damn, lwien...you actually bought another vape while your log is still working? start off with some really small loads...I want you to be able to find your way back!
$161 out the door including the WPA and Fed Ex overnight, but that was using the gobble33 discount code that was only in affect on Black Friday. Kinda of long story in that I input that code to see what the price was, but then held off for a few days because of something that Sticks mentioned. According to VW, 7th Floor products where not suppose to be included in that discount, but the IT guys failed to include the LSV in that exclusion, so they honored that for me being that I inputed it on Black Friday, but held off the purchase waiting to hear a response from them on a price inquiry over the Thanksgiving weekend. I wouldn't expect a repeat on this though. The circumstances were a bit special.
Good deal. Looks like we both got a great vape at a great price. VapeWorld really is a great company to do business with.
Edit: Oh, one more thing. Make sure that you tell them what length you want in the WPA as well as make sure that you get one of the newer LSV's with the strain relief. Sticks received one without it and when I talked with Ellen, she said that they have a few of the older ones in stock and it's not designated on the box which ones have it and which ones don't so she had to send special packing instructions to the warehouse. Just a heads up..........
You guys got a better deal than me.
I was impatient and ordered it through VapeWorld's website over the weekend, got it yesterday. I paid $179 for the LSV and the 19mm WPA using the gobble33 code. They actually sent me 2 WPA's but both of them are the taller kind...one is maybe a cm shorter than the other.
So far I'm pretty happy with the LSV. Using the transfer wand I have been able to get some great rips. I'm not as impressed with the WPA...I actually found it pretty hard to get decent vapor through it. I tried sucking slower and faster and I can manage to get a few visible clouds if I really work at it but its nothing like the clouds I get through the transfer wand. Fortunately the mouthpiece on my transfer wand fits perfectly into a 19mm female gong downstem so I can still vape through water.
Thanks for contacting 7th Floor. I will provide you instructions on how to keep the heater element in place, but keep in mind, you could pull or cross wires which would render the unit broken and you would have to send it to us for repairs. It sounds like you need to keep the heater element in place and this could fix all your problems. Pull the heating element up gently and hold the cap and shim down, to prevent the cap and shim from being pulled out. On the side of the heating element, close to the bottom as it is coming out of the cap, you will see the letters "STD-". Pull the heating element out til you see the dash and then slightly twist. Slightly twist. This should hold the heating element in place.
Do you have the shim that came with the unit? I can send you another for just the cost of shipping, about $6 - $7.
If you would like to send it in for repairs, please call me during business hours, Monday thru Friday, 8am - 5pm MST.
Thanks,
Chris

I wanted to say my LSV died after just a few weeks but I know why.
I have a friend that had the habit of resting it "standing up" on the couch (holding it in one hand), which of course bends the wire at a 90 degree angle. I always wanted to tell him not to do that but it died before I did (I was kind of telling myself that's not really going to break it).
Yesterday it was at the point where the wire had to be be in exactly the right position for contact to be made, making it unusable.
Before you think "I'm ok, mine has the strain relief", mine DOES have the strain relief, the only difference is that it makes it fail by breaking the connection inside rather than sawing through the cable which can lead to a short ("explosion"). In other words, the strain relief will only slightly delay the failure, and make it more likely to be a "non-violent" failure.
So if you or your friends have the habit of holding it standing up resting against the wire, stop immediately, it really can't handle that kind of stress on the wire for very long before it breaks.
Rather than send it back and be without it for a month, I opened it, cut out the broken part of the wire and soldered them back, I temporarily used electrical tape but as soon as I can go to the electronic store I'm buying heat shrink tubing and re doing the connections with that rather than electrical tape, I don't trust electrical tape in there at all (due to how crammed the connections are, the torsion of screwing it back, and the heat when operating).
Just wanted to let you know because if this happens to someone that doesn't know how to repair electrical connections or doesn't want to void their warranty it would suck to be without it for weeks.
If I go past the 2 o'clock mark on mine through the short WPA, my product will combust. I like my greens extremely dry so that may have something to do with it. I usually keep mine between the 11 and 12 o'clock marks until I get toward the end of a load. I bump up to 1 o'clock to finish and everything comes out very dark.
lwien-
The PD sized bowl in the transfer wand , wont approach combustion, because you have removed the factor of restricted draw from a larger load~
