. I switched from doobs and ciggies to a pax and e cigs. then many vapir products then you good people steered me to the nano. Vaping is almost non existent in my home town. Only other person I know that vapes is my window cleaner. He's a dedicated volcano head. I'll have him in to try the nano next time he's round @Seren I am interesteted in an African Blackwood stem as that's what my bagpipes are made of. They're fully ivory mounted tho so I don't think ed could do what I had in mind. My bagpipes are old so I didn't kill no heffalumps. They were my great granddaddy. Might see if imitation ivory has improved and see if Ed could turn 3. A fat long one for The bass drone and 2 smaller for the tenor drones. Pity I suck at art. Oh yeah drones are the bits that sit on your shoulder when playin the pipes. HeheI use mine dry every time too @fregglepops - I love my all glass stems, and my blackwood stem from Ed's TnT. Before switching to vaping I hadn't regularly used bongs or buckets in years - it was doobies for me - so hitting it dry was almost a straight switch I guess. I absolutely love the flavour my E-Nano produces.
. That's kinda the impression I got skimming this mahoosive thread. I kinda thought dry vaping with a nano was much rarer than it is? Is it just that adding a whole bunch of stuff like gongs etc just throws up problems dry vapers don't encounter? That being said can anyone point me in the direction of an inexpensive bubbler for use with nano?Wow. I'd thought most were using water. Being discrete with glass isn't really an issue for me most of the time, so a rinse and refill is all I usually have to do to prep. And, don't have to worry about dumping, cleaning and putting it away after. Do agree it's quicker and easier to just use the stem, though.
I've been playing with using a bit of cotton for reclaim, and that's what really got me thinking more about dry use. Kind of concerned about cotton in the GonG close to water with humid warm weather setting in. The thought of crap growing in it is very unappealing!
Cotton does make the stem not quite as harsh and seems to be picking up particles that I hadn't even realized were there (other than a few specs up the stem). Haven't really built up enough reclaim to vape it yet, so not sure I'm sold on it, but plenty of info in this thread for any who might be interested: Vaping with Cotton .
Don't know if the whole buzz is different with glass vs dry, but it does seem to come on a little different. Must admit that the dry seems to regulate me more and definitely is more intimate (right word?) with the nano & the meds. Through a bubbler it's easy to just keep going and going into oblivion, or until the dish is empty.
I will. Seriously. I've been looking at options and thinking about drawing something up - it isn't my talent, though.I am REALLY enjoying my Nano with a j-hook. I add just a bit of water to the hook to give it a nice 'purr' (I've you've never tried a bit of water in a hook, try it!)
And I've just finished making a working prototype j-hook stand to keep it upright when refilling/loading my GONG stem, making the j-hook much easier to set down when loaded with water (watch my store, I'll be listing the stands for sale soon).
Yes! I like to shove in a nugget and jab it multiple times with my ssv poker, get a nice big hit. Then I take it out and crumble up and hit it dry again. I also love my pipes dry as well as h20, variety is the spice of life, get in the water is warm.So funny.... was just hitting my nano dry with joda stem, and thought about asking how many use it dry more often. Rarely do that myself except in special situations like tasting a new stash, or out & about. Here's @jimbob talking about it and a newb nano-er right behind him! First time I've sat and played with it for a while. It does bring out the flavor! Even managed to get one of those bingo! hits. Very nice.
So just for shits & giggles, how many people hit their nano dry at least as much as through water?
Myself, I'm thinking I should do this more often.

Don't you just love the love for the nano! With water, without, whole nugs, ground ..... whatever the method, everyone seems to get a great deal of pleasure from this simple but beautiful vaporizer.
A happy Nano Nation are we!
I'm with those people on the dry front. Call me stupid. Quite often, when people talk of bubblers I hear them say 'I can get bigger hits'. What do people mean by this? Surely, the size of the hit depends on a person's lung capactity? Since the thc vapor in a bubbler is less concentrated, wouldn't it make more sense to say 'I get smaller hits? I guess it's another way of saying that your lungs can't take very much dry? Have I got that right?
