I would highly suggest getting the adjustable gongs. Way more experimenting/customizing on the user end. If you had one last night I doubt you would of combusted !

I have a solo and have been planning to purchase an e-nano soon. Will it feel like an upgrade, or should I just stick with the solo?
@Bravesst, I know once you put your mind to it you'll find the way to get it working for you and soon be a nano master.
I like my portable lots, but use it little because the nano suits my needs better as a quick one hitter. What I lose in the way I use the nano is what I love about my protable - the ability to do low intensity vaping sessions (not just single hits) with the cooler temps. When I use the nano, I take myself one nice sized draw and let it last me for a while before heading back for a second. I've gotten through wonderfully with one hit (the nano hits). But usually get around to a second. And really like it when I can squeeze in a third before calling it a day.
Although yesterday I took a different approach. Set it at 6 (rather than the usual 6.5ish) and loaded a smaller bowl for a lower level effect. I was using a flower I hadn't used for a while and didn't want to over do it. I spread two single hits through the late afternoon/ early evening, then went back for a third after a while. Stirred and added a wee bit of fresh before hit 3. Worked like magic. A great day it was. Looking forward to some repeat action soon.
I had a solo (after an extreme for years broke down, and I had gone back to smoking). I didn't feel like it was really great as a portable, but soon discovered waterpipe usage. the e-nano is superior in every way for water usage; efficiency -- though close to a PVHEGoG Turbo Shorty --. airpath, even temperatures even during/after hit, taste. I haven't used it dry to comment, but I'm sure it's quite superior in that regard as well.I have a solo and have been planning to purchase an e-nano soon. Also, spend extra for exotic wood; if they're out of stock Snappo will ship (even nicer) wood blanks to EpicVape for your e-Nano. This is mine, which is an EpicVape store-option "Exotic Maple Burl". Much nicer to look at than an LED christmas tree in an aluminum case.Jon Do said:
Sounds like you have it all wired!Maybe that's part of my issue - never being a one-hitter, I like to take lots and lots of smaller sips. One sit and wait, I wind up forgetting to wait. I can sip my portable stem vapes and get 20 sips from a bowl. I used to roll nice fat, cigarette like doobs that burned for days. That was part of the process, actually vaping, I find it calming...
@CarolKing
We definitely have similar vape taste. I've missed you contribution lately to the AA and Solo threads. You advice is always credible for me, it was one of the reason I went with the nano. I am a heavier user than you, but that shouldn't make a difference. Practice makes perfect. I may mess with screen distance (it's their measurement now).
D020-D?I have the adjustable basket GonG and I get about 4 draws using my D020-D bubbler.
I can just about guarantee you wont regret it....the only vapes that ive used in my life are my solos,my underdog, and my nano......i dont think i can live without my nanoThanks for the thorough response Jon Do. Yeah, I have a crafty and a pen for portability. I'm using the solo with a bubbler almost always. Occasionally I'll grab my PVHES stem for a quick and easy dry pull. I've been eyeing the E-nano for way too long, just don't want to buy yet another $200 item I'll regret. I'm really betting I'll love it though.
Edit: Beautiful Burl!
Just so you know... when we had a second kitty in the house, I often would find my ENano laying on the floor, under the edge of the bed. You know your own pets best.First of all I would like to say thanks for all of the helpful replies. FC is definitely one of the best, most welcoming communities on the Internet.
I'm not too worried about the heat up time, and I'm sure I'll be happy with the nano. It is a bit unfortunate that the website is misleading. However, I knew about the turn it up to 10 technique from reading the beginning of this thread. I didn't plan on doing that anyways, at least at first, as I thought it seemed a bit silly to turn it up and then back down, not to mention the risk of forgetting to turn it back and accidentally combusting.
By reading the forum I knew vapes change a lot over the years. I noticed they mostly change for the better. I wanted to read more recent posts about it but I wanted to purchase a home unit soon, and I was also worried about them running out of stock on the beautiful fiddleback maple.
I figured if the performance was good enough for the early posters/beta testers it would be good enough to me, and I still believe that. I have modest needs, and didn't really plan on hitting it for about 5 minutes, maybe 10 after plugging it in. If I can get a couple tasty low temp hits and a decent mid temp hit or two in that time span I'll be happy.
I'd rather not leave it plugged in 24/7 for various reasons, including the fact that I have cats. Even if it was plugged in but not on (I'm not sure if that's even possible) I could see them playing with the cord and pulling it off a table. Maybe I'll feel more comfortable with that over time. I do plan on leaving it on while I'm at home and awake. Either way, I have my Atmos Boss to fall back on, although I don't think that will be necessary. I would like to ask exactly what you guys mean by peak performance, in regards to 30 minute heat up times.
I want to thank everyone again and I hope I haven't sounded too negative, I'm really excited about my purchase, and can't wait to do some intensive testing when it comes
Home alone, working the nano NOW.
Progress, having good luck with fixed stem. May wind up vaked for science!
EDIT
Fuck! I just took one of the biggest hits of my life!!! I may be getting this beauty down.
One word...
Over packing

It's official. I got it. Huge hits means i need less of them, son of a bitch, bigger hits than smoking!!! Monster amount of vapor. OMG
Win, win, win!!!
Warm wood iz good, makes a true diff.
Also just ordered an Ed blackwood nano stem - it will look like a little black top hat on this beautiful exotic walnut piece.
