I have to fly internationally and want to take a dynavap along. I see it as the easiest way to take a vape through the TSA/customs. I plan on cleaning it thoroughly in iso and switching out the o rings, but wanted to ask about the cap. I think it has been suggested to not soak the cap in iso for long periods of time? Looking for the best way to clean a cap so there isn't any residue to be detected. Thanks

Im gonna counter as someone who has traveled with many-a-vape both new and used, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

On my last intl flight I brought some used bangers, some new bangers, a new puffco, a glass bowl, a new bowl for my ZX, two XLR hot coils, a whole bag of terp pearls.

As always YMMV;
If you’re that concerned maybe just leave the cap behind.

It's recommended not to use iso on the cap in case any iso gets trapped between the click discs
So you want to make some effort to fully dry it out out if you do use iso to clean the cap

Can you tell me if there is a difference between the "M Plus" and "M7 XL" tips in terms of internal volume? which one is bigger and by how much?
I believe M7 is dynavap’s standard size of ~0.05/0.1g and the M+ is a little bigger at around ~0.06/0.11g. Marketing materials say the M+ is about 12% deeper than the usual DV tip.

Or did you mean actual internal dimensions rather than the marketed herb capacity?

Yes, I was referring to the capacity of the bowl, thank you very much for the information!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Thanks for the advice on the international flight. I think if I do consider taking one, I would just buy another cap. It is a shame because they claim vapes are fine for flight. I understand that means tobacco vapes, but a completely clean dynavap easy looks like a tobacco vape. I'll probably be too scared now and just go empty handed. The other shame is even with getting access to hash or weed over there, my only option would be to smoke it.
It might be a long T-break after all. Again, thanks everyone.

Hmmm, the tip looks similar to mine actually IMO. I see the same rough unfinished look with marks in the sidewall grooves. Maybe they just did some batches like that. Unfortunately Dynavap told me to go ask the place I bought it from and have not responded to my request for comment on my pictures. No response from Element Vape yet either.
Dynavap got back to me. They agree that my Vong tip doesn't look right and are sending me a new one. They gave me a return label to send in the original also. Still haven't heard anything from Element Vape. Probably won't be buying from them again. :shrug:

I've been giving my DVs a little bit more love lately because I was after that quick micro dosing hit more often. I'm quite impressed with how I've been enjoying myself lately. My favorite setup is Ti VonG with wooden sleeve / VonG tip / Half bowl / low-temp cap / FMJ. I get surprisingly flavorful hits native or quite some clouds on empty small rig.

The wooden sleeve has a rather funny story behind it. It was made by katmandude from supposedly 7000-year-old Czech bog oak. I find it mind boggling that a tree was resting somewhere in my country for thousands of years just to be sent to the US. Then it was acquired by a fckin talented dude who turned it into a beautiful part of weed paraphernalia and sent it back here. But it might be just me, I enjoy these little things, especially when high :ninja:
