Does anyone use an additional screen in their adjust-a-bowl stems? I find a lot of small particles get through the basket screen that's in there already.

Sorry I was unclear, I meant the stem using a dry path.

Hmmmmm... that's a bit trickier. Do you grind your material? If so, try grinding a little less or use "mini nugs" without grinding.

Second screen will work, just not sure if it will be enough. Two screens of the same mesh spaced apart will hold back a lot more than you'd think, especially once the second one gets a little gunked up with vapor goo. So, it will probably work a lot better after a dozen sessions or so without cleaning than when you first put it in.

If you still run into issues you could put a small piece of organic cotton in the mouth end of the stem, far enough away that if it slides a little bit you won't pull it into your mouth. This will probably create a bit more restriction, but reclaim from the cotton is a breeze. Just turn up the heat and stick it in the other end once it gets gold and sticky.

My personal favorite fix would be to get some water in your path! A small bubbler or ashcatcher with sherlock will catch any fine particles in addition to cooling vapor. Downside is that water diffusion = loss of flavor. IME the more diffusion the less taste, but the right perc and slower/smoother draws can lessen this quite a bit.

Also, most bubblers or ashcatchers add more volume to what you breathe in vs a straight stem and that equals less flavour (and potency) as well.

Any long standing orders get a shipping notice for today yet? Fingers still crossed. I have high hopes this is the day.

@steama - I thought you already had yours. Hope it gets to you real soon. Think you'll be very pleased!

After you give it a few runs, be sure to check out this classic nano vid from @Caligula . Yeah... it all seems kind of obvious to an experienced vaper, but watch it and pay attention to material close to heater and lower heat. I'd been nano-ing for almost a year, and this tutorial was still a game changer!! Once you find the perfect sweet spot for your nano, your set-up, your particular blend and the right screen level for your preference it will blow you away.

Not really just to you, but thought about this earlier and IMO everyone with a nano owes it to themselves to give this a good look and unleash the true power of the nano to deliver nice clouds with excellent taste that will knock you square on your ass.

Thanks again to Caligula! You've done some awesome vids, but think this one is still my favorite.

Yeah I might just put an extra basket stem in there to catch what's coming through. I find this vape is best with mini nugs so I've been using that mainly and also experimenting with some different grinds. But even nugs after I stir it and they're broken down I get some little pieces that make their way down the stem. An extra screen should fix it.

I did just get the infamous d020 bubbler and have been enjoying that, but sometimes I just want to use the stem. Also I've watched tons of the vids on here and my bubbler just will not get filled with milk unless the dial is 8 or above. And even then only sometimes. I will be getting vapor though as I will feel the effects.

Only in my dreams. It is a joke at this point. Am I being punished? (April 6th)

Ehhhhh... shit happens. You'll soon forget once it gets there. I jumped on the nano bandwagon either a few days too late, or a couple months too early depending on how you look at it. Ordered just after the very first few were produced and missed them. Waited a couple months while some issues with vendors/heaters/etc got sorted out. A sometimes painful wait that taught me a few lessons on patience (that have served me well also!). Needless to say, Andy made it all good and the my love for the nano started the day I got it and has grown since.

Check that video I linked above from Caligula. And, upgrade your stash if possible. Through water mine milks pretty good at 6.5. 7 is dangerous, and I never hit 8. Some day I hope to find some good concentrates and take it higher (damned non-MMJ state!!), but until then 8-10 are about as useful to me as the 11.

Thank you sir!

You're very welcome, but please don't do that. Thank you's should all be going in your direction. Your vids, tips & techniques ROCK! ps... nice new avatar. Still a little bummed bad finance timing prevented me from swooping in on that piece before you got it. Looks like a winner and glad to see it found a good home!

just saw your blurb under it and still laughing!

What a FUCKING a joke at this point. I am being punished. I PAID I think I earned the right to play — duh. Isn't that the way it works? I'm pissed off now. (April 6th)

Patience....ah yes, patience....i've been patient for a while now. At what point do you have to act on the patience? With paypal it's 45 days. You are correct and I would like to reiterate....do not buy from Epicvape unless you are very patient. Your patience will be tried.

So I just upturned my screen to work like a basket instead of a dome and it is much better IMO. Seem to get better extraction?!

Thanks for the tips people!

Interesting....and confusing....why would it matter?

Interesting....and confusing....why would it matter?

I know for me the screen as a basket gives me an extra few mms of room to fit more material. With the screen domed the edges where the screen touches the glass get caked with resin + ABV dust, and the heat just goes through the middle. Always had better success with the SSV with my screen as a basket too.

For some reason I'm getting the best extraction from my pinched stem and GonG. The pinch seams to provide a bit of back pressure that gives me more thorough extraction, at least at the lower heat settings. I'm not much for high heat vaping, taste terrible to me and burns my throat. It could be I've spent more time with this glass though and results carry over from stem to GonG, IDK. Loving my nano though, haven't used any of my other vapes all week, trying to conserve.

I think this is the exact reason. Also with the herb in the basket the diameter is ever so slightly less so I seem to get the edges of the load more evenly cooked :)

I ordered on Sunday night and by Friday it was at my porch?

Do you live on the West Coast?

My nano took quite a while to get to me too and the stem I ordered took even longer. I live on the east coast, so my guess is that USPS is at fault here and is out of Andy's control.

Good point. I was also thinking the screen is made from SS, so it has more heat conduction. Surrounding your material with a metal could cause an oven like effect, giving you more of a conduction vaporization along with convection, kinda like how the Solo does.

This was a year ago.

Did it change?

I ordered accessories since and less than a week I received them?
It's my favorite plug in vaporizer!

Are you talking about the same company?

EPIC!

I ordered my e-nano and it arrived around 7 days later to the UK. I don't think anything has changed too drasticly. He forgot to include a stem in my package but that arrived ~4 days later not including bank holidays.

So are these basket screens the be all and end all or is it better perhaps to use a flat screen?

When I originally bought the enano, people on here were saying the all-glass gongs and stems were better than what was originally sent with the enano, and now people are saying that the adjustabowl stems and gongs are the best. Can I ask, what were the first (original) stems and gongs like?
