While I assume Ojan is probably a pretty chill dude... pax support is absolute garbage. I would never ever purchase a Pax 3. Go for Davinci, FF, crap... even GHopper.
One of the reasons that it tastes off, or may be smelling funny --(see vape critic review on odd smell
https://www.vapecritic.com/pax-3-davinci-iq/) is silica mat fiber used in the insulation of the oven.
Yes... if any of you have any familiarity with insulation or refractory materials--that's basically fiberglass.
Some of the vape companies like pax will tell you. a. it's not fiberglass and b. it's fully sealed and not in the air path.
Newsflash- a. technically IT IS 'glass' fiber insulation. b. unless pax has some serious chemical engineering gear on hand- they don't have anything near 'sealed' devices, and it doesn't need to be in the air path to be inhaled.
TLDR. That bad smell, in part can be due to a number of chemicals that off-gas over time from the insulation binder material or the silicone adhesive used in the kapton tape that secures it around the oven.
PAX> Engineered in USA but mAde in China. No MSDS for your review. What's in your vape?
