That's exactly, what I am getting at, try lowering your settings even further, that is why I like to run so low, the heat builds and retains, so can get full extraction regardless
How long are you pre-heating the trigger before you start your draw?

Well it does vibrate when it is ready so thats automatic... First hit or so might wait a little longer if you want to see more vapor sooner, and draw extremely slow so as not to cool it off too fast as it is heating up still, drawing faster as you go, fastest once you let go of the button and after it vibrates to fully clear...

Apologies if this has been answered in the thread already but I honestly don't understand one thing, how do you get the storage base off of the FATX to get at the mouthpiece adapter and latch?
The website shows how to take out the mouthpiece and put the storage pieces back on but not how to take them out in the first place. I can get the lid off easily but I honestly have no clue how to get the storage base out. Can I get a little help?

It is shown in the manual (available as a PDF if you don't have yours available), just after the chart of clicks vs temperatures. In a nutshell, you'll take the mouthpiece out, flip the unit over, and push the storage base out the first few mm THROUGH the hole where the mouthpiece exits the wood body.

That part of the manual was a little confusing for me but that explanation made it make sense! Thanks to your help I got the adapter out!

The only thing I'm struggling with now is how do I fit the adapter spring back inside the device before I put the storage bits back on?

What are the default temps on the fatx. I can't count the vibes well.

Is there still unregulated mode.
Only have 3 bowls on it so far with the default stem but it is niceeeee

Ok so I did it myself and even though idk if I did everything right, the device still all fits together and breathes good!

In case anybody else is having an issue with the spring, the way I got it in was focusing on the two small divots before the grooves for the storage parts. Make sure the tube of the adapter is upward like in the manual and you should be able to slot the spring in the little divots. The manual says that it should push the adapter into the oven and that's why you should angle the pokey end bits toward the adapter.
It made a noise that I'm not great at describing like a kind of "shrrk" sound when it slotted in and I don't know if that's good or bad but it made it fit!

A possible issue could be the mouthpiece adapter was inserted incorrectly when reassembling. Make sure the tube faces up before installing the mounting spring.

Up as in on the side where the tube is ontop (pictured below, edit:nvm i cant figure out how to post pics on mobile) or literally tilted upwards? I think ive got it in up but still having issues

Edit 2: Air flow feels normal when sucking or blowing thru the stem, so I dont think anything is blocked or installed incorrectly. Could be totally wrong though

That is a stunner @Orvaxxx

Had my fatx for a week now. My fist firewood vape. Won't be my last I suspect.

Wanted one for some time (since fw7) but hard to get here in Europe. And the additional import duties/taxes applied here adds a considerable amount.

But I really liked the look of the fw10 and as stock became more available I thought sod it and went all in. 2 weeks later it arrived.

First impressions. When the postie handed the package I didn't think it was my vape. Too small and light. But there it was. And in hand it was really small and light! I was really impressed. Very sleek and well put together (having read the posts here I was aware of earlier design changes).

I immediately found level 1 too low. But 2 and 3 are working well (I plan to reconfigure the heat settings for all levels so I can get a more progressive build of heat). What seemed a little confusing at first with so many clicks and buzzes was actually very simple and quite intuitive.

The tolerances on the wood work are good and after a little wax applied, the openings slide in and out more easily.

Loading requires a little care. I don't want any loose herb getting stuck in between the wood rails etc. And I've not tried the in built storage. Concerned about herb getting into the main body as when I flex the storage plate I can see slight gaps between the plate and the wood.
Is this a legitimate concern as I would like to use this feature?

Anyway, the loading isn't difficult per se, but not as easy/clean as using the straw tech with say a DV or tm stem.

Heats really quickly. Buzz and ready to go.

I really like the vape sig in this one. Tasty on first few and then stony on last few. I like a decent wedge of conduction like effects, a body hit to compliment the head high. Seems to take some of the best aspects of the TM and DV. And the vapour keeps coming. As it fades on L2 I ramp up to L3 and wow, more to go.
I'm always impressed at how much vapour this thing produces. When I take out the abv I'm amazed that such a little amount of herb can produce so much vapour.

For me it's especially good in the evening watching the goggle box. I can puff away for a few mins not worried about cooking the herbs. I can enjoy good flavour and melt into the sofa with the body hit.

I think this little power house might be my current favourite. I know it's still early but it ticks many boxes that others don't quite achieve.

And the added bonus, the icing on the cake, the strawberry on top is I didn't get charged customs duty!!!!! This one slipped through.

Fuck duties and fuck combustion !
