It's eight months now since I've stopped combustion. After increasing my consumption, I'm in a new phase since I've got my on-demand convection vapes (P80 and TM). These devices are so powerful... I'm growing weed since this winter too, and my weed is really better and far stronger than dealer's stuff.

Adding these two facts, my consumption have decreased much more than I ever thought possible. I'm now vaping something like 0.1g/day, sometimes less. I only fill the bottom of a basket screen with weed, half a basket is a big hit, a full basket is just too much, especially before bedtime, it makes my heart bolting, and it's not a sensation I'm actually enjoying.

Was planning to grow twice a year, but once will be more than enough for my missus and I. She's still smoking though, she's a real tobacco-addict, but while I used to be the big weed consumer, she's now consuming more than me.

my daily driver is a solo2 — but every once in a blue moon, my buddy from okla will make some hash available to me.
when he does i get to enjoy a few hits out of my bubbler. this happens maybe 6 time a year. oh and of course, i generally won’t back away from a fattie being passed either.
i can’t handle any more than that as i am now a confirmed combustion lightweight. 98% vape.

A few days ago, I pulled out the bong; I couldn't even get one hit. Smoke tastes like shit.

I've never liked smoking. Having the neighbours complain about the smell, was a fortunate incident. It forced me to find an alternative. Vaping shatter/wax did nothing for me. Dry herb vaping on the other hand has changed my life. No more couch-lock.

TM2 PH and Tiodw Plus 2.0 cured my VAS
While I'll probably never turn down a smoke, I pretty much never get out any of my combustion pieces anymore, my two vapes share 99% of my use. There are a couple pieces I wish I could use more regularly, but both the inefficiency and harshness of smoking is such a huge turnoff.

I did miss the ritual of rolling a joint for a couple of years but that is now also long gone.
I vape oil in an old Hercules vaporiser, the only vape I ever found really works with concentrates. Dabbing is great but it gets me so baked I can't do it that often. I now have a DiTanium which allows me to dab concentrate and/or vape weed. As with most of you I also have a box full of various vapes I have collected over the years but these are the ones I use on a daily basis.

I had completely fucked combustion for 1 year and 8 months with an E-Nano and an Arizer Solo 2 until Saturday. I had this sort of tense feeling, and from out of nowhere the urge to roll and smoke a joint appeared. I did just that, and I was immediately hit with a burning throat, a disgusting taste in my mouth and a really weird high feeling -I normally get very talkative and motivated by vaporized flower but this made me feel glued to the lawnchair I smoked in and talking felt too hard. I realized exactly why I hate smoking. Everything smelled too and I ended up tossing the joint because the rest of the weed smelled like smoke and didn't taste good vaped. Ended up cleaning out my bongs cause I vaporized a small bit of the flower from the joint and they smelled like smoke.

I don't plan to smoke again.
I love vaping & the flavor of CANNABIS is appreciated!
Mostly paper joint’s back in da last century? (Cultural)
The NANO was my first LOG device & became addicted 2-flavor!
Most of da tribe smoke paper joint’s?
VAPORIZING is more CIVILIZED is my POV!
I still use a old SOLO with a new battery pack.
My next SOLO WILL BE DA ONE CURRENTLY OFFERED!
I need my old unit 2-die? (Glass GonG’s R da kine)

Fucking combustion completely for 7 years. Mostly been dabbing/vaping homemade BHO that entire time. Tobacco free for 12 years.

I was never a heavy smoker (half pack a day) but I still can't believe I ever smoked at all really.

And I laugh when I think about how bonghits were the gold standard for consumption for me for years.

Dab, vape, edibles, only please. Thanks.

Sorry to vent however I tried 2-smoke on the way home from high school!
Could not handle them?
Zigzag MARIJUANA joint’s of backyard COLAS were easier r 2-handle!
Vaporizer’s improved the CANNABIS consumption the level of NIRVANA!

I never combusted tobacco, and haven't combusted cannabis in many years, except for a few times. Now I'm fucking vaping.

Recently I bought a good vape, thinking it would be healthy. But after a couple months of moderate vaping, I developed a slight but regular cough. I've never had a cough before.

I'm a runner and climber, and any cough or diminishment of my lung capcity is unacceptable. So -- no smoke in my lungs at all!

Tinctures and edibles, here I come.

Think about the science....you are heating a Oily/Waxy substance to the point of vaporization, inhaling that vapor into your lungs where it Cools and Solidifies. Sticking to the bronchials and alveoli. Clogging the airways...Not nearly as bad as Combustion, but, still contributing to your now cough. Also No Combustion produced chemicals.
I gaveup Combustion about 5+ years ago. Cant breathe as it is, cant imagine how bad it would be had I continued to combust.

None of the above. Never combusted. never partook until heavily researched medical application and safety, and landed a prescription.

There is zero evidence of vapor condensate clogging airways, as far as I have found. many reports of usage actually improving lung function due to expectorant and anti inflammatory effects. Pure Cannabinoids do not collect and build up, unlike combustion byproducts (tars). They do not cause lipid pneumonia in the way vitamin e acetate or mct oil will. They seem to be fully absorbed by tissues in time, similar to sublingual or transdermal absorption.

