@Ed's TnT thank you for touching down with us all and again so generously and openly sharing your life and what is in your heart!
I know I can speak for everybody when I say how wondrous it is to hear that you are happy.
Welcome back to reality Ed, so glad to know it is a happier one for you know, forever may it continue!
That cocoboloco log is looking very MoltenTiger-esque Ed!!Good morning everyone, just got home after a couple days away at 4H training again. I am certified as a shotgun range officer/instructor now as well as being an air/.22 pistol officer/instructor. Gosh I love doing this for the kids and going through the training. Its such a joy to be able to be a part of this activity with my kids as well as others in our program. As I said before there is a lot of kids that dont play sports, maybe they are just too small for football and maybe not the best on the baseball field but can and do enjoy mastering the skills at marksmanship. Just what was said again at training yesterday, when you are on the range and with a kid that has never shot before, after going over with them how and what they are supposed to do when shooting an air rifle the first thing they shoot at is a blank target. No bullseye or spot is on the target its just a blank piece of paper when they shoot at it. As an instructor you dont look at the target when they shoot you look at the child to see the excitement of just hitting the paper. It doesnt matter where on the paper they shot its just that they hit the paper and seeing them recognize they did it, the smile they wear and the enthusiasm to do it again. Wow it only gets better after that!
Not sure if I told you all or not, my middle son had the big state chicken showing, he didnt win and was disappointed but didnt let that discourage him. He sold his chickens afterwards making about $120. Now he is very excited and is anxious to do it again. He has enough money now to buy a kayak he has been wanting for a long time now. He took his chickens to a live stock auction with his grandfather. It was mostly a chicken auction. They said all the chickens were selling for almost nothing but when his came up the auctioneer said they were some of the best there and were 4H chickens, he sold some in pairs of rooster/hen and just hens alone. People started bidding and would you believe he got $22 each for just a hen alone. Nobody there got anywhere close to that kinda money for one.
My wife went with me again for this training and is always great having her by my side. I know we are newlyweds still and have been together for a little over a year now but I dont like being apart from her and her away from me. I know that wasnt always the case in my first marriage, and hope this never changes in my marriage now. My wife is such a blessing to me. She is near me always when we are together. If I am in the shop working wood she is there as well. She is always wanting to help and pitch in and if there isnt anything she can do she is cross stitching on a chair there in the shop. I love turning a beautiful piece and yanking it out of the lathe to walk over and show her how nice it is afterwards. She says wow babe that is beautiful and gosh you are really talented. I say thank you and no I am not. I am just doing what I do and love what I do is all. I am thankful to be able to do what I do and hope I am able to do it the rest of my life.

Welcome to the club bro! The Camphor Burl club that is!Hi folks,
I picked up the incredible camphor burl that Ed posted on the last page. It's hard to believe but it is even more exquisite in person! I am in love! The matching stems are incredible! I've long admired the WS but had been holding off until the right piece spoke to me. I was initially holding out for a nicely voided piece or a live edge but when Ed shared that row of beauties I couldn't take my eyes off it!
I am using an alternate phone since my iPhone completely gave out and haven't figured out how to po at pics or videos from the phone yet but once I figure it out They shall soon follow! I use it pretty much at the highest temp (slightly under 10 because it seems to cool down if I have it turned up as far as the dial allows and I get va beautiful roast but no combustion! This baby and my Tubo are now the heavy miller's in my household! And let me tell you guys, this sweet thing really brings the thunder! I really love the idea of a little LED light in there, I'd love to launch with a purple beam of light over my FC-Ufo and then slip on that aroma therapy cup and space out!
I prefer the vapcap tips to the 14mm Glas stem because I just don't get the same level of doneness with my herb. I wish i had an o-ring just slightly thicker than the high to one's so I could get a little firmer of a seal, but boy is the flavor fantastic with that glass wpa.
I am still getting used to inverting the WS onto the stem as its seated in the bubbler but I just haven't gotten it effortless yet.
I sure love that it uses the vapcap tips and therefore can be used with every vapcap i owm besides the OG. Guys this is beautiful and I know I'll always have support (not that I'll ever need it) just one quick text or call away!
Ed, you really built the perfect piece for me, and somehow you knew it! I really enjoyed talking with you about your wedding my friend and was thrilled get a picture from you of the beautiful bride and groom!
I have a friend that works security at one of the hospitals I work at and he is very talented with the wood lathe and makes some gorgeous pens am get other beautiful bowls and storage comtainers. I showed him this beauty in a text and he identified it immediately! I am going to have him make me a few stems, I want one to be around 6-8" stem like a cigarette holder, maybe another routed into a 2 piece configuration so I could heat the cap area easily (probably similar in size to the WPA that Ed sells in in his packages) and then insert it into along stem so it is reminiscent of a long gandalf pipe, I like that i have plenty of options for the WS and I thing some long stems will make for some incredible dry hits!
I have no idea how I am not combusting with the WS on max but I am straight mesmerized with this very special piece. Ed, this piece already has incredible sentimental (sentimental really) value already and I just can't believe it gets any better than this! Ed I won't truly be satisfied until you and I get to sit down and have a session together some day. If we ever get the chance to make it happen I will be over the moon!
Thank you dearly my friend, you should be proud of yourself in many different aspects right now my man!
