At the time none were soaked in iso and only had it for a couple days.
Hasn't happened since, but I also don't open it right after a hit.
Also yesterday I soaked 3 caps(for first time) and now there sitting in the sun drying. we will see how that turns out!

I’ve been soaking Firewood ceramic parts in iso for as long as there have been Firewood ceramic parts, for 5-60 minutes depending on my attention span, then air drying them quickly and putting them right back to use (low temp surfer, so 320-380 degrees). Sometimes, like when iso was hard to find b/c Covid, I’d soak them in bourbon (way higher % water) for a nice drink.

Anecdotal evidence, I know, but if it was a common issue, pretty sure I would’ve encountered it sometime during FW5, 6, & 7.

Hi!

I noticed your FW8 has a metal liner in the end of the wooden part where the stem exits... equivalent to the Walnut Firewood 7 Extra Cooling Mouthpiece Upgrade Kit, I think?

Does that metal tube go all the way through, from the end of the internal slot to the exit of the wood cooling MP?

Woke up this morning thinking the Cannabis Gods had smiled upon me, I had the day off and found that my expected Saturday delivery date had updated to this afternoon!

Later I remembered that they are also Chaos Gods and if you look closely those smiles hide a bit of smirk and evil chuckle... As I plugged in my battery pack and began my 6h wait... 😩

Thanks for the photos! Can someone post some photos of the dosing capsules and how they load into the vape? I haven't really worked out how they work from the few photos. I guess you just "stack" the dosing caps together and put them into the oven?

Stack? You only put one in the oven at a time, and then you seal it with that ceramic lid that has the three air channels in it...

Is the lid the small cylinder under the dosing capsule clip in the first photo? I guess I just can’t see that those are air channels.

Yes, you see how the ceramic circle has two pieces sticking out too, those lock into the wood, it has that wood handle for twist turning on the other end when the FW8 is assembled. So, probably better to just think of them as removable swappable chambers, not exactly dosing capsules with lids, only one lid for all of them (I think air channels)

Wait, what? The lid has three air channels? Are you saying the three rectangular protrusions on the flat surface of the ceramic part of the lid are air channels? How do those work? Why am I so dense? Why do fools fall in love?

Yes exactly, thank you, had not known before this was the design, these photos make it clear, can see why there would be more convection in the 8 compared to the 7 now!
