Milaana 2 arrived today and hits like a champ. Finished a bowl in two hits with a LG HG2.

Is your guitar pick on the wrong side of the copper circuit connector?

Do you count a full basket screen as a bowl? Cuz 2 hits means you are taking unreal long pulls that I dont think I could do. And modulating the whole time to not combust. I dont think the battery is gonna matter much assuming it's one that meets specs. That is a damn pretty walnut unit.

I've never owned a Milaana so I moved the pick to the top assuming that was what you did when you wanted to use it. How is that little pick business supposed to work?

I've been taking about four hits to finish a basket since that first use but I do take long draws pretty routinely. I haven't had to get on and off the button at all and I'm really happy with the even extraction using whatever draw technique I've arrived at with my stable of Splinters.

Also the LG HG2 cells have been pleasantly hot and fast in all my Splinters. I was keenly aware of differences in performance with my old Lil Bud paired with different 18650s and I do think it it matters, especially with unregulated vapes.

You keep the pick between the cell and the contact plate, and you swing it out of the way to use. The idea is to make sure that no current can flow accidentally. There was at least one incident reported here where the button was somehow depressed when not in use, resulting in overheating and scorching the wood (but no fire).

On the other hand, if you don't carry the Milaana in your pocket or bag, or store it in a way that can result in accidental button depression, then you can remove the pick completely. That is what I do.

Thanks for this info. I'll only be using it at home. Can I leave the brass contact in position for an evening of use as long as it's a coffee table vape and at no risk of having the button pressed by accident? I wasn't sure if there was some risk to even having the 18650 sitting there with nothing blocking the contacts.

Here's a question for members with a Splinter Z and a Milaana, if I was running my Z in wattage at say 40w, would that be comparable to a Milaana? The Milaana heats up quicker, correct? Just trying to imagine what wattage it would be similar to roughly.

Pakolo corrected me recently to remind me that the Milaana is the Splinter sized heater and the Zion was the Z heater analog.

From my very limited use the Milaana 2 hits like a Splinter V2 at 36W or a Z at 46W maybe. Like pretty close to the high end of what you'd select in wattage for rapid extraction. What pleases me is that I don't have to be super concerned with hot spots or scorching despite it being unregulated.

Yeah thanks for getting me back on mine, such a delight to use. I'm on the LG HE4 right now (the original Milaanas battery before we got on HG2s for more bowls/hits and a little power oomph--due to a couple fewer amps perhaps?)

I'm using the new 19/22 lamart stems that fit well, thanks to my Mi2 having a nice deep joint (they don't fit my custom Z's as well unfortunately). I think the spiked shorty bent stem is pretty phenomenal, but the nub is actually a real killer with the Milaana...

Looks awesome! I was just looking at lamart stems, will these stems fit the milaana 3?

Absolutely no way to know, there is a decent chance they won't fit, but like I said you never know! Way too much variance in the glass

I didn't know the Sapele would look that good, now I'm even more excited! Thanks for the pics.

I continue to be impressed by the performance of this thing

Great to be seeing some good old fashioned rbt love! The Mi 2 is stud, plain and simple. I don't use my on demand convection vapes with their OG stems anymore (trying to care for my lungs a little more these days by using them through h2o or an atty for diffusion) but my Mi 2 is always within reach. I didn't ante up for the 3 because quite frankly I don't see how it could replace my 2. But I confess I'm thinking hard about another 2 for posterity.

@VGOODIEZ picked me out a stunner, check out his store for other stuff if you haven't yet!

Yeah I never really used Milaana through water except for when I was testing... Always found Zion better for that with the steady regulated power... Splinters can do it too, my Canarywood Z I pretty much just use as a waterpiece...

here I am snoozin on the Mi threads, I may have had something to offer in the way of advice. instead it was all rapid fire catching up, and realizing everything I'd have said... had already been said..

Has anyone that ordered a Milaana2 in Canada recently recieved their order? Tracking my package it seems it has been stuck in customs for over a week now. I havnt been notified of any customs issues or problems - it just kind of stopped any movement once it passed its final departure to Canada.

Just wondering how long I could be waiting... something tells me its sitting in a warehouse waiting to be inspected by a border agent in Canada. I've just never had to wait this long for a US order, but maybe I've just been lucky in the past.

Just bad luck, they usually don't get stuck but I've had packages sit for a bit. My Mi2 is in my city but won't be delivered until tomorrow according to tracking. Mine was shipped on Feb. 18.

Thanks for the reply! Mine actually shipped on the exact same day, so I guess it is just bad luck. Hope it starts moving again soon!

Cheers!

Their shipping routes can be strange as well because I had batteries ship from 18650batterystore.com (on the same day with the same shipping method) which is farther east and they were delivered on Tuesday. At least its not China Post, I've had packages take 3 months with them.

I can't wait to give my Milaana a go. I have a bunch of Molicel 26A's ready to go!

True! There are a lot of variables at play for sure due to different routes or shipping method. I noticed my package also back tracked at one point, so it might just be a bit delayed in general.
