Discontinued Elevape SV

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
After some times using the Mi I need to say it can taste as good as the ESV if properly used.

As for the ESV I use it dry quasi all the time. The ESV is more a no brainer unit, nothing to count, nothing to break.
Both units require stirring in order to get a full brownish abv, no stirring will results with a black and green abv.

EsV is better for micro-dosing. Still in love with this tiny black box!

edit: I can't believe it's still my 2000 post!!!

To be fair, both units can be used without stirring for some, through for me I did prefer to stir both. Milaana i can get away without stirring easier, with more even avb...

I really loved my Elevape and still hold in high esteem, one of the first 50, but it hasn't seen use in a long time now. Milaana just better for me in almost every way, some compromises ofcourse, but pros outweigh the cons.

The two combined would be an incredible vapor experience! :2c::peace:

Looking forward to seeing what @Ipuffusa has in store with the 2.0, wish the beta testers could tell us! But that's a double edged sword as I experienced with the Milaana and Zion...

Heloo fellow vaporists. I'm new here. Love the dialogue and sharing of experience. I have chosen to pipe in since we are on the cusp of ESV 2 and other 2s ... I've been rockin' the ESV for nearly a year solid. It's almost troubling how much I rely on its performance.

Difficult holding back on VAS, FF2 for hype's sake, Boundless for $ and stealthy convenience. Yet, good things are on the close horizon. So I wait. Stirring will always be an issue. If makers crack that, then we're golden. I've resigned to stiring after each hit for optimal extraction; in sitting down, getting into the process and appreciating the hit. Repeating until satisfied.

Jealous of all 2.0 beta testers. Take us to the next level

I just ordered an Elevape 2.0. Joe said it should be shipping in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to try it out and see what improvements the 2.0 offers since I can't find any information anywhere. I'm taking a huge leap of faith with this purchase. Fingers crossed that it'll be everything I hope it will.

I don't know what the improvements are, that's why I said it's a leap of faith. I'm super curious myself.

The 2's are not out yet, improvements are battery life, and software performance. I was told availability would be the end of this week. We shall see....

Thanks mephisto! I was wondering. I had an old one ordered and then I found this forum and saw that the 2 was coming out and I emailed Joe. I would have been very unhappy to just get a v1 and have the v2 come out right after.

I can't wait to get it and try it. I've been researching for a new vape for what feels like forever. I have a PAX, lots of things I don't like about it, mostly the hard draw and how much herb it goes through. I bought a cheap xvape vital because it was convection and came with a water bubbler attachment. I don't know if it's just me, but I just can't get any clouds off of it, or medicated.

I love the idea of the instant hit and ability to take a hit, wait a while and take another without wasting herb. I had already ordered a stir lid attachment when I thought I was getting the V1, I hope it'll work with the V2. I'm really surprised they didn't add one themselves to the V2.

Cloudy...
If they still have the same coil system I'm not sure if I want it. Don't get me wrong it was amazing to be able to "tune" your coil and a huge + in my book, but a few times I found out that the coil changed his performance alone and it was a pain to "tune" it again.

But still really interested on it, ESV is/was without a doubt one of my favorite convection portables. Top 3 fore sure.

Wasn't the ESV 2 supposed to be the indica O2?

I think the stir lid may not have been that popular or successful as it turned out to be a big heat sink

I will for sure, I can't wait!

Really? That bums me out a bit because I really don't like the idea of all the stirring that seems to be required. I saw a video review with the stir lid attachment and it sure seemed to make it a lot easier to use.

I never stirred my first 2 ESV's just used a medium grind and light "tamping" of the bowl as opposed to "packing". A few hot spots here and there, as the load gets cooked it decreases in density and becomes easier to "stir" or shake even. My beef was always the reliability factor. I had numerous factory returns, software tweaks, battery swaps, coil dimension changes. No lack of support from Joe, as I have stated ad nauseum prior. I just never got to trusting the charge to stay for a day of use, or the breath trigger for the coil was intermittent.
@b0 I believe the O2 and i2 platforms are completely different beasts from the ESV. All quiet from both major players in the Indica/iPuff partnership.
Bottom line is that the ESV is of solid build, convection, discreet, effective, and super badass high performance when the device has been "dialed in".

Been kinda quiet in here for awhile, I bet we might start seeing more posts from the patron saint of ESV himself. ( you know who you are )

Totally true! IME the only problem was that and some weird battery issues that the customer service (one of the best I have had to use ever) always took care off.

Appart from that, one of the best flavors I have tried in a portable and the coolest vapor.

Dude please how do.you contact for a service or how do i get intouch with joe for repairs please i need to smoke!!!!

