taste buds
I just ordered an e-nano and I couldn't be more excited! I quit combusting a couple of weeks ago, and I only have experience vaping with a couple portable units, an Iolite and Atmos Boss which I was relatively pleased with but they certainly aren't big hitters and are set-temps. I should be in for a real treat. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more, great airflow compared to a portable or variable temp which I've never had the luxury of using. In my combustion days I did experiment with vaping in a standard glass pipe, you just hold a Bic lighter above the material so the flame never touches it. You vary the distance to adjust temp, it's far from precise, doesn't get huge clouds, and requires some finesse. That being said, I was able to coax some very tasty low temp hits with that method, with the benefit of an all glass vapor path. I've never matched that taste with a portable.
I'm looking forward to being able to take a couple low temp hits for pure flavor enjoyment before cranking it up to reach the desired effects. I use MJ for a couple of ailments, and it really helps to have a lower temp during the day, so I'm excited to do some experimentation and find the perfect setting for max relief of symptoms while still being functional. Then at night or when otherwise required I can set it higher. This is especially important as while my state is progressive in regards to medical use and even decriminalization, they are a bit backwards with the whole process of acquiring meds. It can be very difficult to consistently find my desired strains which have the most therapeutic effects. I believe variable temps will help a lot in this area.
Anyway, back to the nano. I did so much research and read about many different vapes, the more I read the harder it was to find one that I was happy with if that makes sense. Each style of vape is suited best for different uses and has its own inherent pros and cons. And then there is the issue of the different manufacturer's quality within each style of vape.
One of the main qualities that attracted me to the e-nano was the amazing design and workmanship, I purchased a fiddleback maple which looks great on the website. The koa that is on there but out of stock is just downright beautiful as well, I might have to pick one up if they become available again in the future. I'm not into plastic objects in general, especially something that's going to be heated to a high temp. That eliminated many options such as the VXC, among others. The fast heat up time was possibly the most important factor in my decision, and why I chose it over the UD. Second most important was to be a decently big hitter. I'm not necessarily going for massive clouds but I want to be able to medicate quickly if necessary. Other important factors were clean air path, reliability, and variable temps. The efficiency of log style vapes is a huge bonus. As I'm fairly new to vaping, the efficiency of even portable units is a big advantage over combustion. I've already cut my consumption in half while getting medicated more frequently. I have a feeling my nano will allow me to cut consumption quite a bit further, maybe in half again. If that's true, it will pay for itself in no time.
It's going to be a long wait till it gets here, but I'm reading the thread in the meantime, I'm up to page 16. I'm not sure I'll make it all the way through, it's almost frustrating reading about it while I'm waiting to use it lol. At the same time I'm sure I'll pick up some good usage tips along the way.
Sorry for the long rant, I guess I had a lot to talk about. I'll make sure to post some initial impressions when I get it, followed by a review.