These are the results of my research but I don't have current links to provide, everyone should take responsibility for making informed decisions here.

Anecdotally; when I have suffered from respiratory infections, usage significantly soothed my discomfort, and shortened my symptoms in comparison to others. YMMV

If tinctures and edibles alone work for you, great. It might be the healthiest option (but remember it will affect you for longer).

If you feel like you still want to use a vaporizer sometimes though, remember that not all vapor is created equal. I’ve been using vaporizers for 8+ years now (never smoked) and I don’t cough or have any noticeable breathing/lung issues even when I exercise (but I’m not an athlete).

Remember, not all vaporizers are the same, so if you’re potentially breathing in fumes from hot plastic or something that’s not going to help.

Also, hot harsh and super dense vapor is I think a likely culprit in respiratory issues. I do cough occasionally after taking a draw that was way too big, and for a little while after I can tell my throat and lungs didn’t love it. I can take a couple of smaller draws and not feel anything bad happening though.

Like I said, edibles and tincture are a great option too, I just like people to be aware of their options and what I think the pitfalls are in vaporizing cannabis. If done in moderation (number of draws, temperatures, vapor density, etc.) I think many if not all of those pitfalls can be avoided. :2c:

Yea buddy...I remember when Lucky Strike Cigarettes stated they were Good for your health also.
Take a piece of white cheese cloth and cover the mouthpiece of your vapes before drawing thru them...do that everytime you take a draw. Hummm, I wonder what that Brown Stain is...? Its the Same Thing that is collecting in your lungs...its called Reclaim and it is Not water soluble !
Im not a doctor, but, if you think vaping is 100% free from any negative Respiratory effects, I think my Respiratory specialist would definitely Disagree ! Sure, its Better than Smoking, but, Far from Innocent !
Just the Opinion of a 74 year old with 25% measured lung efficacy while on 24/7 supplemental Oxygen.

I appreciate your perspective and words of wisdom. Curious if you were a smoker for any of those years? I'm in my 40s now and never did smoke, but have been using medically for 9 years. Keeping a close eye on pulmonary and cardio performance. Many many many health issues; thus why I accepted the side effects when I started. Negative side effects have been limited to THC affects in my case, which I touch rarely now. Huge proponent of minor cannabinoid research. I hope reliable studies can be published faster and more frequently for everyone's sake.

Started cigs 5 years before Cannabis....Vaping the last 4-5 years, still smoking cigs. A TRUE NICOTINE ADDICT !
Admittedly Vaping is safer than Combustion, but, lets not give it a Pass as being Harmless....Again, the RECLAIM Has to go somewhere. Of course then you get into the amount and frequency of use.
DEFINITELY SAFER/BETTER THAN COMBUSTING, IMO ! (for what thats worth)

Nothing is 100% safe. Everything has an inherent risk involved. Coffee drinking might be bad, or it might be good. Driving a car can end in you dying through no fault of your own but many of us drive daily with no second thought.

I've been using cannabis for 10 years this summer. As of now my lungs are doing great. I regularly blow a 99% for o2 saturation when I go to the Dr's office high, and I have to go every 3 freaking months to get prescribed morphine. My vitals are the best they've ever been in the past 10 years from vaporizing cannabis. My asthma has gone away too and I don't rely on a rescue inhaler as a safety blanket anymore. I don't use any steroids or steroid inhalers either too, nor any asthma pills. I used to be on a lot of them.

I recently recovered from RSV. My breathing was pretty much unaffected, but when I was 17 and supposedly in great health I almost died from RSV.

I've pretty much fucked combustion since the Saturday in my post above. * "Pretty much"? I have not smoked.

A friend gave me a half joint of "the good stuff."
I cut off the burnt end, unwrapped the goodies and put the cannabis into my Solo stem.
One taste later, I emptied the stem because that cannabis tasted so foul.
The glass itself needed a soak in alcohol to remove the ashtray smell.

After 35 years of smoking since 3 1/2 year "only" vaping. Just a few times the dynavap brought me to combusting - and this tastes so ugly really ugly - can’t no more imagine to have this bad taste regular again

After I smoked fo the first time, half a joint maybe 3.5 years ago, I immideatly thought there has to be a better way to consume cannabis and started to look into vaporizers. I bought my first vape 2 weeks later, the vapeble Nebel for 50€. I enjoyed the lack of smoke, the lack of smell etc. and used it mainly as pain medication against cronic migraines. Half a year later I got my next vape, the vapeble Wolke, a "big brother" model of the Nebel and was quite satisfied with it.
After now almost 2 years i am now using dry herb vapes as a tool for aroma therapy, mainly using lemon balm, lavender and passion flower and got myself the Fenix NEO which is just splendid. I had some issues with it, maily because I wasn't used to the chemical smell of a new vape but after a few heating cycles it runs like a clockwork :)