2:13PM - So I spoke with Joe and he walked me through how to reset the device and I was able to learn about the coils being loose at times. I tightened the screws on the coil and downloaded the latest firmware from the site. I plugged it in and tried to hit and I got clouds! So i will run a few more test but for those who get the solid light and no heating check the coils make sure they are secure and tight the screws, download latest firmware, plug the device up and open software, unplug and test. If that doesnt work then contact customer support for more assistance

This! This is the reason I am seriously considering unloading the ESV. The coil can easily get out of whatever tolerance is good for performance and tinkering with vapes isn't my hobby. Clearly there are people who enjoy that aspect and the ESV will certainly perform well for them.

@Ncoking please do not bump the thread anymore asking the same question. I have deleted the last four of your posts and your other two were merged and ask the exact same thing. Be patient!

Stir lid has been a plus on my inhale. With variable green app settings the "heat sink" of the stir lid works to evenly distribute wind. I still stir manually, but ABV has better chance of even roasting with two stir rods in the bowl - not unlike Gaboof with its singular heat stick - they have their place, but stir attachment has been out of stock at a few retailers.

Shouts to anyone who has a v1 and a v2...

Please let us in on how the two stack up

I will for sure, I can't wait!

Just imagine being on a porch in a cozy seat with a cool breeze stirring and vaping away all worries

Spoke too soon. ESV just mini stroked. Sputtering and fading. Likely a battery issue. Used to hit throughout the day, now only whisps .. immediatly after a recharge and mere whimpy exhales.
Bummer. Really wanted to brag how this thing lasted a solid year. However, 10mos consistentcy isn't shabby.

Now the conundrum.

VAS creeping. Sweat forming. New vape devices in various phases of development. What will serve best?

Fully commited to convection/induction, having been a heavy smoker in the past. No torches please.

Anyone hip to ESV 2.0?

Hey guys,

I ordered my ESV a month ago from elevapesmart.eu, took a little while before it got send to me because of 'connectivity problems with the computer'. When I got it I immediately charged it with the supplied charger. After the green light came on I unplugged but left the charger in the socket. ESV was really hot to the touch by this point (one hour of charging) so I left it to cool for a bit. Not more than a few minutes later I hear a sizzling sound coming from the charger, the power went out in the house and my room smelled toasty. Black plastic of the charger was definitely warped due to heat. Decided to test the ESV. Activation light came on, but no heat/vapor. USB connected to PC it recognized a USB device but couldn't communicate with it. Tried charging with different kinds of chargers/powerbanks/cables and via laptop but none of these options made the charging light light up.

Cue some communication with Bálint and I received my unit back last thursday. I've asked for replacement coils instead of a charger I'm not gonna trust anymore. I have enough reliable chargers already.

This time it works. Finally. But it does feel finicky. I've been baked hard but with the same settings and same material I've also been a bit disappointed. My grind is coarse I'd say but I do have a Santa Cruz Shredder 3 piece in the mail that supposedly fluffs up the material. I try to draw slowly, have a downward slanted coil and left out the mouthpiece screen and stir lid. I use the new 3.0 app (suggested by Bálint) so I'm not really sure what my temps are. He said the range is 150-300° C and you can choose from 1-30. So I'm guessing 1 step is about 5° C. By that logic I'm at 160, 175 and 195° C (320, 350 and 385 F). I've never really seen any clouds except when going above the 200° C (390 F) and even then it's not much. I know clouds aren't anything to go by, but sometimes the effects are not really pronounced.

I guess I'm still getting the hang of it and after being a pretty decent smoker I have to give it some time to get accustomed to. I really like the idea that it's more DIY than a lot of other vapes and even though it is my first vape it'll definitely not be my last.

In fact, due to a miscommunication between Bálint and me I now have 2 stir lids (one I bought, one I got as a freebie for the troubles) I was thinking about sanding one down to just the two rods connected with a bar, screw in the middle. This might help with improving airflow but also stop the stir lid from being to much of a heatsink.

Anyway, lots of good discussion on here and lots of interesting info. Now I don't have to annoy Bálint with all my questions.

Didn't want to post another reply for this, but I can't seem to find the edit button on my previous comment.

I had some trouble with the unit not activating properly after working without a hitch, decided to get a second opinion from Joe and he told me 'You are the first one to have our 2.0 unit and I think they are still trying to work the bugs out. Thank you for your feedback and your support.'

So that's why my 3.0 app says Elevape 2.5 and I have extra holes drilled in the block under the chamber.

EDIT: got it working again! Probably had to do with me bending the coil a bit too much and touching the chamber wall.
