If it's going to be bigger, might I humbly suggest 2 bearings in a thicker lid with a sufficiently lengthened post? It'll get rid of a lot of the rocking play from the single bearing setup.
That is actually exactly how its been designed!

I need to prototype if the 2 bearings work well or i go to a single larger bearing. I guess i will work it out when i make the first metal prototype.

Awesome! Very much looking forward to it! I played around with the current grinder and machined a 22mm OD sleeve to fit two 10x15x3 bearings in the lid, and another 10mm OD sleeve to fit over the post. A single bearing showed similar rocking to the stock, but 2 bearings completely got rid of it. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out an easy way to securely mount the sleeve on the post so I'm back to stock.

Very much looking forward to the XL. Can't wait to feel how heavy the lid will be with all that extra mass!

My buddy received two Aroma-3 grinders. He also ordered the ceramic ball bearings from Aliexpress that were recommended here and worked perfectly for me. Interestingly, both ordered ball bearings do not sit properly in both grinders and can be pushed out with light pressure on the lid.

Do you have any idea how to fix the ball bearings? Preferably so that they can be removed again (Ben's tool is available). For example, a layer of tape around the ball bearing to make it a little thicker? Or are there any other recommended ball bearings?

It's almost wierd to see his stuff in stock and ready to ship instead of having to wait weeks/months. I'm glad those days are over.
Yeah, and it feels great

I don't want to turn this into a "versus" post, but at first I ordered a different grinder, but after 12 weeks of waiting, there was still no shipping date, so I canceled my order (they refunded my order within a day, so kudos to them for being so kind).

Placed an order for the omd, and got a shipping notification the same day. Super happy!

Yeah and to be fair there has been wait times here as well, so it is all depending on the timing of course, consistently OMD has been reliable though and recently so quick!
