Seriously considering finally hitting one of these local "stoner fam" events with my daughter and her non-stoner bf next month:
I actually got tix a few years ago to one but ended up blowing it off... either way, it'll be close enough so we won't need to camp but the exact location isn't disclosed til closer to event time... Could be fun...? Maybe...?

Now that the Supreme Court has determined that it's legal to criminalize homelessness, I have a question:
You don't have a home. So you get arrested. It's not a life sentence, so you'll be released. But you still don't have a home. So you'll get arrested again. And so on.
Now that you're stuck in this infinite loop, how are you supposed to get a job so you can afford a home?
By the way, everybody is always 2 or 3 bad breaks from being homeless. "Not me bro, I'm built different", yeah that's what every homeless person thought at one point, you dummy.

No, no, they haven't criminalized homelessness, only sleeping on public property. And private property.
This smells worse than debtor's prison. At least with that you knew you were being punished for non-payment of debt.
Here, simply being is the crime, since it doesn't matter where you be, to be breaking the law?

Frankly, I mostly spend time in wealthier Liberal areas. Most of these Liberals would support either putting the unhoused in concentration camps or just shooting them all. Because the alternative solutions might hurt their home values a bit.
I'm not even totally unsympathetic. We've built a society where 99% of people have no security. Home values provide a little bit of that.
I think people should mark down this week. It is one of the worst weeks in modern American history, and that's saying a lot. There will be many horrific things coming down the pike in the next few decades that you'll be able to directly trace back to the last week of June, 2024.

Am I the only person on earth who likes Windows 11? It's flawless for me but everybody seems to bitch about it.
Maybe I'm just in the sweetspot. Boomers and Zoomers never learned how to use a computer. The kids cuz they aways on they phones. Meanwhile I grew up as a kid using Windows desktops in the 90's
