If you're able to search at all, it has been laid out before, possibly here or there, but I also am pretty certain there is a thread TM2 vs FW9 in the ask FC section as well?? Even if it's not saying one is superior, that is still a comparison lol However yeah it's totally fine here if we are framing it about the FW as you have
Anyway they laid it out well above, FW is more conduction on demand, ceramic chambers, you can use with more convection as well, but I really think comparing it that way makes sense to show the contrast... They both have the full temp range (although FW you have three presets, you can change the presets to anything in a full range at any time, seems tricky at first but is actually quite intuitive once you get the hang of it), pretty fast heat up, on demand nature (TM has the auto fire session capability holding the button down for you, which is something I do wish FW had, like if it heated on its own for a certain number of seconds, and you could just press the button again to shut it off early? Instead of having to hold the button down the whole time to keep it heating during your hits --I always try to clear all the vapor and heat from each hit in either vape regardless) and I think the air flow is pretty open with either one to the extent that how you load, grind consistency and pack tamp, along with screens and stems etc. is what allows you to then control the restriction accordingly...
Replaceable 18650 (molicel best) and glass pathways (both have removable pathways that are fully cleanable, including the chamber, although FW the chamber and pathway is ceramic before the glass. Another key difference is connection, I think it is not as simple with FW as it is with TM, to have the ground glass joint, unless you don't mind putting the FW on its side or whatever and getting a different stem, or getting an aftermarket right angled bend WPA, however I don't worry about that since I have FW7 with WPA instead for that experience at home...
Another little difference, I would say the FW is much more artisan, even though both can be considered that way, TM is a bit more of a mass produce operation, FW really is still a one-man show and has actually been around longer (although the design is very different now than what it was previously, FW7 really changed things!) Oh yeah FW9 is smaller and later in weight than TM2 too... Hope this all helps
