i'm not allowed to use "concentrates" per my wife's rules (she never said anything about reclaim!). But I've been using a single Herbalizer stainless steel "Aromapad" with my reclaim with pretty good success - the pads are a bit larger than the stem. So I jammed one down a spare GonG where it lives.

When I start, I usually take a few "dry hits" to pre-heat the GonG (with the aromapad installed). and I use my dab tool to melt a piece of reclaim onto the pad. From there I toss on the Nano and enjoy massive clouds (taste isn't the best, but I usually add multiple chambers of diffusion to compensate for the flavor).

I really don't enjoy the cotton aftertaste when I vape my reclaim soaked cotton, the aromapads however obviously impart no taste on the concentrate.
What do you mean exactly by reclaim? Do you use the isopropyl evap method to make it? I call this ghetto hash lol

He is talking about the golden goodness left behind in stems and glass pieces. Basically some very good vapor concentrate that is pretty pure and does not really need any ISO treatment. Well, at least I don't put poison in my reclaim.

Just scrape and vape — nothin' ghetto about it. :tup:

Actually I skip the ISO and usually use Everclear (190 proof grain alcohol), I haven't found a good way to scrape my stems clean without a piece of cotton....

I take all my stems and gongs once they've all got a nice reclaim coating in them and stick them in a small sauce pan full of milk to simmer for a bit, then remove, drop a Hershey bar in the milk and melt it down and enjoy the best cup of hot cocoa you can ever have.

I can vouch for the hot chocolate the best I've ever had put my wife to sleep. Lol My next experiment I'm going to simmer in a saucepan with some butter and make some rice krispie treats.:science::tup:
Did you have a recipe for these rice Krispy ?

@Ratchett Why can't you use concentrates ?

Lol, wife's rules - she's not too keen on cannabis. So I obliged to her simple request years ago, and haven't really regretted it - flowers are more than enough for me

They are not "concentrates". Let's just call it cannabis with all that unwanted pesky fiber removed. ;)

Just replace your special oil with wherever oil/butter any regular recipe calls for and you're good to go.

so you drink it then?

second unrelated note:

I'm new to the nano but here's my fool proof method for clouds for anybody who hasnt figured it out yet. crank it up to 9-10 and let it heat up for 10-15 mins. turn down to 7 and youll get vapor that tastes great , milky clouds and not scorch the bud^_^. im just hitting from the stem for now (havent got my hands on a water piece yet). Also mix after each hit or it may scorch.

My personal strategy for using concentrates is to grab a qtip and rip off as much cotton as I can from one of the ends, then pull it apart a bit with my fingers so that is all similar consistency. I then put it into 2 piles, one with more than the other. I take the larger pile and stuff it into the top of my GonG and compact it a bit with the end of a pencil. I then put my dab in the middle and sandwich the remaining pile of cotton on top. I make sure to keep the screen at the long epick side length and usually have my heat on 9-10. I personally have never combusted with cotton/dabs so I was a little suprised to hear that. I kind of just figured this out through trial and error and I am sure other people have more effective/ easier strategies. I can maybe post some pictures later tonight or tomorrow if you would like.

Hopefully that helps

Ok I tried it and it really did work but I started at 8.5 and didnt go past 8.9 and I am there. I really didnt pay close attention to the cotton either just took small bits spread them and sucked one in then wrapped a chunk in the other and sucked it in. Worked perfectly. Love my E-nano. Thanks for your suggestion!

Spent months lurking and pouring though the Nano, UD, and HI threads here on FC. Just astonished by the sheer amount of info here.

Finally pulled the trigger on an E-Nano this past weekend. Playing the waiting game now.

Really looking forward to owning a log vape!

@Walter Bishop Welcome to FC! You made a great choice. I spent two weeks reading this E-Nano thread before ordering. I wish there was a "best of" or top 50 posts. There's probably a way to sort the most liked posts, but I haven't tried to figure out how to do that.

. I'm waiting for my second E-Nano to arrive less than a week after buying my first one. They are that good!

I'm shocked at how far a few grams of mmj can last while getting so much more out of it at the same time. . I'll get my money back in a couple months from buying less.

@ChippyMalone Thanks for the welcome!

Been attempting to learn as much as I can before the unit arrives. Though I assume once it's in hand, the real learning will begin anyway. Just hoping I'm able to have a decent sesh within the first day or so.

I'm definitely looking forward to the conservation ability the Nano (logs in general it seems) provides.

@ACE OF VAPE

This thing is amazing!

I waited all day for two packages yesterday. I walked out the door when I saw the post guy and he sped off before I got to the box! I only received one package and no nano! About 5 minutes later I heard him drive by again, and this time the nano was in the mailbox...

This thing is really a piece of art. Very elegant. I think its the fanciest thing I own haha. It hits so good!

Thanks again Andy.. Really great job!

Welcome to the site! I wish I had been so thorough with my research when I bought my first desktop vape! Would have saved me a lot of money searching for a good cloud-chasing vape!

The biggest piece of advice I can give based on the feedback of myself and other beginners. Let your Nano preheat by turning it up to 6.5 or 7 and let it sit for 15-20 minutes before you start your first session.

I know when I first got my nano, I plugged it in, loaded her up and went at it, with very disappointing results (I started at 7, but had to crank it up to 8.5 before I finally got some thin vapor). For best results, wait until the wood is warm on the outside before you start using it.

I'm definitely hoping to have a decent first sesh, so great info.

It seems there's a lot of opinions regarding pre-sesh warm ups of the unit. Seems that some people like to crank it to 10 then drop it down. Others say give it 15-20 at the temp you plan on using.

Definitely looking forward to experimenting and trying out all the good advice I've been given so far.

Also I guess I should mention I purchased extra basket screens as well as a 14mm GonG. Figured if I liked the unit, and it gained daily driver status, I'd upgrade to some of the nice Joda glass accessories. Really dig the looks (and idea) of the carbed GonG.

IMO, cranking it to 10 will preheat it slightly faster, but if you forget it is on 10 the unit may get too hot or you may forget it is on 10 and take a draw. I now leave mine on 6 to preheat.

Indeed, doesn't matter if you pump up to 10 and then drop it down to your desired temperature (just give it a few minutes to adjust to the lower temperature, otherwise you'll scorch your load!). The key is to ensure the log feels nice and warm to the touch. I actually enjoy mine when it's heated to temperature - makes for a great handwarmer on these cold mornings!

If it still feels cold/room temperature on the exterior of the wood, let it sit for a bit longer - preheating makes all the difference.

I personally leave mine running all day long, turned down to 4 when not in use, and then I crank it up to 6.5 several minutes before my session.

Looks like you have a sweet looking Joda stem poking out of your nano in your av. How do you like it? It looks awesome!

edit: also meant to ask, aside from aesthetics, is there any improvement on the Nano's function with one?

Hey WB. A carbed gong is supposed to prevent blowback with bongs. The straight stems are just cool looking.

The carbed GonG is essential for me because it allows me to clear the chamber without having to remove both the E-Nano and the GonG with my right hand sidee my left is holding the bong. Andy should offer one, but it's also nice to leave a market segment open for other artisans to fill.

Love my JoDa stem, just wish it was longer. It is a very short vapor path.

The JoDa stem lets me place the screen deeper than stock stems, so I can fit a tiny bit more.
