Patience, young Jedi.I guess the Fw8 is never coming out.
I can't say if you should do it or not, but I only know of one person who has taken their vape outside of Australian borders, and he lost his mighty and is on year 4 of his 10yr ban from entering the US. I've read online of others doing it and succeeding, but don't see too many stories of it failing so thought I should give a hint of what *could* happen.how do you clean, do you pack your FW7 for international air travel?
I have the impression that if I pass in front of dogs with my Fw7, they will come to mark me directly... but it may be only a bad impression...
If you have any tips, I'm all ears!!
Unfortunately FW7 is not a vape that I would choose for travel as it cannot be completely cleaned of resin. I’ve travelled with my Tinymight with no issues as only the glass mouthpiece / cooling unit requires cleaning.how do you clean, do you pack your FW7 for international air travel?

I'd personally ship it to myself. Maybe even go a bit fancy and use a reputable courier like DHL. Best thing is, if caught? "Sorry, no idea what that is or why it was sent to me".@PossumMD , @Kaptan , @Texus
Thanks for your opinions guys... yeah that kind of confirms what I thought... it's -completely- difficult to clean...
in fact I'm moving this summer... from France to Canada...
So my options are:
- separate myself from my FW7 for a month and a half and put it in a container on a boat... but it can just as well be spotted by dogs...
- make it travel by plane, in the hold... dogs are always a possibility... as well as an employee who would like the Fw7...
- take it in my backpack... with the risk that it won't go through customs at the airport...
-thinking about it, I could also pay 40€ and send it to me by mail... always with a risk...
hmm... difficult choice!!!
If others have cleaning techniques, I'm a taker...
and if you have any opinions on my options - without derailing this thread - I'm interested too!
Happy vaping!!!

Has he actually publicly announced any release date for the 8? Cos he may just be taking a well earnt break...?Heard delay (not really a delay) was due to the reforestation project. Too many 7’s sold.
And no, would not bring a 7 to the airport.
Not that I’ve seen. No delays cause no release date. Just anticipation from the well deserved success of the 7.Has he actually publicly announced any release date for the 8? Cos he may just be taking a well earnt break...?
Sweet. I hope he's taking a break, the dude must've been working like a one-legged man at an arse kicking competition. Not that I’ve seen. No delays cause no release date. Just anticipation from the well deserved success of the 7.
He was pretty active when the fw7 first dropped. I spoke to him on here and that's what finally sold me on it.I do wish marc was a little more active in the community. I know this isn't his whole life, and he probably loves privacy, but it'd be cool if he could do some updates here and there about what's going on.
Kinda just feels like he's this robot entity that makes really amazing vapes lol
And that's awesome, you love to see it! However, that was what now, almost 2 years ago? The only time I've talked to Marc is through email, which he is very cordial, but also very short with his words lol.He was pretty active when the fw7 first dropped. I'd argue the opposite, the info is out there in the community, and the community is active. Barring any kinda issue with a unit, I'd rather he spent time making rather than socialising. And that's awesome, you love to see it! However, that was what now, almost 2 years ago? I'd just love to see him pop up around more!
Not socializing, updating.I'd argue the opposite, the info is out there in the community, and the community is active. Barring any kinda issue with a unit, I'd rather he spent time making rather than socialising.
Let's be real. A quick little pop in now and then, which probably would take 5 minutes tops, would not pose any real impedance on him making the vape... If that was the case, we'd be on the FW10 by nowI'd argue the opposite, the info is out there in the community, and the community is active. Barring any kinda issue with a unit, I'd rather he spent time making rather than socialising.
I mean, it easily can be just 5 mins tops. Either way, certainly not enough time to actually impede on making a vape....It's never just "5mins tops"... And what updates does there need to be? A lot of creators wait until they have a finished design before going public. And a lot like to use the community to alpha and beta test their designs. Both are equally valid tacks to take.
I have to agree with this. If you go back through the thread you can see that in the past Marc posted here much more often. His posts would include long descriptions of what he was working on, photos, his ideas on what was going to happen next, technical explanations, and the like. And whenever he posted he would be inundated with countless questions, requests for clarifications, etc.. When that happens he is faced with a choice: respond to everyone and lose a lot of production/rest of his life life time to forum activity or don't respond and come off as non-responsive.It's never just "5mins tops"...
