Who's gonna be picking up a 2020 model Woodscents even though you already have one?

Only recently just saw what Ed's been working on on his Instagram and boy am I tempted to get another one when he releases them even though I'm already very happy with my Walnut model. I like the shape of the 2020 model much more than the last one. Thinking of getting some sort of exotic wood but bloody hell it's hard to decide!

It would be awesome to have one in the lounge room and one in the bedroom. Hell, ideally I'd have one in every room of the house, each in a different type of wood.

Hey, all. So. I got my Woodscents lite kit today and I’m loving it, sooo much. My favorite combo so far is pairing the Ti-tip with my Simrell vortex—so nice! And I’ve also been getting great hits with my water piece and wpa. So far I’m very happy with my purchase. I spent a lot of thought on weather I’d go with this or a Tinymight. No regrets on my decision. 🤙

I do have a question. I’ve been loading my dynavap tips, after packing down verrry lightly, about two thirds full, so as to leave some empty space so the herb doesn’t touch the heater screen/cover. I recall reading though that I could use it with a fully filled dynavap tip, and that I’d have to lower that heater screen/cover so it sits down lower. Well, my heater screen now is sits lower so that’s done. But it seems a fully packed dynavap tip would still allow the herb to directly touch the heater walls when placed on the heater. Is this fine and what is supposed to happen when using a full dynavap tip? Or is what I’m am already doing, loading the tip 60-70% full, considered a full pack when using the dynavap tips with the woodscents?

Also, any tips on getting the densest vapor possible would be appreciated! Although I’ve been getting very nice vapor already on the first day.

Happy to be part of the Woodscents fam 🤙🌎👖💙

I sprinkle fill mine until 90% full then just place my WS on top, no tampimg at all, maybe brush a little off if too full (overflowing).
If you want a bit denser cloud you can leave the WS on the tip for a few a while before starting your inhale to preheat the load a little to get things going.
There are many ways to enjoy the WS, even tamping a load for some mouth pulls instead of direct to lung bong like I normally do are always fun for a change too...ol cigar puffin!

Thank you. That actually helped me understand how I can pack it quite well. I was being overly cautious about the whole process and about the herb being distanced from the heater screen, worried about combustion. But after more testing I’ve discovered how easy it is to take my AVB to a very dark (and even) brown without worrying about combustion—hasn’t happened yet and I’ve been trying to push the device for quick, complete extractions resulting in dark AVB.

The more I get to know the thing the more I appreciate it! I also like how the WS initials on the inside look like some sort of alien insignia 👾

I’ve got a question for everyone. I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my unit either turning on or staying on.

Sometimes it’ll be plugged in and on but it won’t heat up. Or sometimes it’ll be working and without ever adjusting the temp or turning it off I’ll go back to use it later but there’ll be no heat. At this point I’ll have to try all different combinations of outlet holes and unplugging other electric things from the holes and unplugging and replugging before something finally works. It’s just strange because the outlet I was using yesterday is not working today, but sometimes it is.

I’m trying to figure out if it’s the unit, the cord, or the outlets . . . any guesses? Do you think a VVPS would address this problem? Anybody experience this before?

@Pursewarden_sPast Are you sure the plug is plugged all the way into the unit? Sounds silly but I've definitely had that happen before. Other than that, doesn't sound normal to me. Hard to say if it's your outlet, the power supply, or the unit. I'd hit up Ed. He'll set you straight man. Great CS always.

Yes I’ve checked the plugs a bajillion times lol. It’s frustrating cause I’ll get it working but shortly after it just turns off...despite the dial still being where I set it initially. I will get in touch with Ed. Thanks for the reply.

Edit: I’ve also verified it’s not the specific outlet as I am having the same issue with numerous outlets

I had the exact same issue. It was the extension cord not making a good connection. Since then I just plug my unit to the dimmer and have had 0 problems. I have some 12V connectors in my house and most of them seem thinner than the woodscents one. No one of them makes a good connection but I macgivered a laptop connector from an universal laptop power supply to connect it to a vvps and it works wonders.

Well I just cracked and bought the Karelian Burl. I think its the one he had on his Instagram here... http://instagr.am/p/CECOYYbHqxc/
I felt like I missed out on the Japanese Elm yesterday but ending up scoring this and I even like it better.

Will post pics when it gets here!
The picture is not showing up without a log in, but I think I know which one you're talking about. Either burl looks like a piece to cherish for many years. Ed makes good shit!

I've been using my WS through water on an Omnivong with the carb wide open the last few nights. I've been enjoying the increased airflow! That's one of my very few nitpicks with the WS - it can feel a bit too restrictive at times, especially when you're trying to take a huge rip through water.

@Eclipse Beautiful unit, please report back!

If you sprinkle pack and still have too much restriction I would advise using 2xWS at once as this fixed that one little gripe for me.
All you need is an extra WS and these,
