It even feels like it's designed not to get messy. I've been making all of my friends try it (I want them to buy vapes so they'll stop wanting to do combustion hits when I'm over :D) and a few times, they've lifted the stem off of the heater with the herb still glass side down (EDIT glass still herb side down.) Instead of falling all over the floor like just that heating element would, it gets caught in that like, 1-1.5 cm gap between the heater and the wood. From there I suck it right back into the stem. I don't know if that's on purpose, but it really makes me glad that I picked the nano over, say, the UD (no hate meant because I haven't tried it,) with which I might be a HAIR messier.

EDIT looking at UD's site and it looks like they're the same. i'd only seen the pictures of it that made it look like a series of progressively smaller cylinders. See below for what I meant.

Those are just channels carved into a single piece of wood. I'd assume you don't even need them and can request that your unit not have them.

Good to know, The evo was on my list of "someday vapes" once my VAS kicks back in. Sounds like I might skip it and wait for the next 'best thing'

There is no need for the next best thing unless you have alot of disposable income. The Nano cured my VAS which was pretty bad (over a dozen). lol The only other vape that would be required would be a portable.

I was going to get a EVO or a HERBIE however I'm afraid to be over medicated. The NANO is just right kind of like GOLDILOCKS!

I disagree. I think the Nano can over medicate the same, and more if desired. :)

I just think it's incredible to be getting $400-750 vaporizer performance for less than half! I also love having it on always! No shutoff timer like my old days.

The thing is.....i don't need another Nano, but I really WANT another Nano. So shit, is my VAS solved really?

The NANO kicks my A@@!
That's what I meant to write.
It's enough for me.
I agree with you actually and sorry if I'm unclear!

I think my favorite part about the nano is that a quarter becomes an ounce. The thing is so efficient compared to how I used to medicate that it's pretty much true.

Now I'm looking to get a custom cord. Something where the temp dial is closer to the unit, and maybe with a custom temp dial.... just need to find a skilled hobbyist friend ^_^

That's what I'm sayin'! 400% THC!!!

..... wait, what? :brow:

I, too, seriously want another Nano. Mine lives in the bedroom... great place, very handy, but I'd ALSO like one in the kitchen, the living room... balcony has EVO, but yeah, I could use a log there, too....

I really do prefer EVO oil hits vs Nano, but if I have to give up one of my babies, it ain't the Nano.

Does EpicVape run sales often- I don't think I am going to have the steadfastness to wait until 4/20 again!

I think I am sold, but funds for VAS and GAS is sooooo TIGHT!:(
Making this jump would very likely mean I have to part with my Plenty... there is a bit of sentimental value as it was the first vape I ever fell in love with, was my only vape for over one year when I started vaping, and is entirely responsible for me quitting combustion- very hard decision...

Edit- LOL I am so fucked up, I bitch about lack of hobby funds, yet I think I am going to invest extra for an exotic:doh:

Could someone say what VAS and GAS mean? I assume its about wanting to get something. Google didn't help much looking for a definition or acronym

Why wait - The few bucks you'd save on a 420 sale will be quickly made up by the incredible herb efficiency of the Nano. Sometimes you just gotta live for today!

LOL I want your slick exotic one! What heirloom wood did you use on your Nano and stem? They came out BEAUTIFUL!!!

Does EpicVape turn the exotic wood, or do you send your wood to Ed and then to EpicVape for Nano installation?

Any nano owners have a SSV or Vaporbrothers? How does the nano compare?

I have a SSV. With my standard SSV unit I can hold more material in a wand, thus pulling bigger clouds, but the nano is just more consistent clouds between hits, never overwhelming. IMO, the nano is more forgiving with draw speed.

If your looking for conservation, the nano can't be beat.

As far as form factor, the nano pairs with water so much easier and the dry stem is so simple to use. But for dry vapor and bigger chambered water pipes, I still prefer the SSV because the whip adds some distance for the vapor to cool off and the SSV wand can hold much more than a nano stem.

IMO, they make the perfect combo. I highly recommend both.

I have a question about the heating element on this thing, as I don't think I've ever seen a photo looking down into the unit. Is there something preventing the herb from touching the heating element when being used with a dry stem right side up, or do you just need to make sure your herb is packed well enough so it doesn't fall onto the element?

The heating element is a round ceramic cartridge heater. The only thing between it and the herb is a (stainless steel?) screen (the screen is by NO means fine) - herb can certainly find it's way between the tube and the heating element, but I find a good puff of air can typically blow out any excess debris. I also try to keep my nano upside down while in use to prevent any herb from possibly falling into the heating element.

I want a whip for my nano.

I'm thinking a little base to stabilise the nano then a gong with some silicon tubing over it. Any suggestions? I'm in the UK so getting high temp silicon isn't as easy for me as you guys over the pond, is there any other vape accessories that might fit the bill?

Cheers people

I'm glad you posted that Caligula. It will help explain where I need to clean. Sometimes I do make contact with the heater port against my grinded flower bed or even whole intact buds. Some of the little holes clog up occassionally but a quick sudden blow of air and it cleans out easy. Or, I simply use an iso qtip swab when the unit it cold and it cleans up perfectly.

The area that gets the most dirty is on the bottom equally around the heater port stem. The ABV dust collects and gets thicker and VERY sticky against that steel bottom. It takes a little bit of effort with ISO, and is very difficult around the groove around the port. I never get is 100% clean, but it's good enough that i'm happy with, again to satisfy my OCD. I would much rather maintain the Nano (its really nothing) compared to the Bamboo and ELBS of an EVO.

The Nano is something really special. I know some of you will shout fan boy, or this dude just loves logs and it's his first log. That is true, but what other log as such a simple power design....simply plug it in the wall, and adjust your dial. No VVPS or bulky transformers....just basic, quality, simplicity in vaping.

I kinda like how this unit isn't "mass produced" and distributed, no hype, promotional vids etc. and it's like our little cult following vape and company. Kudos ANDY!!!

biohacker...stop in a local office supply store, and purchase a can of compressed air -- usually used for cleaning keyboards and electronics. Turn your Nano upside down and shoot a quick blast of air inside the heat chamber and that ABV dust disappears like magic...no rubbing or scrubbing needed.
