Phase3 Vaporizers

Sounds promising. But I think if I'm gonna buy another torch/induction vape I'll wait and see what phase3 has cooking. Maybe I'll have to try some DIY antics to try what I'm thinking of. The closest I've seen since asking around is a guy who hit his screwball with no glass piece, just held the thing straight to his mouth. :o
I hope he used a glass bowl as the metal ones can get hot quickly.

So cool! But Please can we label our pictures? Can't we mandate people do that? thanks Mods
What do you mean by label our pictures? I’m happy to, I just don’t know what that means.
I think it's the glassblower's picture.

I think that would be possible if the pictures were hosted on the forum's server. At least some other forums that directly host the pictures are putting a watermark or label on them.
Yes sir, it’s the glassblowers photo in Colorado - he just sent it today and I’m too excited to share.
That is a very nice looking pipe. Congratulations.
Thanks man, I appreciate it!

Just asking what it is and where you can get it!

(JK i am not medicated yet today and very much on edge.)

It’s from Chase Adams, you can find him on Instagram and I’ve seen his stuff at Fusion Glass and a few other Colorado shops. I saw one of his Terplocks and just asked him on instagram. It’s a custom, which is often the case since most glassblowers seem to make everything in 10mm by default.

Thanks so much! That's true with the 10mm and glass guys. I just became friends with a blower in CO BC glass. Has the shop right in his house! That j hook up top is badass! Thanks for the lead!

Man I love meeting and getting to know glass makers. I think that is why any China glass is reduced to a trickle. And try to keep that to original designs produced in China. Instead of RBR copycats, etc.

Yeah, idk. I sure as hell don’t know how to bring new products to market or run a company. I’ve learned over the years that a lot of the things I like aren’t all that popular. The DV/TA/Tempest/Anvil stuff is not my favorite. I think I get the appeal, but it’s not really for me. But I can see that it sells.

desktop ball vapes have this reputation for being heavy hitters only for the heaviest users with the highest tolerance, but I don’t really see it that way at all. I don’t even consume all that much on a daily basis. For me the ZX provides the most purity with the greatest of ease and flexibility, and I feel like I have bought it for life. Like an appliance in the best way. Only thing to fail is coil and PID, which are easily replaceable. Yes you can say that about other ball vapes, but they are made of metal and less pure in terms of flavor. And forget qaroma, mine broke for no reason (karma I suppose). Should have just waited for ZX

Sadly I think the form factor of a PID and coil is what scares most people away, but it’s a big part of why I love it, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me at all. Either way Im glad you’re here and I really appreciate what you’ve done. If you disappeared today you’d already be a legend. But I really hope you don’t, and I think you deserve commercial success beyond providing elite gear for a small group of connoisseurs
I'm so close to breaking my rule and getting in on that pre-order. I've got FOMO for this thing here. Not DV'S! Your buy it for life analogy is justifying the price, and the fact that I can use PayPal justifies the risk.

Agree with this. Madheaters built their brand off accessories and now look at them. Shout out to PP for being the guy he is and handing them the framework for a smash hit with zero ego involved.

I think there was talk of zirconia Arizer stems so sort of along your line of thinking? I am still well and truly keen for this to become a reality as someone that absolutely loves their Solo 3
Im a big fan of that one myself. It shelved my Tinymight for awhile!

Another one for the toolbox!
When performed this way it's such a fast extraction, even with a few crumbs of herb it provides a potent sedative high.

The bowl cab get pretty hot to the touch when used this way though, so fair warning for anyone trying.

I've got a prototype ordered for a new bowl handle with more insulation to check out.

Howdy friend thanks so much for your interest,

Those samples are all coming in my big batch of new prototypes, but they haven't shown up just yet.
There were a few part thickness issues with some of the o-ring slots that I had to update,
but these test parts really should be shipping out this week to me.

These new parts would be available separately for sure but the ergonomic handles could likely get added to the bundle if the design works and is approved for a production run.

Coil caddies are for wireless use, mostly meant for bangers, but if this design is approved it would potentially allow for some future P3 designs.

Hope this helps a bit!

Note that new ZX preorders are going to ship with the new 3 position bowl as well, I need to update the website to reflect that as some people have asked about that.

The Big Batch of Prototypes has a bunch of new stuff for evaluation,

4 new conduction and hybrid butane / induction portables:
Whatever performs the best during testing will move forward.

These portables are the culmination of multiple years of research and development; as much as I love my pure convection, I’m super excited about testing these conduction centric heavy hitters and trying to create a budget friendly and interactive ritual and experience that will appeal to veterans and first timers alike.

Also a wireless heating station,
new ZX bowl handle,
ergonomic coil handle,
advanced 8MM cooling stem,
and maybe something else I’m forgetting.
If I pre-order now, I'd get the 3 position bowl? The $100 dollar one? I was going to order that as an extra but if I did pre-order a zx I'd have two of those bowls?

