That break can be fixed with a mini torch.
It can be replaced cleanly, as the part of the wand that slips on the Heat Port is not affected.
I wish I had it here ... I would torch it back together for you!
I have considered attempting this. Not sure if my propane torch will get it hot enough. Maybe I should borrow my buddies mapp torch and try it.

More torch than needed.
Propane is not even required!
Butane is plenty.
Too much heat will grab that whole pieces attention and melt it.
a mini torch or tiny jet "pen" torch will do the job.
The important thing is to use a torch that stays aflame without you holding a button.
The ideal torch would be the one on the right in this video.
The lighter on the left has a good enough flame when in torch mode.... but it must be held, so it is not appropriate.

You are super handy Vitolo!

I got these 14mm GonG adapters that came from Andy like this!
I love these.
They work so well.
I want to do my 18mm the same way.

My recently acquired E-Nano. It's a pretty badass device. Glad I picked one up!

I've been slacking. I've only had it in my possession for few weeks and I travel quite a bit for work. I didn't realize it was unique honestly. I bought it used and I'm not sure what wood it is. I'm a bit embarrassed that I don't know.
I like your saying: "Jack of all Trades Master of None"!
When I use to work I traveled the world.
Every region I traveled the engineers I met regardless of the language would say the same thing!

By the way the NANO you have is a work of ART!

You scored!

Can you elaborate a little bit?
Many years ago, I used a jet torch lighter to reconnect a broken glass rod, w/ very temporary success.. How do you get a decent Connection, that stays put together longer than a very short while?
I heated both pieces as hot as I could get them, and then mashed them together and kept heating.. but I don't think they were quite hot enough to create a strong enough bond..
I was using a pretty good size flame from a torch similar to the one you had in that^^ video... I had to redo it more than once too, since it would never last very long, so I figured it wasn't a practical solution and never tried again.. The rod was not very thick, but it was definitely thicker than the wall thickness of that glass tubing on the E-nano stem.. Maybe the rod was just a little too thick for a butane torch? It is very interesting to me that it could still work for thinner things.. Definitely something to keep in mind.. Thanks for bringing it up.

Thanks on both counts! It's good to know i picked up something special! I've always liked that saying. It's fairly accurate for me.

EDIT: I'm no engineer though......Haha

I know it sounds cheap but I was wondering if there were any deals for FC members on this vape... I really want it but do not have the cash flow.

It doesn't sound cheap at all, looking for deals before jumping into a purchase is good. There is an FC code, it gives you a free glass screened stem and free shipping I believe. The FC code used to give a pretty good discount but Andy stopped offering that.

I can't remember what the code is, PM @ACE OF VAPE or email epicvape about it... he might even reply to your post

You balance the small piece in place.... then go around and spot weld.. until it is attached well.
Look for gaps/cracks.
if the seal, all the way around is imperfect... get another small piece of glass like a dabber, and heat it well... and touch it around the joined spot you created (heating it also).
Work a small spot at a time....
re heat where needed.. while the glass is glowing red hot, it is soft and can be worked.

My Nano is 'Out for Delivery' so I'll be using it in a few hours from now but I had a question about loading whole nugs.
Why is it better to use whole nugs with the Nano?
I understand that using a whole nug wouldn't slow down the airflow like it would if you were to grind it up first but does the load still get vaped evenly?
Are you supposed to break it up after the first few hits with the pic and give it a stir??

Whole nugs seem to increase flavor noticeably IMO. I end up grinding the load down after the first few hits anyway to achieve an even roast. Ground or whole, the nano will roast 'em good.

The nano is quite possibly my favorite vaporizer. If I was on a budget and could only afford one desktop vape....It would more than likely be this one. Simple, powerful, efficient and effective.

What setting should I start with?
And will drawing too slowly cause you to scorch/combust your load like it does with a DBV?

I only use water paths and do so at 7.5 on the dial. I've never combusted at that setting. Different strains and moisture content will require small adjustments up or down slightly. Half a point either way is more than enough IME.

Scorching happens to me when the load is packed a little too tightly, usually because I packed too much, or because I created a 'hot spot'. I ahhh 'rotate' the nano during the draw to help disperse heat evenly and eliminate any hot spots. (careful though, glass GonGs are glass)

It takes a little technique, but you'll have it down in a session or two....or right out the gate. The learning curve is minimal. If you already vape, the curve is basically non-existent.

That's good to hear, especially from somebody with such an extensive collection of heavy hitting vapes.

A really slow draw might cause your herb to combust but it would have to be at a high setting (above 8) and the bud would have to mostly spent and dry. After 7 months of daily use I finally combusted my herb the other day. Spent bowl, 8.1 setting, long session so the nano was HOT, and I was just drawing really slow. Its the only time its happened to me though. I've never combusted with an electric vape, I about shit a brick when I saw the eerie red glow coming from the Nano.

Whole nugs for flavor, ground for efficiency (I always use less bud this way) and clouds. If I'm going straight to a pipe I will do my whole session at 7.5, sometimes 8 with a comfortable but borderline fast draw. Whole nugs I've used up to 8.5 with success. If I'm going for a range of temps I start at 6 and end at 7.5 or 8. If you're taking big hits through a water pipe the Nano is going to get hotter than sipping through the stem.

Just play around with it, the learning curve is minimal.

Grind some and load.
Throw a ungrounded nug in on another session.

I do both!

See what you prefer?

Like others said, try both. Worst that will happen is that you'll get stoned! :ko:

I usually grind, but not too much. Stir and break up for a few more hits when it starts slowing down.

When I use whole nugs, I take a few good hits then dump into a dish and break up by hand when its nice & dry.

I usually set around 6.5 for dry tube, 7 - 7.5 for water. Have gone to 8.5 with no combustion. This works nice if you're trying to cloud up a good sized water piece.

Only time I have ever combusted is when I accidentally hit the dial and didn't realize it. 9.5 is definitely too hot! Keep an eye on this. Nothing like getting used to your setting and hitting accordingly, then having way more heat than you were expecting. Talk about your "cough to get off"!!! Once I was done coughing I was too stoned to care about it.
