I haven't heard anything yet about my 12/12 order.

Yeah, I ordered in January so was a little surprised to see someone who I thought ordered much later get their tracking. Good for him/her, just trying to figure out what is going on. If I have to wait another month, no big deal...

Yeah, I'm not worried. I'm just excited. I'm flying to Portland in a month.

I did - somebody approached me and I was willing to continue his wait/take what he ordered. Sorry to cause drama, I think everybody will have theirs very soon!
I figured they were doing the work by species of woods so I would get mine whenever they got to it. I'm just glad I don't have to sand it because I have severe reactions to some wood species.

This thing should really just be called Death instead of the Hex-Nail, because it is the destroyer of my world right now.

Why, glob mode, why? :rip:

I thought I knew what flavor from dabs was but I was wrong. This is amazing. 456* on the dish according to Hex-Nail, no pooling and no sizzling, just clean and tasty vapor.

I plugged it in, turned it on, waited thirty seconds or so...and it was on. I actually had to hurriedly get my reassembled Liger off the table, since the coil defaults to on. That's how quick you can be dabbing! I used the stylus and put it on my wifi and that was that. Wild.

Just received my tracking for my cherry Hex nail! Made my pre-order on Feb 2nd and wasn't expecting to receive it until this summer :D now I'll need to go buy a halo and I'm set!

Also, to everyone who has a sublimator I have received confirmation that we will be able to use it with the Hex nail in the future!

I got my tracking for my replacement walnut and I should likely have it by next week! I'll do a full review once I've tested it out. They're a bit behind with tracking numbers so if you were promised one to be shipping this week it's very likely on its way to you now.

Check out the scan in time on my parcel! Even if you're aiming for it sometimes there's just a little old lady in front of you who takes out her coin purse to pay while recounting her life story to the clerk. Or the clerk is also an avid fan of 4:20pm :D

Okay guys. I know you’ve all been anticipating an update since the blackout ended. We’ve been sending boxes out like mad lately but been pretty heads down as far as communication goes.

We’ve had the chance to finally shake hands with a few of our customers and it’s motivated us a lot at a time when burn out has become all too real. We’re excited to meet a few more this evening, too! (You know who you are)

As for production in general…

We decided to outsource a good chunk of the milling to a contractor (in CT) we’ve worked with before. He has access to much cleaner, nicer stock than we could find up here (for our particular needs). The process of getting the operation shifted over took awhile but the boxes he’s producing are top notch. I think most of you will find it’s worth the wait as some of these units hit your doorstep.

I’ll post a bunch of shots below. You should also start to see folks posting about them here and there. Now that units are moving out the door we’re really excited to get feedback on these.

Also know that the requests for Flowerpot specific tunings has not fallen on deaf ears. We’re very close to being caught up on our order queue and are excited to say that some of our wholesale units will even hit shelves in the UK soon. Once we’re caught up we definitely want to make it a priority.

When the time comes we will still most likely need a loaner from someone. We are still working on Sublimator compatibility and we don’t think that the change in termination on the newer models will be much of an issues once we can get things for the Sub in general dialed in. The Flowerpot will be much easier for us to profile than the sub though just due to the way it works.

Software wise we are currently on v1.2.6 and recommend everyone update to this version as it fixes some of the temperature swing issues customers have been experiencing. It also plugs all the holes in the preset functions.

Improvements and framework are going in mostly when we are waiting on parts for assembly to come in. Assembly and getting units out is (and will continue to be) or main focus until we are caught up.

If all goes well after we catch up we’re hoping to scale production up enough to have at least a few of each unit in stock and ready to ship. A few changes to the site will be going up soon (like a real link to the Quick Start Guide on the homepage, blog updates, etc.) but most of it is just basic fixes.

We are also currently out of stock on extra coils for the moment. Quite a few folks wanted extras / changes over the course of build out and the last of the extra stock went quickly after the last forum post. We have another order of coils on the way now so don’t fret…more will be available soon.

We are still planning to roll out a lot of the extras to folks post-shipment, too. We’re focusing on getting units out now and they will still be trickling in separately.

One of our shipments from our contractor that's come in over the last couple weeks.

Our...tuning (yeah...that's it)...station.

Some Walnut grain variation (the lines tend to have more depth and the finer grain smooths out like glass)

Bloodwood (post-finishing) as compared to the above raw shipment

See? This Padauk unit has it's eyes set on it's new home already.

And a little Blood in orange light to wrap it up.

@HexNailAva Hi Ava, thanks a lot for the update. Great news!

Nice to hear that works on compatibilty of Sub and HN (and FlowerPot ) are going on.

BTW don't forget the Herborizer Ti, the D-Nail Lotus Flower Adapter and the Errlectric Dry Herb Vaporizer Enail ;)

Sure there will be found loaners for too

Ava, please have in mind that the new Sub (2.5/3.0?) is new connected too. Now there just is a mini XLR socket at the new heating element. Plug and cable are firmly connected to the monkey controller. Only an adapter to connect the heater with the HN as you've intended regarding the XLR 2.0 version doesn't work I guess.
Therefore you would have to assemble a special cable with a mini XLR plug at one end and a plug fitting to the HN at the other one I think?

I gotta say that the new firmware has made all the difference in the world. Presets work, temperature control is excellent, all the interface wonkiness seems to be gone. Id say the platform is finally stable.

Great job, ladies!

Those of you with units coming, you get to experience the greatness out of the box. While there were never any deal breaking issues, there were some "Oh shit, is this thing going to boot up?" moments. Thankfully I never had any real problems except doing the first update and Liz walked me through SSH'ing into the box and running the update manually.

Back to "evaluating" the NewVape Flower Pot!

That Padauk has me excited.
Me too. ;)

That's the idea. We'd make an adapter for the older terminations as well.

We're stoked the new update helped even some things out and you're good to go now. Troubleshooting something like this takes time and we appreciate all the help and feedback. I'm personally excited to get my hands on a Flowpot because...unf.

We truly can never thank some of the folks in the FC community for their patience and help along the way so far. We're trying to do the work of 20 with the time of 2 on top of a lot of medical and personal issues that have been coming up and slowing us down over the course of production. Every bit helps and everyone with their Hex-Nail online and dabbing helps, too.

We got the chance to sesh with a few folks from 'round these parts last night (and deliver some units in the process) and the community always helps us push forward. We're doing our best to make the Hex-Nail the new bar and we won't be able to do it without the help this community.
