Honestly, I would quit if I had to start combusting again. I don't like anything about it anymore, and it makes me paranoid. :uhoh:

Is dabbing considered combustion? I would think it's more vaporizing since the concentrate vaporizes when hitting the nail?

bassplayer: Depends on how hot you heat the nail. When it's too hot, pyrolysis occurs even if you don't see any flame. Combustion doesn't have to light a cherry or show flames.

I'm a 97% vapoholic - but every now and then I really enjoy twisting up a joint, grabbing a beer and sitting out on the deck once the kids are asleep. Just me and my wife straight Cheech and Chong style...

Except for the part when she yells at me for leaving my beer bottle outside - cheech would have never yelled at chong for that lol

I combust only on friday and saturday because its easier to combust socially. Waiting for a portable party vape to come out lol then i will truly fuck combustion

I've just recently gone combustion free in the last couple of months. Before then, I would allow myself to smoke with friends who were too old school for the vaporizers I brought out. I would also still enjoy the occasional cigar and pipe.

One day I had some throat issues after smoking one of my cigars. Everything checked out ok, but it made me think of my grandfather who I watched die of throat cancer. Last time I touched a smoke and am all about the vape now.

Almost 2 years vape only medicating!! I will go without if my only option is combusting. Wish I could just stop smoking filtered cigars(Cheyenne brand, vanilla flavor). I would love to try Quittting using e-cigs, but where to start. There are so many options that it is hard to know what to buy. I only want to use them to quit my nicotine addiction.

I am Almost completely Combustion Free... however I do keep one 3-tree 3-chamber beaker bong in my bedroom for when non vaporizing friends come by, and I will roll the occasional joint or blunt when taking a road trip...

Today is my first anniversary!!!

I can't stretch enough how much better I feel since I stopped smoking.
I maybe have to add that in Germany we have the disgusting habit of mixing our weed with tobacco before smoking. I never smoked cigarettes in my life, not even as a rebellious teenager, but I was able of smoking a half-cigarette-mix with one bong draw.
After 13 years the first bad side effects started showing: short breathe, yellow nails/teeth and my lung felt "full". Last two months of my smoking my lung hurt really bad after every bong hit.
Then one day I got to a good friend/dealer of mine and he got himself something new for his birthday:
a Storz & Bickel Volcano.
I knew that vaporizers existed, but the one time I tried it, it tasted kinda like licking raw spinach (it was really cheap product).
And then along came the Volcano.
"So wait a minute, instead of ashes I get stuff that I can turn into butter or concentrate, no active components get lost/burned, my room doesn't need to be aerated every hour, it hardly effects my lung and it tastes THAT good?"
I immediately turned from Saulus to Paulus.
1 day later I got myself a VG, cause the Cano is a pricey motherfucker.
But after 6 days I got my Cano by installments (payed 6 Month for it - totally worth it!!!).
Other friends laughed about me when they heard the price.
I don't know what a chemotherapy costs, but I'm sure it won't be much pricier and I was heading straight towards one.
Since then I coughed up a lot of black stuff and one year later my lung feels absolutely free, my shape is as good as it hasn't been for the last 13 years and I'm way more active.
Plus I think I consume less than when I was smoking, but I'm way longer medicated. These days I have normally 2 sessions with 0.5 g each time, back when I was smoking I hit at least 5 bowls of weed-tobacco-mix a day and after each one it took 30 minutes or so before I craved the next one.
Now I'm at the stage when I cry on the inside every time I see a joint being rolled with really nice weed (WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU BURN THIS GIFT OF GOD? And with what you're gonna bake cookies now?).
I can tell you all with wholeheartedness :

I WILL NEVER SMOKE ANYTHING AGAIN - under no circumstances!!!

Well that's my story.
Thanks so much for reading

and

HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE TO ALL [and/or apocalypse]

I'm old and I smoked (never with tobacco!) for more than 35 years until I got a little ceramic element digital vaporizer in May 2005.
It's a health judgement call I make now and if I had known about vapour, I would never have smoked - would far prefer to vaporise, but will eat or maybe and very rarely smoke.

my DBV helped me quit smoking cigs and i wasnt even trying to quit at the time. i got my DBV after stumbling upon this forum and doing some research. anyway, i had the DBV for a couple of days when i came down with a nasty cold. i often would stop smoking cigs (not herb) short term when sick. so i was sick for almost two weeks with this cold. wasnt smoking cigs and was using my new DBV. when i got over the cold i could not believe how nasty cigs tasted! it was incredible how different it was after only 2 weeks. that was it for me. i stopped smoking everything at that point.

now dont get me wrong... if im out and someone sparks up i wont be passing. it still tastes like shit, but the high is a nice change every once in a while.

I very rarely burn herb anymore, not against it... just don't really enjoy it anymore. I Never get cravings to combust on my own but once in a while i'll take a couple hits w/ my brother... but even then i usually pass on it. I get it that some desire the effects it gives or the convenience but i personally don't. If i cant vape I'd rather wait. When traveling locally w/ my Iolite or MFLB+2 batteries and a .6, there shouldn't be much waiting going on ha.

I would only combust if i literally couldn't vape - Last time that happened was when i was in LA on holiday - It annoyed me having exceptional bud far better then back home but not being able to vape it!

^^^ Ya, its such a shame to burn some good herb.. it does no justice to the time and effort that went into the growing and curing, so it could be the kind of quality that's worth appreciating in the first place. burning it mostly defeats that purpose. you gotta do what you gotta do though.. these days i'd probably try n make some gilligan's island vape first though ;)...

(Same doobie my avatar has in mouth )~

That is the last doobie I rolled ... ever. I rolled it in Nov. 2010.
It is almost unfathomable that I could be... without a vaporizer, even hospitalized, I manage...
BUT... I know beyond a doubt, that I would not, even with no vaporizer, combust.
There are at my fingertips so many ways to keep my blood flowing with THC, that I will stay a combustion-fucker to the end!

i think for significant/ceremonial times i would be willing(but not obligated) to roll up some herb and combust.. it's a natural feeling ancient ritual that i always enjoyed.. from hand grinding the herb to hand rolling to burning..

I am new to vaping and as the name says I smoke cigars. That being said I don't inhale. I will still burn with my friends but since I have introduced Da Budda to my group three of my friends have bought vaporizers. I don't personally roll joints anymore. Have vaporizer will travel. I never mixed tobacco with weed. Vaping is the way to go and I have been burning weed for over 40 years, not anymore..................
