When I changed mine it just friction fit in, no glue needed.

As an aside, during my "repair" the power light got disabled, so my E-Nano is a bit unique 😉 .
I wouldn't trust just friction. And if your light got isable from the repair, you've probably somehow disconnected the wiring of the light.

iirc it went it perfect and it won't move. Much better than the original that broke. Didn't want to mess with glue, and it didn't seem as if it had even been used by Epic. And yes, I understand the light wiring is messed up. I tried to connect it but couldn't get it to work.

i guess i' could try that at least, it is not holding in place very well by friction by itself, but I haven't tried screwing the base back in yet, that could squeeze it in solid

But still I would really like to have some official answer what glue they used there, it felt like superglue when i was breaking the old one out (it wass really hard to get it out, had to break the plasticaway bit by bit with various tools, so glad I did spare the wood of any collateral damage). I'm still a bit apprehensive about not using any glue at all, given the shape oif the base, it will surely be impossible to push the socket inside the wiring cavity once reassembled, but I'm not ruling out pulling the socket out if you pull the cord out with enough force.

@cannasoor thanks for the reply, it really seems hard to reach them for some reason, i've been trying for maybe over a month to no avail - I've emailed them, I've tried to DM them here, I've also posted in both theads for XL and OG nano.
All I want to do is to repair the two old nanos i have to the best of my ability so I could sell them with clear conscience (I am disclosing the fact that I have repaired them), and then buy a fresh new XL - I'm not going to buy it before I successfully sell both of these (I already put a classified ad for the one I already repaired and sadly so far noone responded, so I'm going to price drop it).
I'm an European, so I'm afraid to call US numbers because that might be very expensive or something, especially since I still use a mobile credit system whcih is more expensive per call, but cheaper for guys like me who don't use the phone very often.

Hey @Seek, did @ACE OF VAPE get your questions answered? No pressure, but if you can pop us a confirmation, it's helpful to people reading the thread in the future (“Hi, future people!”) to see that your issues got resolved.

Thanks!

(By the way, I almost called down to Epic myself on your behalf, but our house phone keeps track of calls for months, and I know that because my wife sometimes checks in my presence … *sigh*.)

Re E-Nano relevance: had some delicious Marionberry Kush in my E-Nano last night, absolutely wonderful. Been changing up my session plans lately, experimenting with bigger steps (0.4 and 0.5 rather than just 0.3 all the time). This can lead to shorter (= not ridiculously long ) session times … but probably still a bit slow for most people here. I think the Mb Kush run was something like {4, 2, 2, 1} at temps {5.3, 5.7, 6.1, 6.5}, where each number is that many "stops" of 6 hits each, and about 15 secs per hit. So I guess that's … uh … /calculates … 54 hits and a total draw time of roughly 13 minutes. Not quite "greased lightning", but I'm workin' on it … .

Hey @Seek, did @ACE OF VAPE get your questions answered?
Yes, i got an answer about the glue: "I use CA glue, also known as super glue." ... so as I suspected I should be ok using a normal cheap superglue - i can walk to buy that 200 meters away from my home.
But I guess I might need to ask for the other glue that hold the 6 little feet on the base because by removing them multiple times to take off the base, the glue weakedned and now they tend to fall off. That glue certainly is not a superglue, but something softer.

The cork feet use double sided tape. You can use any glue you have handy. Contact cement would work great. We will soon be offering some spare parts on the website. We will probably include the feet.

Update to my repair jorney.
So I went through and CA glued my homemade socket replacement that I cut and piled into a viable shape, can't move it, reinforced the inner outsides with a bit more CA for foor measure, I'll keep it on open air for a couple days to harden before I put the base back on.

...Also if anyone wants to get an old E-Nano (a different older one) in EU I've just posted an offer in classifieds.
But will also probably offer this E-Nano later when I'm finished putting it back together, all funds raised will be used to buy a new XL Nano.

Hi Seek, did you sell the nano? If not how much were you selling it for?

Thanks

I need a new power cord for my classic Enano as I believe it to be faulty, but I live in the UK so buying it from the official website ends up being quite costly with shipping and potential tax. Anyone ever bought a none official one from for example AliExpress? Guess it's just a regular light switch dimmer but having trouble finding something similar.

Hello people! Im from the EU and i have a couple of questions:
-how much power the transformer needs? 50, 70, 100W?
- does the simrell e-nano work with the old e-nano?

Loving the enano, but I am a bit concerned about all of the particle build up and knowing I'm inhaling a lot of plant particles. Yes I know it's still way healthier than the alternatives, but has anyone here came up with a stoner hack like a screen or something to catch those particles and prevent them from being inhaled? I use the fixed glass stems.

You might want to try the adjustable stems, with the SS screens, then, as they are a much finer “mesh”. Of course, you could push one of those SS screens down into the upper part of the glass-screen stem, but it would be a bit redundant. Plus, it would give you a chance to try changing screen distance.

Regarding inhalation of plant particles: well, if you’ve done yard work in a pollen-y Spring without a mask, you’ve probably inhaled a lot more. (But I am not a botanist, nor a pulmonologist, or even a backyardologist, so take that with a grain of salt (… but don’t inhale the salt …) .) ;)

Any reason why my E-nano might not be heating up after 2 years of being unplugged and in a drawer? The light still goes on, and it worked the night it was put away. @ACE OF VAPE

NVM... it started to warm up (after about 20 minutes) pretty quickly, RIGHT after this post. Guess it was just asleep. Lol

Not sure what % of them get caught, but a little wad of hemp fiber catches a visible amount of particles. It also get sticky, and can be vaped later.
