I want the update for the app that allows to choose temperatures under 365F !!! @Ojan_at_PAX

Noted and shared! A wider range isn't something I'm expecting in the near future, but I know that the team wants to hear that feedback for sure.

And open up that 5th temperature as a standard level.

Can you expand on that? Once a PAX 3 is paired with the app it'll enable the 5th temp setting. Once set to whatever temp you want, it can be cycled to just like the other 4 settings without having to launch the app (assuming it wasn't changed, or has a Dynamic Mode set).

Ahhh. Didn't thik to pair it with the app.

I don't really use the app. It was fun for the first couple days. The default temp setting are great and much easier to use.

Any chance we could get an auto shutoff after 8-12 minutes on default? Not sure on the best time, and the half pack would change things.

Also, for the concentrate chamber, is there a way to order additional ones?

Hey @Ojan_at_PAX - since you're here, can you tease us with any pax news?

Any tidbit would be appreciated!

"we're always working on new things!"

Sorry :)

@JCharles (apologies, cant find out how to add a quote in the edit field)

I feel ya on the app. Im the kind of person that will set it to what I like and then leave it for a long time. I'll share your suggestion for sure.

PAX 3 has an auto shut-off feature. It's triggered when the mouthpiece does not detect skin contact for a couple of minutes, so the device could be moving around and still shut off if a draw isn't taken. The Motion Standby feature, though, is triggered by the accelerometer. I'll suggest that this be customized through the app but I don't know how much traction it would get.

For the Insert - not at the moment but our support team will help with that so don't hesitate to reach out.

Hello,

can someone tell, if is it normal that a PAX3 gets a lot more hotter than a PAX2? It feels so hot that it is only comfortable to hold the device if it is touched above the funky LED X.

No, that doesn't sound normal. Unless your pounding back to back sessions at max. Get in touch with Pax.

Also are you sure it's not a knockoff?

The only time my Pax gets close to hot is through a water adapter and bubbler with lots of hits in a row.

Buy yourselves a Pax 3 Water Pipe Adapter from Delta3DStudios. It's awesome.

The herb of choice is a Quantum Kush from a Canadian LP. Tested at 26.34% THC

Hello,

I tested my PAX 3 with a friend who owns a PAX 2. Same loading, same temperature setting (level 3), same vape time. We both vape the material with short breaks and with mid-to-long inhaling. We hold the device the whole time in our hands and don't put it down.

I also had have a Davinci IQ and it gets also very very hot after some time. So I thought of a normal behaviour. Only the direct comparison with a PAX 2 makes me amazed, because the PAX 2 stays much more cooler.

Maybe the brushed surface of the PAX 2 is better for heating emission or it has a better oven isolation. But that I could not know, so I asked here.

So, someone here who can also do a direct side by side compare?

Do not misunderstand me. The PAX 3 gets hot.. very hot. But I can still hold it. It won't burn my skin. But it is much more hotter than a PAX 2.

edit: I'am using the pusher, because I often use very less material. Maybe I should try it next time with the half ofen lid.

I dont have a Pax 2 to test, sorry.

So let's do the next best thing and quantify it.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being, hand in a camping fire moving a log. And a 1 being room temperature, how hot does it get?

When I run my Pax 3 on a level 3 for an extended periods of time it's reaches a comfortable 6.5/10. Run at level 4, my Pax gets to an 7/10. So for me, it barely gets warmer than a Samsung S7 on fast charge (way to hot for a cell phone).

I would think the Pax 3 would run hotter than a 2. We can do concentrates, the oven heats faster, and maintains temp longer.

Do you use the app during your Pax sessions? Half pack or full pack lid to your oven? Did you add any kind of protective case/sleeve?

Maybe add an @Ojan_at_PAX to your post so it's seen.

Edit: didn't see your edit. That may have something to do with it. But if its a small amount the sessions must be brief, like a few minutes or do you take your time and roll that into a 10-20min sesh?

One of the magnets on my half pack lid fell out. I put in a support ticket on July 3 and still have not heard back from them as of the 20th. I sent a followup email a few days ago and still no reply.
@Ojan_at_PAX any help?

Absolutely, thanks for sharing your case number. I'll have the team connect with you today and I really appreciate your patience with us.

And heads up, they'll probably ask for a photo of the lid so we can pass it to our engineers. We definitely don't expect those magnets to fall out so they'll be interested in checking it out. If you want to take that and reply to your initial support confirmation email, before the team's reply today, then definitely do so. It'll add the photo to your support case directly :)

I received a reply as you said and emailed them a pic but never received a reply or the replacement part yet. I even replied back with my mailing address to try and speed the process up.

Thanks for circling back and I'm sorry for the continued wait! I'll touch base with the team and make sure they reach out to you today.

Anyone else take huge rips with their Pax 3 through water pipes?

I've noticed my Pax 3 seems to just turn off after a few big hits. I'm not sure if it's over heating (on the orange heat setting w/20-30s btw hits) or timing out.

If it's timing out and app update that would let us turn off that feature along with the cooldown would be awesome. Or is there something like that all ready I dont know about?

I have the WT adapter and have used it with my pinnacle pro hydrotube and it works well. I have a larger bong that I will have to try it with as wel. Keep your fingers on the rubber piece so it acts as "lip sense". Seems to work fine for me.

When will you guys release your next unit? Also will you guys ever be able to reduce the draw resistance? I've had a good run with my pax2 but my gums couldn't take it anymore so I went ahead and bought the pax 3 hoping there would be an easier draw but alas my gums are still feeling herniated.

Take sips not pulls. You can even leave your lips loose on the Pax and draw some fresh air in as well.

I find that with my draw the vapour is usually going towards the roof of my mouth. I tend to hold the unit at a 15 to 45 degree angle to my mouth.

If you want a bigger hit, I'd suggest a water pipe.

Has anyone else tried these stainless steel dry herb pods for the Pax?
They sent me an extra set that I'll be giving away later this month.

They're not bad! Definitely easier than reloading on the go. I wonder if a small aluminum non-lidded version would work better though...

Yeah I know but I like a nice easy full breath. Just going to stick to handheld convection action from now on. Tired of burnt popcorn anyway.

Hi, after a while of using, I think the temparature is ok. But it is significant hotter than a pax2. Maybe @Ojan_at_PAX can bring some light to the dark.
