

another thing to consider is the pre-milaana 3's were all handmade by ryan here in the u.s .... the milaana 3's are made in china ... i have a 1.5 and a 2 and decided against picking up a three because i liked the usa artisan made vape vibe (it's what drew me to the milaana in the first place).
