I have a Mi1 (1.5?) and I just discovered a crack in the glass joint where the stem goes. I can't explain it. I'm so careful! It's my daily-driver so I'm sad now. If anyone can point me in the right direction to fix it properly, I would be so grateful.
This may be super dumb, but!
Make sure that it’s not just the adhesive; sometimes it makes a weird cracky looking line down in the glass. My 1.5 does, 2 less so, and I tripped out on more than one of my splinter units for the same even though I hadn’t noticed it prior.
Not saying it’s not, but it might not.
then again, I HAVE had broken heater glass too, soooo.

Love that stem! Where did you acquire that mouthpiece?
I put some boro beads in my mi3 stem yesterday, secured with a basket screen, but I like the form of your stem much more!
Howdy, I posted over in the ZionM if you wanna check that out butttt...

This is The Rogue Wax Works WPA for RBT and Tiny Might stems. It is a Arylic wrapped titanium mouthpiece that come with three o-rings. I put a flat screen being it so the beads don't fall out. This product FLYS off his shelf and doesn't keep them in stock long. He sells two variants, this one and a Vapman WPA. Do not get confused and purchase the Vapman WPA as this will not work. Follow him on insta to watch when the drops will occur.

I used 3mm borosilicate beads that you can get at any store that sells lab grade equipment...often times sold as boiling beads/stones for those who wanted more info on that.
Edit: also the beautiful tool in the picture is from TRWW as well

Awesome, thank you for the detailed response. I’ll peep your other post as well.

Hmmm, I wonder if that fancy pattern on the inside makes it cool the vapor better than the xl8r's? It looks more intricate than the xl8r spikes...
I have several phineas stems and xl8rs and the phineas stems definitely provide more cooling than the xl8rs, but thats not entirely a good thing. Its definitely easier to get a better hit without a lot of practice on an xl8r than the phineas stems, because with the extra cooling its difficult to use heat as an indicator of hit-size. I like them both a lot, and love the colors on the phineas stems, but I usually end up reaching for an xl8r. For this reason Im actually really interested in trying one of Phineas' shorty stems, I hope it solves that problem.

I agree with this 100%. My Phineas stem is great, super high quality, but almost provides too much cooling for my taste - I too use the heat to regulate my hit. I am also interested in his shorty stems.

Yup, Unklmark on IG is fastest I got my Milaana II fixed and returned to me in Hawaii in about 6 days from me shipping to getting it back. Great work, and great guy to deal with.

Yeah you already got some replies, and this was covered previously, they absolutely cool better, you can look up vigreux cooling and see how much better those spikes are! More of them, levels of three spikes pointing down, towards the vapor, we've been talking about these for a while here

Thanks, I'll follow up with him.

This looks like the glass to me, but I can't actually feel any cracks.

I can relate. I felt that way about the long xl8r stem. There is something about warm (but NOT hot) vapor that is more satisfying to me than cool vapor. The factory Milaana short stem is harsh and hot. My short xl8r is lovely but warm. The long xl8r produces cool vapor that makes me feel a bit disconnected from the Milaana. So that short vigreux stem may just hit the sweet spot. Call it the goldilocks effect....not too hot, not too cool, just right.

I just had a few bowls in my Mutant with a nub stem and my throats a little dry right now and found it difficult to finish a bowl. Using my Phineas now in the p80zm and it's perfecto. So the extra cooling is useful sometimes and not an issue for me with regulated, but yea in general looking for that goldilocks vapor temp 👌

I’ve also found the warmer vapor makes it slightly easier to tell when to let off the button.

Is it normal for the button to get warm during use? Still learning how to use my Mi3 but I noticed my button gets noticeably warm during use. Should I be worried?

Well I guess that meant the button was going out. Not getting any power now. Only lasted about a week…
I'm having the same issue as you. The button started going warm and now it doesn't work. I'm gonna open it up and see what I can do. Does anyone here know if KGWoodcrafts is still doing repair work?
