Almost done reading the whole Pax2 thread and I just received shipping notification for my Black Pax2!!!

I don't really care for the games or flashy lights, just hoping for a solid portable with decent battery life and good flavor
From what I have read so far, all things are pointing in the right direction!
Congrats! You'll love it, just tried it last night and it was great. Tbh, I hate the gimmicky features, like the lights and the games, I think they just take away from the purpose of the device, and to me it makes it feel less professional of a product. But in the end, it is a great vape. I would suggest buying the pax 2 pusher if you have the money, then you don't have to use 0.4 grams every time.

Hey guys, I plan on buying a pax 2, and I have a dhgate d020-d bubbler. The only way that I found (from my searching) to connect the two, is to use newvape's 14/18mm male adapter. Is there another way? Also, has anyone used that adapter?
@Ratchett is perfecting his adapter now. It's silicone (SonG). If you look back a page or two I posted a few pictures. There are some beta-models that he cast and mine works really well.

It fits all of the joints on my glass, from a weird 12.4mm up to 19mm.

I went into a local authorized Pax dealer today to see and hold the Pax 2 for myself and it looked great. However, I noticed that on the underside of the oven lid, on the ends, there is a non airtight hairline space where the two parts of the oven lid are not snuggly assembled together. This space is wide enough to see into the oven with a light if I look closley.

Do other people see this and could this be cause for concern in terms of odor or gunk getting in there, since it is too slim be cleaned? I mean, you could slip a piece of paper in the crack but that would be it. Perhaps this particular oven lid just slipped past quality control?

I'm not clear on where this space is. Do you mean there is a space between two pieces of the oven lid, or that there is a space around the edge of the lid when it is on the Pax 2? The latter is essential, since that is the intake air path.

Perfecting? Call it DONE! Pulled the cast on my second prototype adapter for the Pax2 and it looks perfect.

My design is so perfect, the flared mouthpiece fits snugly into the mold I made!

I'm going to start casting several to confirm the fit, and I'll make an official announcement when my adapter is ready for sale - hopefully I'll have it posted within the week.

Now it's time to get my ass back to work! I have to print another few molds so I can make 3 or 4 at a time!! (I was considering taking preorders, but I don't believe in holding one's money for goods I can't ship right away - the stress get's to me)

I'll be sure to post a link to my store listing as soon as I'm ready to start shipping these adapters.

Awesome news! Looking forward to placing an order for it.

Just spoke to Pax and they said that you should charge the battery to full and let it completely discharge three times to calibrate the battery meter properly (not to condition the battery). After that your battery is good to go and can be left on the charger or recharged after a partial charge. The Pax 2 battery does not suffer from memory issues.

We aim to take care of this step during manufacturing. A select few may need more conditioning once shipped, but for the vast majority it's already calibrated.

Definitely feel free to fully charge and discharge, but don't consider it necessary!

I personally used my unit right out of the box, drained, then fully charged. I have had no issues with battery life

This is exactly what I did. Never conditioned, and now I'm getting 5+ ovens out of each charge consistently. My ovens are typically .25-.3g's medium fine grind (not quite mflb finishing) and packed down with my finger (so not SUPER tight).

I am simply amazed at this thing. I pack a tight bowl, like really tight with a fine/med grind. Probably a good .4. Heat setting 1 for 2 sessions of 3-4 hits. Then to heat setting 3 for another 2-3 sessions. When I am not getting any more vapor, I dump the 'puck' and flip it over, easily get another 2 sessions out of it.

Battery life is amazing. It doesn't smell any more than my Ascent does.

I don't get the games or modes, I have no idea what they do. I spin it a few times, I see the lights change and I'm like, now what? I do wish they had some type of explanation for these different modes.

All of the Party Modes will disable the 30 second motion standby - that's about it for functionality. The rest is just our engineers having a bit of fun :)

This might take the fun out of things, but I would love for someone to post a guide to the additional modes. Like how to activate party mode and what are the results of that, how to activate Simon and how to play it, so on.

A quick google search will lead you to a vaporizer reviewers webpage which explains the modes and shows you how to get to them. I would find it but I'm short on time.

. At what level do you start to get 5+ ovens?

Hello all. Months long lurker ready to join the conversation.

The Pax 2 is awesome. I've been using the original Pax for some time and virtually every aspect is improved including the mouthpiece, charger, oven lid, size, changing heat settings. I haven't tried too many other vapes but from what I've seen nothing comes close to the P2 for stealth and ease of use. Load it up with a day's worth and it's just good to go. I'm sure there may be vapes that can improve performance in some way or another but the P2 is used like a high-end consumer product as opposed to a science experiment. (No offense intended.) While I can't say that the size of the clouds are always great I can say that it is enormously effective. I don't know why, but I find it works in that regard much better than the original.

Here are my thoughts on getting the most out of it. I'm sure you've heard it from others.

- Fine grind is important
- I find a balance between packing it fairly tight while leaving enough air to keep good flow is important.
- A stir every few series of pulls is very helpful. For me, I try not to pack it down too tight after stirring. As the flower compresses it reduces draw flow.

And now for my ask for reps from Pax and aftermarket vendors who contribute to FC... As good as the P2 - and P1 - are the simple fact is that there's nothing like the taste of the first draw or two. I would love to see someone make a one-hitter oven lid designed to vape a pinch of material in one or two hits. Some design thoughts...

- A shallow metal trough in the lid to put a pinch in. Metal helps heat it all quickly.
- The lid should operate as a handle/stand so you can pull it out (due to the depth required tilting it for removable may not work as well) and stand it up to put a pinch in.

Imagine being able to use the P2 in a way where every pull is as good as the first! I think this would be a much easier to use and more elegant solution worthy of such a fine instrument than a curled up screen.

Thanks to all for a great informative, friendly site and to Pax for making a product that has improved my life while making me seem slightly cooler than i actually am. ;)

Theres a product called the Pax pusher that was talked about on in this thread. If you go back a few pages I'm sure you'll find it. There's also reviews about it.

I bought the pusher and their version of the screen and did not find they worked well for me. It is also a less elegant solution than what I'm hoping someone smarter than I can create. Or, maybe, without enough material you just can't get that one beauty hit that I'm looking for

I don't need the P2 to be mini, just have an extra oven lid that allows you to do one beautiful hit at a time. If it's built in the right way it could be easy to fill, easy to remove, easy to tap out. Repeat.
Did you try using the pusher without their bottom screen?

Yes. It's fine but not as tasty and full as I was hoping for. And there's another piece to deal with. I also found it made draw more restricted. I'm not against the product, I just can envision a more elegant solution that could work better and be easier to work with if designed for the purpose.

Maybe instead of making it a solid piece of metal (which is how it is and makes it stay hotter for longer), they can fabricate it to look like the old pax screen which has tiny holes in it and is thin enough to not get too hot but is just there to hold the cannabis down. All while retaining the ability to adjust it to the amount of cannabis you have, maybe with like a spring that gets pushed down when you put the oven lid on. HIGHDEA.
