Hmm good solutions, though they sound like a bit of effort.
I was thinking maybe superglueing a smaller key in the hole, screwing it out, then dissolving the glue......does that sound feasible?
Super glue won't work almost surely. It doesn't fill gaps at all well. Sometimes you can get lucky with high strength epoxy, but in my experience such dissimilar metal 'locked thread' adventures are though. You need 'breakaway torque' to shift the locking problem, taking lots of force, to get things moving. After that, lots of stuff (including the original key tapped back into the hole with a piece of fine copper wire) will carry the day.
By all means try, be very careful not to let any get under the head or into the threads or you're truly cooked.
