Inductor - Desktop Induction Heater by Camouflet

What's the setup in the bottom left? Looks like you still need an Convector XL :D
It's a dab caddy I bought from a CBD / Headshop. I use it to keep my Vapvana Scoop for the Injector and some glass adaptors, as well as the Camouflet Banger. The XL I intend to purchase at a later date.

After much experimenting, I’d like to share my Inductor/Tornado settings.

First, this IS NOT THE ANVIL THERMOCORE LOL. The tornado heats up super fast, and continues to store this heat. I had way too many combustions at even the lowest setting waiting for a click (no fault of the fabulous Inductor BTW), before I just started counting. I got close waiting for a click, but normally it was super dark or combusted.

For results that almost match the forge (when it could be used ) here’s my method.

Power on mine is set to 21.0. I heat the atomizer for the 3 seconds, stop. Directly move heater head to the upper section of the oven and heat for another 7-8 seconds, stop. You should hear back to back clicks within a couple seconds after. This will give me two nice pulls. If I didn’t count well enough and it cools before I get a full second pull, I heat the upper section again for 2 seconds.

Thanks for this, can't wait to try it out.

I'm sure this has probably been asked several times, so apologies in advance, but is there any plans to offer the inductor in different wood varieties?

I assume this gets far too hot for Vapman materials?
No good with vapman, to far from center, takes too long to heat...

I don't think so, VM has different material for the pan? so must be used with their station...

Just to add, the first time I tried it I smelled wood and stopped immediately. Freaked me out enough to skip it from there until I saw someone explain that it should be very short bursts while drawing. I tried it and it worked better (with the new core) but I haven't messed with it much since. Some folks seem successful enough to mostly use it with the Inductor, so take me with a grain of salt. I think if you get it down it's plenty of fun, just don't burn down your Lotus getting there.

Good to know! I figured with the materials it wouldn't be a good idea and with the distance.

Now, I wish there was a way to use it with the terpcicle.....Trying to think of all the devices I have....lol

Yeah I had a fantasy about being able to use it with my hot knot diamond skillet quartz bangers, which are what I like to use most frequently now, like if there was a metal sheath to put over them, so you could then heat it with the inductor and heat them up, remove the sheath for the dab...? Would need some proper tools and station though for the hot items hmm (still need to try the official banger bucket with mine though)

Feel like I’m winnin’ when I’m losin’ again
I bet the lads at Camouflet could design a metal bucket that fits over the Fcore, then you would have a hot pocket to heat up non-ferrous items?

I’d be interested in the inductor tech if it weren’t so bulky.

Any plans on creating a battery-powered portable version?
If you are able to change the laws of physics, then a portable battery powered version should be no problem

I ordered the Inductor during the most recent sale and added the Zooter & Convector XL. I was super excited to try this device when I got it.

Unfortunately, after plugging it all in and getting ready to test it everything appeared to be working, but the moment I pressed the button and applied it to the Convector there was a high pitched noise and then the button on the Lighter Head went out and it started to smell of burning electronics.

I emailed Camouflet and after some testing they confirmed the Lighter Head has probably shorted out. The part that is disappointing is they aren't offering a replacement part and having me ship mine back in, they are requiring that I send in my broken Lighter Head first and they will refurbish the unit and send it back after repaired. This is a little disappointing to me as they claim they aren't able to exchange as some users took advantage, which is understandable but now I have a non functional device and will be on their timeline to get it up and going again. If I was apart of the beta this would be a whole different story and I would understand the lack of QC, but as I thought I was buying a finished product I'm frustrated.

When asked what would happen if the device shorted out again after the 30 day Warranty they said "If used properly and adhering to usage instructions, the Lighter Head will function fine for a longtime." But I know of at least on other user that had a unit short out after the 30 day period. Luckily they were willing to replace his unit for the price of shipping, but still seems like that would be a manufacturing issue and not fall under normal wear and tear.
