First post, just wanted to say that I really appreciate all the sage advice here, and especially the advice to get a nano. Been lurking for a while after picking up an Ascent on my own and being mildly dissatisfied, much, much happier with my nano & I expect that satisfaction level to go up even further with goodies on the way from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd. Had nothing but excellent customer service on my vape order and my accessory order.
Though I'm a bit of a vaping noob, I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on the dog vs. nano discussion, I went with the nano mostly because of the included dimmer. I get that the DC VVPS may offer finer control, but it's some level of hassle to go get it, and I wanted to leave the option open for concentrates and the nano seems to have power to spare on the heater, with most folks hovering only around sixish for flower & not even quite maxing out the dial for the concentrates.

Wow! It seems I did things backwards. picked up a Persei / Hercules as my first vape. 6 months later picked up a Nano (it arrived yesterday) holy cow! so much simpler!!! and it does both herb and concentrate.... truly impressed with how much vapor comes out of such a small quantity of herb!!

I noticed someone else finally got a response and replacement for the sub-par gongs. I sent an email to nadia@epicvape.com and no response. This is how it seems to go. Hopefully someone will see this.

My Maple Burl has arrived and it's spectacular! 
You hit it out of the park @ACE OF VAPE !!! Quickly noticed my old Nano doesn't fit the new GonGs but my new Nano fits both. 
Really digging the newer style cord, Im onboard the upgrade my old Nano program, any word on that front?
Using my OG Maple with the new Maple Burl and a cheap 18mm Claisen and the GB-187, wow this is just what I wanted! 
NAS is in full effect, how many is too many?
I know I'm nowhere near that limit, but I wouldn't mind being over it, that's for sure!
I'm floored by how quickly it arrived from across the country, it seems like I just ordered it yesterday!

Hey guys, what's wrong with the subpar gongs in this case? Recently ordered one that feels different, and am about to order more. Also still owed two sets of basket screens that have been missed twice!

My poor nano is in need of new glass. I still got my stem's that came with it over a year ago. I really wan't some that will fit both nano and Arizer Air.

I just experienced a surprise at 7.75. I first noticed a strange orange glow emanating from below the nano. It took a couple seconds to register what it was but I was finally tipped off by the sudden onslaught of harsh, nasty taste...Combustion! Blahhhh! ISO baths for everything.

Lol....It didnt really process initially. Question though. Are those two Gongs filled with flowers? The same type at least? Or is it a set of different flowers, or flowers in one and concentrates in the other. Just curious....It looks like it can be a spacey experience.

Now a another reason to justify owning two nano's. Haha that's brilliant. A power lead with one plug one dial and two nano sockets would be cool, as theres lots of cable with that set up.
But would like to see it go, got a video?
I've got a feeling my Ssv's days are numbered in this house and cocobolo nano is calling my name with one of those double nano glass pieces lol
