For the last few months, I've really been pushing my temps right to the point before combustion. For my setup, that's been around 7.25-7.5. We were scorching some loads the other day, so we decided to run it at 6-6.5 for a while. WOW. I'm still impressed, but it's been a while since I ran it this cool. I think it's staying this way!

New glass day means double barreling tonight.

I feel like mines been running cooler lately for some reason. I'm having to use it at 8 dry and 9.5 through water. But, I'm between crops right now and am down to only 2 strains in the jars so maybe it's strain related. I'm not getting close to combustion though even up on 9.5. Maybe it's in my head. Idunno.

I can't combust very easily with my old Nano but my new one could with no issues. The old one used to be able to do that with ease. It still vapes way past what I enjoy though.

Very soon I am going to send my May 2013 model for a refurb. I have put it though hell.

I look at it this way:

Well cured flowers = 6.5
Excessive Moisture = 7.0 and higher
Yeah id like to see if mine needs a refurb but I bought it in the classifieds here so I don't know if Andy will back it up or not.
Andy tuned mine up and it's perfectly tuned.
Another thing I noticed is I plug in to it's own electrical socket free of a power strip.

These are very well cured but they are both very dark purple high terpine strains. They tend to vape a bit differently than my others. To me anyways.

You can add a silicone piece to the end of the stem, that way, it will seal the airflow between the stem rim and the OD of the SS heating chamber…

Is that safe?

Some of these hoses(not specifically silicone) rated 500+ °F by the manufacturer actually start pyrolysising(off gassing?) at lower temps(392 °F). If the Nano can reach temps of 460 °F & the hose is touching the heating bowl....

I'm not an expert, which is why I'm asking?

I used to do that silicone thing. Then I realized the silicone started breaking down and even melting and nearly attaching to the gong. I stopped putting it up to the end of the gong after that. To combat the heat on the gong, I did leave silicone on the lower part to facilitate grabbing it hot (not that it really helped much). I found even the heat from the glass will eventually cause it to transform and stick to the gong. It seems like it laminates it almost....

I'm no expert, but I don't put silicone near the roasting ends anymore.

I will admit this; I leave the Nano on my gongs way too long and too often. It probably gets wayyyyy hotter than it needs to be.

Nice! What's the glass!?

Thanks! It's a recycler I got at Stashe N' Stowe, a pipe shop in Stowe, VT. It's an east coast artist; Eron I think. IMO it functions better than most other recyclers I see around. Instead of slopping the water down into the second chamber it shoots it around a corner into the second chamber putting a spin on it and making that beautiful cyclone. In that video I have my winter sun lamp illuminating it. That's where the trippy blue light is from lol

@breathe I could see a small vacuum running it non stop just to watch, thats really cool. Is that swirling function called something or is it just a very special piece. I really like that, thanks for posting.
