A red oak PD...I wasn't aware they were available in red oak. That sounds interesting.slip said:I'll be taking delivery of a red oak PD tomorrow (science willing).
You edited that before I could reply, but if they were on sale this evening they are now gone.jawsh said:Can't wait to get my PD.... all this talk is making me go crazy!
So the beads go in the bong. Now that is starting to make sense. Does this enhance the delivery of the goods from the PD?Survivalism said:Ahh!! Yeah sorry haha would be almost impossible to understand what i was saying without prior knowledge of beads, here are some pics
All the beads do is cool down and smooth out the vapor, this is not the correct thread for discussing beads though.. please post in the thread i linked too earlier.josh said:A red oak PD...I wasn't aware they were available in red oak. That's weird. I bought 3 a while back from Jameco and had no issues. Definitely a savings vs. Vapenow- $9.95 vs. $20. I paid about $8 shipping so the delivered unit price is under $13. Jameco adapterstickstones said:Well, after waiting 8 days for Jameco to send me two replacement wall warts they showed up today. Weirdest thing ever, neither one of them was the right part, and they weren't even the same as each other. They came in two different size boxes (which tipped me off to check them out before using them) with the right part number on the box, but the adapters weren't even Jameco brand. It looked like some bozo took two used wall warts out of his house and stuck them in boxes and shipped them out to me.
Called them and they are sending me replacements, but they won't get here for another 5 days and they want me to go through the hassle of sending these bogus ones back. I wouldn't call it bad customer service, but nothing to be proud of either.
I'll probably be out of weed by the time they get here, as I was hoping to be able to stretch this last bit with my PD.
Good to hear the shop is coming along nicely. I've known a few luthier friends that have built their own dedicated workshops and love how streamlined and efficient everything goes afterward.Purple-Days said:Patience..
Update from PD land:
Lots of time put into building the shop last week. Some of you know I was a carpenter, and this was a fun project. Pammy has a coat of paint on and I need to get trim done then roofing, but it's looking good.
So, All Purple-Days are being built in the PD Shop. It's so nice. Not done at all but such an improvement. Should speed production by a good margin. Really. And that should help the S/D situation. We had such limited space, and now, both of us can work at the same time.
Pammy has been taking pics. We went with the same colors as the house, beige and white trim and still plan on a green door,so when the building supply has green shingles... Yep, it's getting in place. Put the locks in yesterday.
Could the plug from this w/w be the wrong size? Maybe the hole on the plug is too large .(just by a little bit) It doesn't take much.slip said:I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I took delivery of a beautiful red oak PD right before noon. The bad news is that the Jameco power supply isn't getting any juice (tested with DMM). More bad news is that a quick continuity check shows that the car charger fuse has blown.
My local Radio Shack was no help on the adapter, so I've currently got it plugged in to another 12v adapter, which has 12v 850mA output.
I've only had it plugged in around ten minutes, but I'm not getting any hot air with a straw test.
Can someone describe how to tell if you are getting power to the unit? I'm sure that this wall-wart is working.
That's the one I got and it didn't fit. Also, you can take the adapters into radio shack and they can test them for you. I had them do this before I went and ordered from Jameco.slip said:Thanks, Tom. You've got some mail.
Sticks - I just talked to a RS here has a unit that accepts different sized plugs, so I'll cruise over there when I get off in 45 minutes. I'll be picking up a couple of fuses as well. In the meantime I'm tempted to cut off the female plug end and test the wires on the jameco adapter.