The upcoming ZX Plug & Play bundles come with the new 3 shelf bowl which will allow ~0.25g+ loads in the deepest screen position.

If you tend to prefer smaller doses I would definitely suggest the 14MM ZX for your usage style.

The ZX is specifically designed to replicate the quick "one hit snap" from combustion bong hits, but with a super pure and clean hot air extraction.

You can dial the temperature in so that you never taste an over roasted or burnt hit; it was very important that the ZX be capable of that.
This keeps the flavor punchy and fresh.

The ZX is the 8th/8.5 generation of my original ruby ball vape design, which started right here on this forum and in this same thread over 4 years ago.

One of the things I disliked about convection vaporizers is their reputation for needing a long inhalation to start producing vapor.
The ZX's smaller size bowl and body "concentrates" the heated air to deliver a dense, quick extraction without needing to inhale excessive hot air. This leads to smooth, efficient, tasty, and potent vapor.

Cheers Bill and thanks so much for your interest in my work!
You were the one who invented the ruby ball vape? For real?

I don't recommend the stand that comes with the plug n play kit. It is aluminum and lightweight. The stand falls over all the time. There are other stands on Etsy. I use my Cannabis Hardware hangar with the zx.

@Spy Car. I pre-ordered one of the ZXXL 's just to use with all of my 18mm stuff. The ZXXL bowl will be native 18mm. Basically if you are fan of 18mm or want more air flow or you may just want a bigger bowl that you can put more herb into. Those are all reasons for someone to purchase a ZXXL. Honestly though 14 mm is the most common size that you will see glass water pipes in. I would say most people will be fine with the ZX I can get choked out by the little bitty ZX. The ZX if you load it up all the way, will suffice for anyone. At this point for me, it's all about having different options available. Since the ZXXL was the first wireless design by Phase3, I chose not to wait around for a wireless ZX and just pulled the trigger on the ZXXL. @Spy Car if most of your glass is in 14mm then you probably wouldn't want to spend the money for a ZXXL just to use with 18mm bongs. I have a really bad case of VAS. And simply did not want to wait around for a wireless zx to be developed. Although if Ryan ever makes a wireless zx I will more than likely buy one. Hell I'm not going to lie, I want the whole damn lineup, LOL, the portable conduction device, and a wireless zx to boot. I hate to sound like a Phase3 fanboy here. When you run across a vape made by a vape enthusiast who puts all of his time and creativity and does all of his own research and development, there is something to be said for a boutique company like that. Phase3 products are well thought out designs that have been tried and tested by various people that Ryan sends them out to. Ryan is also a perfectionist so I buy from Phase 3 with confidence knowing that I'm getting a product made by a vape connoisseur who also appreciates the same things in a vape that I do (flavor & efficiency). Ryan is a perfectionist and would never knowingly release a product with design flaws. These are all reasons why I'm such a fan of the Phase3 products that Ryan produces. Sure you could go throw your money down on a pre=order ACE from Vapvana or a multitude of other vapes. My last comment is to say that when you place a pre-order with Phase3, have some patience. I placed a pre-order for the ZXXL back in July. I have been patiently waiting since then. I don't mind waiting. Because I know that when it arrives it will be a top notch device. Sure I could get a ball vape from any of the other companies. But I want craftsmanship, I want something made from medical grade material. I like the fact that the ZX was made in ceramic zirconia. I feel that ceramic zirconia is about the closest thing you can get to glass that will you give you the best flavor. I want something that's been through several design changes and has been fine tuned and all of the bugs worked out before I get it. Ryan is one of us, he is looking for all the same things in a vape that we are. Which is the whole reason that he created Phase3. And it is for all of these reasons why I never mind on waiting on something from Ryan.
Nice recommendation! I'm getting closer!🤣

@vapereyez I'm not trying to be pushy. But I do recommend that if you are considering one. That you get on the pre-order list. These are made in small batches will be gone as soon as released. ZXXL's are all spoken for already. But if Ryan receives enough interest he might consider making another run of them. Something to think about. Cheers.

@invertedisdead Is there a preorder going for the 16mm coil ZXL with the big-ass bowl that still somehow fits 14mm pipes? If not, where do you think that run fits in the year’s production schedule? It seemed like quite a few people were excited about this version, what I don’t know is how many units need to be sold for a successful preorder. Personally, I’d like to get this one done sooner than another version for 18mm or wireless. Because I’m a selfish bastard with selfish desires. So I’ll make a one-time offer, just for you. Let me run a full-court, high pressure sales campaign.

