What we all need to ask ourselves is this; “is a convection vape for me”.
If you have never tried an on demand convection vape before you may experience the same issues you have with the square with any other on demand convection. The vape is not doing the work for you. You are doing the work. It’s like driving a standard car and shifting the gears yourself. Whereas the conduction vape is like an automatic car. Shifting gears for you. Heating the bud for you so you can sip. With convection vapes you really need to pull and get that air through the herb to then transfer into vapor.
If you have successfully hit several on demand vapes and have no issues, maybe you need to get a replacement Square under warranty.
I know when I first started out with this vape it was my first on demand. And it gave a bit of trouble. I’m 3 days in a row same bowl, vapor in every hit.
As I am now the proud owner of a H sq that wouldnt/ couldnt produce any vapor, that was sent to Haze under an RMA. Whereupon Alex at Haze sent me a video that makes me look foolish. he opens my HS and promptly makes clouds . without difficulty.
The question is what is the "trick" ? assuming my piece is in good working condition
we had a facetime session prior to my sending it out.
here are the issues that people have discussed
1. herb not good enough: it makes plenty of vapor on the plenty. at present i have several varietals available. i can try loading 4 strains on 4 pods.
2. fine. ground fine using a 2 piece space case.
3. pack. was pretty firm, but perhaps i can pack it firmer when i get it back.
4. technique: here is where some guidance would be useful from Fc memebers
i currently own a pax 2 and a plenty.
pAX - draw resistance is significantly - i get great vapor, thick and flavorful
plenty. almost no draw resistance. you can alyter vapor quality by altering draw technique.
very fast draw - cools heater and herb ?- minimal cloud
medium draw - thin but big clouds
slow draw- thicker clouds
on the plenty in no situation do the clouds approach the density of pax2
so on the HS where i perceive almost no draw resistance- what is the best technique ?
