@cloudsosmoke - your Alice pic vexed my vestibular victrola.
The Airplane's White Rabbit began playing.
But with even stranger lyrics than the original.

"One load in the capsule, and one load in the bowl.
One load vapes you larger, and one load vapes you small.
Go ask Markus. I think he'll know."

Looking forward to playing with the reducer. Soon some discussions will begin.
Long draw duration should no longer be required to get good density from small weights.
Maybe I should buy the little cleaning brushes that all the cool kids use on the EVO ELBs.

Speaking of, hope you're enjoying that EVO, @Socks And Sandals !

i nearly used this one instead

re capsules

because they work in all the S&B vapes

there will be posts about the same subject in 4 different threads

does anyone think it would be a good idea to maybe start a new thread to keep it all in one place from the beginning - S&B capsules in any S&B vape?

What just continually amazes me is how a manufacturer will design an accessory, and then the users acquire said accessories and find uses that sometimes exceed those resulting from the manufacturer intentions. Users don't follow instructions and can be ingenious. So I am seeing with these dosing capsules. I love the idea of just turning the capsules base over onto grind sitting in the reduced Plenty chamber base waiting to be covered. A loose tight weave screen over that, then the usual cooling chamber. So far I am not liking the capsules used per S&B suggestions. Equally as messy as loose with liquid pad overtop. Maybe more messy. Cheers

@BeWise

thanks for quoting my post three times lol
very flattering

but make what happen?

ive had my reducer since this morning

so far i think the caps change taste quite a lot
so i had session with just new reducer with small load covered by crafty liquid pad (which fits quite nicely) with temp wheel set at 5 - so no capsule ( ..no cap litter)

i think i recognised that sweet plenty taste that you maybe dont get if you use capsule

but of course every test gets you higher so now im starting to get too medicated to be sure of very much..

im now hoping for some in-depth reviews and how-tos from experienced FC members to be posted

edit - a word

Plenty 3 yrs, Crafty 1.6 yrs. Love them. Learning how to easily use them efficiently for 1/8 down to 1/16 tspn is what I like doing. So liquid pad almost always. Now just half of a dose cap with slow pull seems really wonderful. I like it and no more mess than liquid pad. Cheers

No one can create a new thread in the vape specific area. However for most of the rest of the forum, all are free to start threads. If someone wants to start a thread about the capsules in the Vapor Related Equipment section for example, I won't stop them. I do think it would be a little chaotic due to the capsules being used in 4 different devices, but it's perfectly fine if someone wants to do it.

Chamber reducer comments after one day. Need to test more, but running out of testing material.
Bad timing.

Slightly increased draw resistance, as expected.
Don't notice any flavor difference with capsule.
Dump capsule -- don't try to grab capsule after session -- steel reducer very hot.

Better visible exhaled vapor results loading directly into reducer.
Better than using capsule.

Need neat way of loading directly, like an eighth teaspoon scoop.
Only add 50 to 100 mg, then place Crafty sized liquid pad over.
(The reduced chamber is same size as crafty chamber)
This yields similar results as crafty loaded the same way.

If ordering, I would get reducer with another plastic housing kit.
Bundle reducer, housing, some caps or screens, to go over $25 for free shipping.
This way you have two different style chambers ready for the task at hand.

More comments after testing supplies are procured.

re measuring spoons

found this on wikipedia

A pinch in cooking (pn) is an amount of an ingredient, typically salt, sugar, or spice. Traditionally it was defined as "an amount that can be taken between the thumb and forefinger".[1] Historically the pinch was more precisely defined by Leslie Godwin as approximately 1⁄8teaspoon.[2]

but next paragraph

In the early 2000s some companies began selling measuring spoons that defined (or redefined) a dashas 1⁄8 teaspoon, a pinch as 1⁄16 teaspoon, and a smidgen as 1⁄32 teaspoon.[1][3] Based on these spoons, there are two pinches in a dash and two smidgens in a pinch.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinch_(cooking)

so i think that means a modern pinch is 1/16 tsp

$_57.JPG

i found these on ebay after a bit of digging
norpro measuring spoons 18/10 stainless steel
if second paragraph on wiki is right - the smallest is 1/64 tsp ..the biggest 1/4 tsp

spoon-shaped so dont necessarily fit chamber shape
i have another set of 3 square ones which i use mostly - only really got these for that smallest size - a drop - i like to experiment with micro-doses as well as full chambers

dont know what weight any of these sizes are

just checked usability..
its fairly easy to fill crafty size/shape chamber using size up to pinch before non-symmetrical shape makes it a difficult fit - so you could get spillage (..id normally just use square ones - they match chamber shape)
edit: a few words

easy for any spoon size to fill normal plenty chamber of course

also

i noticed the underneath of reducer makes contact with hot air generator in a different way from normal chamber

Yeah guys, if any of you get ahold of this reduced chamber, please let us know what you think of it. I'm really curious, especially having just discovered for myself that with the Plenty, less is more! :D

@Bunnymustard, Must be synchronicity... As I kinda had you in mind when I came on here to extol the virtue of the Reducer chamber and the Capsules from S & B!!

Re The reduced chamber,

The reduced chamber is the TRUTH, I got mine the other day and it has transformed my Plenty from a regular 'fuck U up' machine:goon:, into a 'Ultra FUCK U Up Proper,' piece of kit.:rockon:
The reducer takes away the main issue with the Plenty (imho) i.e. The guzzling aspect!
Yeah the liqui-pad can address the problem of the over-sized chamber, but not in the same way as the reducer chamber, it makes the Plenty into a 'lethal' vaporizer (In a good way)!
Please note, I have the Vapexhale EVO, (for which I've just ordered another piece of glass from DHgate) but in light of the reducer (and also Capsules), I can say that the EVO is on a summer break for now.

