Gonna try to address a few points, long post I rather address everything on my mind at once:
so it sounds like you are saying that you (and many others) actually believe Trump's campaign promises. that hadn't occurred to me. I have a blind spot for credulity.
there is certainly need for great change, I don't deny that at all. that need is what his campaign was able to tap into and harness, largely through the use of memes, hyperbole, and propaganda. it's not a novel idea
It's not a novel idea at all, tapping into the will of the nation. Weird how the career politician couldn't figure that out....
And, Hillary Cilnton's campaign, was also based on hyperbole and propaganda (is not every election?). Trump accusers have all been withdrawing their claims, and this was before president. Yet, that was touted and touted and touted.
Sounds like the Clinton supporters had a blind spot for credulity and lapped up every "Trump is evil" campaign she threw out. Too much buying into the propaganda. Coupled with the fact that you bought everything churned out by media sources that were in Clinton's pocket; sources who are known to be hyperbolic and with evidence of clear bias for Clinton......lapped up that propaganda. And it clearly was propaganda you lapped up, because everything you read said would happen, didn't.
I say that to make this point:
That comment, "I have a blind spot for credulity" reinforces again everything I said...Credulity means being too eager to believe, being gullible. (which I'm sure you know because you chose to use that word) So, Me and many others who believe things about Trumps campaign, we're too eager to buy into what he's selling? We're gullible? In the words of the statement I quoted in my previous post:
"You lied about polls and when we saw through it you called us paranoid. You lied about crime committed and called us paranoid. You lied about the medical status of a public figure, for fuck’s sake, and called us paranoid. Yet time after time when we were right, you just said “A broken clock is right twice a day!”
No.
Fuck you. This happened because we are so goddamn sick of you. We are so goddamn sick of not being heard. We are tired of being brushed off when we speak, so we don’t speak often. The Silent Majority."
This also relates to my OP comment about how I hoped the liberal tactic of driving wedges continued (past tense)
til the election as it will push people to Trump's side, and somehow, that gets construed as me being the bad guy....I pointed out what your side did, and how they failed, but "it says a lot about me" that I hoped their failing tactics would continue during the election. I wasn't the one driving wedges. The people I supported Trump with, weren't driving wedges. The left did that, and they failed, BIGLY, because of it. That comment reeked of sanctimony, as did yours about not buying into credulity. 50 million people are not gullible & that air of superiority is exactly why you lost.
Exactly how sure are you that he is as good as he claims to be?
We're not. I'm not at least. But, that gamble was a gamble I was willing to take. I didn't share the belief that the world would end and the US would loss progressive freedoms. I don't think abortion or gay marriage for instance, are going to now become illegal. We aren't going to take steps backward, too much public outcry against that stuff. But, I was not for the "steps forward" Clinton was going to take us and I genuinely agreed with the idea of Trump and what he represented. The change. Drain the Swamp.
And, he absolutely is going to have his feet held to the fire and if he does not deliver on MAGA, then I will be first to admit that as well. I'm not going to give him a pass because he was the candidate I wanted. One thing I've been fairly consistent on in all my posts across damn near all threads is an extreme distaste for hypocrisy and liars. I hold him to that. I think you guys will be surprised though and I do think he will make America booming. Stocks already trending up. I'm looking to invest some money into American Manufacturing as I do think it will surge.
But, since a libtard wants to be rated for his/her good intentions, versus actual results, they leave these activities with a feeling of success "because they have raised awareness" or "let their voices be heard.".......
Because conservatives take responsibility for themselves and their children, have real jobs, under gird the economy, and value their time, their counter protesting is often negligible.
......
A snowflake is a younger libtard, they feel they are even more entitled, often being "triggered" by opposing view points, sometimes violently. They believe in free speech, as long as it's speech that they agree with. If they do not agree, they will become so enraged, they will attempt to literally drown out the speech with noises and or chants.
I don't actually disagree with this, I've said before Liberal's PoV (not all but in general) is ideological with ideas good on paper but no realism. And I've also said before that I felt the KEY difference between left and right leaning people is the idea of personal responsibility.
Don't go low, we go high
Calling liberals, libtards, only is stooping to their level of name-calling. We don't need to use the Rules of Radicals and namecall when we disagree, just give the facts and you will know you "won" when they can't retort with facts and instead throw insults/attacks. But don't take the bait because as soon as you insult them with that, you are now the bad guy.
But, I am also curious between the homosexual/pedophilic "link" . Coming from a guy who believes very little in PC Culture and coddling everyone, that does come across at face value as ignorant. Not saying you're a bad guy for saying that, but I'd like to hear how you reached that perspective.
This was not an uneducated, white man voting pattern either. If so, how does that account for the fact that a higher percentage of Latinos voted for Trump than Romney in 2012. A higher percentage of African Americans. A higher percentage of young people. A higher percentage of educated women, and almost as high a percentage of women in general. (On the flipside, will Democrats have a hard look internally after this election, considering Hillary Clinton had a lower percentage of each of these groups than President Obama did in 2012?)"
100% This. Great post and points.
The hatred skyrocket with some of the republicans when a black man was voted as president 8 years ago. Trump has been fueling hate filled speeches and rallies. It only spured on more hate and division. Now he's been voted into office as president. Can you blame people for being afraid and angry? It's any wonder people are protesting in the streets.
If Hillary would have been voted in, the other side would be protesting in the streets to "lock her up". Or she needs to be executed. Trump owes American an apology for assaulting our hearing for the past 18 months with all the hatred.
I disagree on a few points here. There was no riots in the streets after Obama 08, 12 or after Clinton won so based on history, I'm gonna have to disagree that they would be out causing a disturbance. (The joke I've seen is that Republicans, we're at work
) Trump was not fueling hate speeches or rallies. It's been proven a few times over that the DNC sent people to cause disturbances at Trump rallies. The guy who was "Republicans Against Trump" last weekend he's one of these birddoggers. He yells gun so media can get the narrative of Trump supporters jumping on this guy with "Republicans against Trump" sign, but they really just botched the whole thing up. Aaron Black, who organized these birddoggers, has already been spotted at the "anti Trump rallies" following his presidency.
The Trump supporters I know are basically all encompassing people who don't care about your race and aren't inciting violence and fear (I know blacks, whites, women, latinos, gays, etc, so all encompassing with regards to who Trump supporters are too). Coupled with the facts that we know HC was paying people specifically to incite fear and violence, I have to disagree that Repubs would be on street and that they promote hatred. Factually, HC broke FEC violations and is guilty of the crime of "inciting violence/riots/etc" that many of you said Trump is guilty of. We are talking about the same people. The people rioting at Trump rallies who you guys thought should get Trump locked up, those were Clinton supporters paid to go drive a wedge and cause animosity and disturbances.
(I am aware this sounds "Reichwing conspiracy" and that I have my tinfoil hat on, but please just look up a bit on the bird dogging and you'll see what I'm talking about)
@Stevenski agree 100% , and I wonder when MSM will update the EC count to show the landslide that was Trump, because by god it was a landslide. I saw people talking CALEXIT. Imagine how big of a landslide it would of been if they were actually gone and she didn't get those 55.
All in all though across the thread GREAT PERSPECTIVES and thanks for sharing, I hope this can continue.
