Anyone using ss pods instead of black ones
Yeah, I am. 4 of them, all 4 using a grinder + Magic Flight finishing grinder and those steel screens that fit in the pods that someone posted a while back in the thread. Great, consistent high, and my chance of combustion ever since I changed grind (from medium grind via Santa Cruz grinder) has gone from 1/3 combusting to 0.
I changed my pod and my grind at about the same time, so it's hard to say what part of my current experience is due to the pod and what's due to the grind (or steel screen). I've heard people say flavor is better with the black pods, and I'd probably agree with that. I'm going to experiment more with the steel screens too, they really help keep things clean (and I've heard they may be good spacers if you don't fill your pods all the way) but I think if I just tamped the material more (I tamp very lightly right now) it may be as clean and maybe even more flavor/vapor than with the steel screen.
...I also should probably deep clean, I'm lazy and haven't in 7 months, just a brush and alcohol swabs on everything visible.
Anyhow, having a bit of a problem:
The mouth piece on my 7 month old Square is abnormally wobbly and loose when I put it in. Sometimes it falls out when I lift the vape up, or when I take my mouth off it. I can hold the device with the mouth piece facing down down and give it a light shake and it falls out. It used to stay in place much better. The mouth piece itself looks fine at first glance, which worries me that it might be a problem with the actual device itself.
Anyone else experience this?