Don't get me wrong the water filter on the EVO is nice, very nice, if the truth be told, but there is something uniquely penetrating and satisfying about vapor from the Plenty with this piece of kit.

Long story short, invest in the reducer, your Plenty vaping experience will be greatly enhanced for having it! The capsules are good, they work in all the S & B vapes, (although not tried them in the Volcano Digit yet) But I can vouch for the fact that they work very well with the Plenty (Reducer) if you choose to use them!
One thing though, the capsules can be finicky little blighters, and if you ain't careful, they can easily bend out a shape, but you can sort that easy enough!

Not saying,:) just saying,:2c: without saying,;)

Peace :leaf:

That all sounds awesome! I'll definitely give the reduced chamber a buy. What would you say is its maximum capacity? I'd imagine something like .3? And I'll probably need to get the reduced chamber-sized liquid pads to effectively use as little as .1?

With the dosing capsules, I guess I can pre-load a whole bunch of them for easier marathon sessions. Like, just keep switching out the capsules one after another, instead of emptying, brushing clean, and refilling the chamber. That sounds like a huge time saver and mess-reducer. Heh, that's what they should call the capsules. Along with the "Reduced Chamber", purchase yourself some "Time & Mess Reducers".

A couple great discoveries I've made since my last post:
It turns out that my full chamber sessions with the Plenty when I first posted, I truly was overpacking and reducing airflow. I've tried a loose full pack a few times now, and HOLY GOD DAMN SHIT! I wasn't just high, I ascended to an alternate dimension! On a scale of 1 to 10, I was potato. :o

Also, after months of trial and error, I've finally figured out the minimum amount I need to have a pleasant time and still be functional enough to do fun things without couchlock: Exactly 0.1g, or roughly half a teaspoon (In my DaVinci Ascent, that is. I'll need the reduced chamber to effectively use that little in the Plenty). That's like, a QUARTER of the amount per session I've been vaping all these months, maybe even less than that! I'm absolutely elated, because saving money is always great! :p Although, that does mean I've been sort of wasting a TON all this time.

So do you guys think this will increase sales for S&B since the word is getting out on how well these reducers and capsules perform? Also what is the deal with the tighter draw and what's the deal with preferring not to use the capsules and rather pour the herb straight in?

Curious to hear more stories... keep em coming.

i think it might be theyre for medical users with legal prescription
- Germany made medicinal cannabis legal last week or two -
and they talk about vaporizing medical tincture with alcohol on S&B medical website

i was wondering if anyones yet used mini liquid pads with capsule with concentrates
..all that conduction
(reducer - which is very heavy - and capsule has thermal mass)
must bump up the temp
im guessing thats what theyre really for

i could easily have missed clues that point to diff answer

While I applaud the enthusiasm expressed in recent reviews, I disagree with claims of Plenty superiority. Know it can be tempting to fall in love with a new vaping experience, whether that experience be a mod or a new vape, (it's a bit of both in Plenty with reducer) and that love can be blinding.
A wise FC member reminded us once that vapes use physics not magic. Ironically, her FC name is @Enchantre

That said, this Kool-Aid ist vundabar. Let me pour you a capsule full.

Loaded up eight capsules this morning. Average herb net weight of 140mg.
Used three in Crafty and three in Plenty. Similar results.
More of a session experience like Crafty, with around 10-12 draws.
Tried more rapid, shorter duration inhales, but longer inhales still seem to work best for me.
Priming draws are needed, so take those flavor draws during warmup -- functional, tasty fun.

Can get capsules open pretty easily once I learned the technique.
I hold the bottom and pry off the top.
Left forefinger curls around and cradles, while left thumb tip pushes opposite side.
Use right thumbnail to pry lid. Right forefinger tip steadies lid during pry.

One out of eight capsules gave me extra trouble with opening.
@Vitolo came up with an ingenious bent paperclip tool to twist off lid.
Here's another option, but you need 1/2 inch inner diameter tubing.

@Buunymustard; You're gonna love it the most!:nod:
In terms of capacity of the capsules, I'd say up to .2g, it definitely fits into the Mighty/Crafty and the reducer as well. Oh btw, it also came with a small liqui-pad!!

Anyway to those out there who are considering and are looking for genuine insights;

I gotta say, the Plenty is the REAL DEAL, yeah OK, the dead man switch (DMS) can be a nuisance, but the end delivery is pure quality, the only thing I would say in all fairness, is that it really comes down to preference, insofar as does one like their vapor filtered, or not!
Get me right, I like a filtered vapor (now and again) but I find the taste of the herb can be somewhat diminished. But the Plenty delivers that smooth 'dry' vapor, that is just so yum yum!
Don't get me wrong, it certainly can be a throat irritator, but I kinda like that! :luv:

The main thing though is the kick, that thing has the capacity to kick you into the back end of the month - after next!:goon::rofl:

To any newbies' and this is ain't no diss - as I've been there, but once you get over the uniqueness of the Plenty and that (fucking annoying, but efficacious Analogue system) I gotta say the Plenty is in definitely the Big League - Near the fucking top, imho!!:rockon:

One other thing; I like is the loading ritual with Plenty, there's no need to be running all over the place filling up with water etc, just get that reducer out, load it up - then click the DMS and you're good to go, and the heat up time ain't that bad either!

Not saying;), just saying:) without saying:2c:,

:leaf: Peace
