Just tried a couple of the suggestions. First I set the screen height with the epick (thanks @Walter Bishop). Then I loaded about .025 of yesterdays dry preground material and it just cleared the short end of the pick. I had the nano set at 7 and inverted for about a 10-second heat soak (thanks @Ratchett & @Snappo) before starting the hit slowly and then speeding up a bit. It ended up being about twice as long as the hit I'm looking for, but produced a beautiful and tasty cloud. I little stir and I got another hit about half as big. ABV looks perfect.
Now I know I can get great, tasty and effective hits. But I'll be doing a lot of testing to see if I can get closer to what I was looking for when I bought the nano. I do notice the effect is a bit different from my pure convection vapes so I'm guessing the 10-20 second heat soak probably means some conduction and more sedative effects as well.
I am getting big clouds, using my water tool, set at 7.00, using the E-pick to set the screen depth. This uses .05 grams. I've noticed that I get a much bigger hit using my water tool instead of the straight stem, I suggest you try it with water if you can.
