wish there were more third party stems being made for the Firewood 7, really wanna find a dope green one.

Yeah there are a lot of options, GVB would be my recommendation of course, the original hula stem comes in a wide variety of colors and I thought it did come in green? But it used to be two pieces, now the stems are one piece which is much nicer, so GVB can make a one piece in green for you

... some people have also asked about a Firewood 10. Best case I would release something in six months, probably more like a year from now. My goal is to make something truly revolutionary compared to anything available. Much faster, smaller, more efficient. However I'm not 100% sure if my new idea will work. Prototype oven is in the works, we'll see....
... now you've got me drooling ... hope the calendar flies by 🔥🌿💨

Sweet yeah that’s what I was more looking for, one that didn’t need to utilize the adapter. Gonna hit up GVB thanks!

I am really thinking in pulling the trigger on a FW9, but cant really decide if going for the bowl or the capsule option... when out of home I usually use hash or rosin wrapped in cotton so dont really use capsules. But at home I mainly use weed and not sure about loading that deep bowl in the bowl option....
any advice is wellcome

also, is the stem fully retractable or is there a 3rd party option that is fully retractable?

thanks

While having both versions, I only use the bowl version. So easy to unload, just blow thru the stem to clear it.
Packing rosin with wool on the go tho seems like a hassle, prepared capsules in the tray could shine in that case

Thanks for the reply. I prepack at home and place the cotton balls with the rosin in a small ear plugs plastic box. So basically is like dropoing a capsule in the vape

You can use the capsule version in a similar way, but you need a separate tool to help get them in and out typically, with the bowl version you can still disassemble to fully clean, but yes you are loading that deep bull instead of preloading the capsules before inserting them... I'm happy with the capsule version, even though I have not used any of my other capsules and tried preloading for swapping on the go at all yet

Yes stock stem is fully retractable, the good vibes ones are not unless requested they be, I requested one that is not retractable at all!

Yeah so if you like that system then maybe you would not want to use capsules, but you could probably use the capsules this way too actually so you might not even need the bowl version unless you want it for herbs too

I just ordered a FW9. Looks like my FW may retire on my selves as he’s no longer selling batteries for them… I ordered FW with the bowl. For me the removal capsule was just too cumbersome. The proprietary batteries also made the FW8 hard to carry. I hope the FW9 is an improvement

I think you will be very happy with the changes especially in those two regards!

Great to hear from you Marc. I'm always looking forward to the next FW, but I really can't imagine how you could make something even better than the 9.

Hmm...prototype oven in the works, huh? OMG, could it be? Will the FW10 cook you a pizza for after your session?

My FW9 came in yesterday after ordering it late Sunday night. Awesome turn around to be shipped to Chicago. Major improvement over the FW8. Love that you can finally charge the FW. I feel as is the heater is a bit more powerful than the FW8 could be wrong. The fixed bowl is something that wanted. I feel like the FW9 was what the FW8 should have been. FW9 comes bare, just the unit itself with no batteries or accessories or extra o-rings. Must be the honeymoon phase right now but I’m vaping at 430, waiting about 5 more secs after the buzz that it’s ready and I get smacked. Maybe a little more than my current TM2. I love the FW vapes due to its construction of wood. I’ve been to 4 Cubs game with my FW7 as it doesn’t even detect in metal detectors or wands. This FW is coming with me to all the festivals in Chicago. The foot print in your pocket is a lot less and now I just need to carry a doob tube with me and I’m set. If THERE is any request for the maker of FW and soon the FW10… anyway for the breath activation heating to comeback?

You want to run that back with the FW9? I assume it's the same. Because that's a major selling point for me personally

I can help pitch in for your bail money if it doesn't work out

The worst is that they take it lol. I have more vapes and more FW but not 9s but I’ll def let you know! FYI I snuck in my FW7 into Allstate arena for Monday night raw lmao

How long ago did they have that feature? I remember the old elevape that was extremely tricky in a variety of ways, breath activation trigger was a huge source of issue making it an extremely manual vape that many people could not use at all, or it would work fine and then suddenly not work... I absolutely hate auto draw stuff with carts etc because you have no control over the heating and cannot clear properly by shutting off power and keep inhaling... So I really hope that is never a feature of FW10 personally lol what I would like, is to not have to hold the button down, to press it once, have it heat for a set 30 seconds or whatever, if you press it again it will stop the heating early... That would be so nice imo

worst is that they take it

Yeah I would just leave the venue in that case lol hard to think of many things in a venue like that, that I would want to enjoy sober anyway, but they'd have to pry FW from my hands! I bet Raw was awesome that way, I wish I went to more things and brought more things like that with me lol

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
I don't think I have another vape that brings out the true essence of flavor in my buds like the FW9. When I have a new strain or when I really want to take the time to savor the terps and enjoy a slow session, there is no better vape. It takes some time to work through a session, but it's truly a ritual in action.

My TM2 is like using the gas grill. Fast, efficient, and consistent. Food comes out perfect. Great for weekdays.
The FW9 is like grilling with lump charcoal. Slow, ritualistic, and the best flavor outcome. Saved for weekends and free time.
A great team!

Agreed. I just took a hit of the TM2. The FW9 is just more robust!

Has anyone tried vaping live resin sandwich in bud?