Dude, for real- I’m medically retired and have all the time to electronically harass FC members and past customers to preorder this bitch. I‘m prepared to burn my FC reputation and make people dread to see a dm from me, folks will see me coming but unable to avoid my pitch. I’ll be the ultra cute but low-key aggressive Girl Scout of ZXLs just to ensure that I get what I want. Meanwhile your hands are clean, your company’s reputation intact; I’m a rogue agent, just a crazy old man obsessed with a Phase3 product. Consider it, man. You’ve been doing the “Nice Guy, No Pressure“ method for ages, let’s shake things up in 2025! This is more of a “Fuck You, Just Buy This Kick-Ass Thing So I Can Get One Too” sales campaign. Because I don’t expect anything or ask for much in this world but I am fully prepared to burn it all down if I don’t get this device.

Let me know, bro!

@invertedisdead, Any thoughts on the portable concepts that you have been tinkering with? I've been thinking of all of the different ways to build something like that. I would think it may be a challenge to create something that performs any better than some of the one's already out in the market. But I'm sure you will come up with something.

Well I'm hoping the new quartz stuff is pretty compelling :D
Plus I've been vaping more concentrates recently so my minds been wandering that direction again.

Only one more week left in January. The ZXXL should be shipping out soon I would think.

Ceramics are stuck in customs right now, haven't been able to find out what the holdup is but I'm still waiting for clearance.

Sorry for the delays friends, been a bunch of random unexpected ones this go around, hoping things clear up for the rest of the year, as always I appreciate everyone's patience.

You were the one who invented the ruby ball vape? For real?

People get upset when I make claims about anything so I'll just say I've been vaping from gemstone filled ball vapes of my own designs, non stop, since 2019.

If I pre-order now, I'd get the 3 position bowl? The $100 dollar one? I was going to order that as an extra but if I did pre-order a zx I'd have two of those bowls?

The plug & play kit comes with one bowl, but it's the new 3 position bowl with a micro dose and macro dose shelf.

Ok. Im on the list!

Thanks for rocking with the Z-Tribe friend, I can't wait to get these vapes wrapped up and sent out and into some new hands.
Appreciate everyone supporting the vision!

I'd love a chance at a ZXXL. Or ZXL.

I'm planning on opening those back up for preorder after all my pending orders are shipped out!

What's crazy is that's the same reason I haven't released them yet

Not yet - I wanted to start preorders for the new ZXL early Jan. but I'm just way behind schedule with these ZXXL's and ZX/ZXBowls.
Even though it's probably a mistake on my behalf, I don't want to take any funds until my backlog is cleared out.

Regardless of these initial delays I'm optimistic about launching some cool new stuff this year, so thanks to everyone following along.

I'm hoping to pre-sell 50 of the ZXLs to do the project.
If I can't pull that off I'm gonna start making smoking accessories :spliff:

Going by all of the interest in this thread alone. I've got a good feeling that you will not have a problem getting rid of all of them. Maybe it's time to start making like 75 or 100 at a time. Seeing as how fast they go. But at the same time I do understand not wanting to your funds up for other project designs in the future. I know it all cost money even the research and development just to make the test samples.

That's how I used to order ZX's, but now shoppers have so many choices to pick from, there's less reason for me to buy as many of them.
Plus everything is still 100% direct to consumer - I've talked with retailers, but none have ever placed an order; I've also yet to be invited on any podcasts :D

Any interest in taking your handheld cooling knowledge and aiming it at ball vapes? Toss a 100% zirc ZX cooling rig out there and I'll take 2.

Yeah it's on the list for sure, I have some pretty radical new cooling designs in various materials I want to get out, every once in a while I consider dropping everything to focus on some of my cooling designs lol; but it's been a minute since I really checked pricing.
A few years ago I wanted to do a ceramic pipe for my Puffco Proxy, but the prices seemed pretty cost prohibitive at the time.
The material gets very expensive as the parts get larger.
Kind of like exotic wood prices in a pen-blank versus a table top.

I hope to see a second pre-order for the ZXXL once shipping has started.
Honestly, I can't wait for all these vapes to develop and to own them all.
I still love my ZX, but I also want to get new releases from Phase 3 in 2025. 🤟🏻

Thanks for rocking with the ZTEAM

I'm still wanting to do another iteration on the 100% conduction portable I was working on, I think it could have potential, but it needs another prototype or two to be made and tested. Right now the mass is too high and I don't like the heatup time. A larger torch could probably fix it but I was trying to limit this particular design to smaller butane lighters.

I’d imagine there will be no issue getting 50units committed for the new 16mm coil ZXL. Seems to be a ton of anticipation in this thread for sure. Maybe we can run some sort of FC poll to determine who will order? I will commit to one. So 1/50 so far!!

I do hope to launch those earlier this year if the demand holds, appreciate everyone supporting the vision!

Honestly, it’s probably for the best. Most podcasts do little to no research, they use a product for an hour or two, then make a snap judgment on whether it’s good or bad. And more often than not, they favor whatever they get for free. Most of them don’t even have clean bongs. I’ve only found one YouTube reviewer that I think gives honest opinions. In my experience, you need at least a week of real use before you can form a fair opinion or even make a worthwhile video about it.
