ed's wpa says it only fits titanium tips and not ss (which i don't understand) and i already have m's and stuff. just looking for either a wood or glass stem for my MJ arsenal. it's looking like i might be stuck getting another bb6 or a bb3...

Same here, ended up with a BB3 for my 10mm rigs. The STUPID BALLS that never move after the first dose of vapor resin, and in my larger BB9’s (RETIRED), those balls on top and bottom are physically STUCK. Then I add a silicone hose sleeve to kill the open airport. While I’ve posted my distain for these overpriced non functional ball BB’s many times before... I ended up buying the BB3, as there is not much love for 10mm fans.. and DV had the 420 sale, so it came with a colored titanium tip. At least with the tiny BB3 there are LESS STUPID BALLS!

Half filling a full bowl gives better extraction compared to a CCD set at the 50% because the air in front of the load gets nicely heated adding some extra convection to the usual conduction. YMMV.

If you want to stick with SS tips I’d ask @Ed's TnT if he has time to make you a WPA that fits the tips you have. Otherwise it might have to be a BB since I think all of the other glass WPAs I’ve seen have just been 14mm.

Edit: I just looked up the piece you’re talking about and I see he wouldn’t be able to make a custom version for you, unless he’s up for making you a wooden WPA with a 10mm connector?

Thanks for reminding me about the graduated connector on the BBs. The new Vong works with 14 and 10mm too, and I’ve actually made use of both so I’m happy with the feature on that one.

I agree. I just went through the order process and checkout told me shipping to Victoria Australia for this teensy tiny thing will be $19 which brings the total cost to $52 … so in light of this ridiculous cost I emptied my cart and closed the page.

Oh, I saw that you get 2 $.10 tiny metal rings for $36... I actually cut and pasted it from the SP website! If there were any "fairness" at all, it would be the inclusion of Ti CCDs...

Like so many before I’ve struggled to set the CCD in half position and gave up. Now I don’t have to and can enjoy the device the way I like.

I'm glad you found a solution that works for you (and DVs inherent design flaw ), truly!

I’ve tried putting less in but it’s not the same as when it’s more tightly packed.

Try tamping gently with a 6p 'box' nail head, like I do.... works a treat for a nice even tamp.

Consider this accessory the way many of us do with other choices: get it if you want or wait for something else that strikes your fancy.

I've never had a problem rationalizing the things I want in life... but thanks for the advice...!

Different solutions, converging to a similar result, boys.

For a 1/2 full bowl (or half empty), my take is to use
A small (1/4”) wood dowel, tamp gently, take a toke,
or two.
—& back to dreamland. YMMV

No Ti was shaved in the process, and the presence is now.
Life is full of solutions.

I think DV would do well to offer a half-depth tip. Mine is working wonders for true one-draw extraction for a fine-grind bowl using real-time heating with the HotShot.

I’ve always had solid results with just packing the load I want and giving it a light tamp to hold it until a heated draw tightens it up.

That said, I feel like a spacer is a solution that just about Dremels itself, esp. a length that fits just under an adjustment notch.

Yup, and that's what it will take ftmp if history holds true... how long did it take to start offering condenser-less glass bodies with a gong attachment (@DDave), or IHs (and not even theirs) etc...? And again, with portable temp sensing IHs on the horizon, thus making the legendary, copyrighted "caps" existence finite (to a degree), unless you're producing pure art, or other less technical wares, I'm afraid willing Luddites and personal philosophies aren't long this world. People in the Dynaverse want options and will go elsewhere if necessary.

At this point, the Dynaverse will evolve with or without DynaVap.

Some 14 male to 14 male adapters work as a wpa for dynavap tips.
You fit the tip inside of the joint on one end and the other plugs into the piece.
So if you have a 14 male to 10 male that might work the same way.

It all depends on the inside diameter of the joint on the adapter. The one I’m using fits better in one end than the other, and I’m sure there are some adapters that wouldn’t fit at all.
I have also used a “popper” bowl piece as a wpa . That was very inexpensive compared to some other popular dyna to bong adapters, but it didn’t last long before it broke.

Also neither of these two options have an airport.....is that a deal breaker?

Obviously being able to test the fit of the tip to the adapters inside of a brick and mortar shop would be ideal. That is what I did and it took a few tries to find one I liked. I realize that might not be easy or even possible depending on where you are located.

I solved my 10mm WPA problem with a 10mm male to 14mm male. Pricetag was 5 bucks at the head shop. I got it free because I spend too much time there lol.

I had completely forgotten how well the dynavap works natively without touching the air port at all. I've just come off a three month break, so I now have baby lungs that can't really handle the big hits at the moment, so last night I thought I might try not closing the air port and hauling on it as hard as possible like I usually would. Still got good clouds and a two cycle extraction with my Ti woody without giving myself a coughing fit! Very nice.

I always use a the half bowl setting in my 20M (and Ti tip), and I normally use my M natively w/ the airport open & feather it towards the end of the hit. Just tried this with my 14mm j-hook and 14/10mm reducer w/ the M (leaving the airport open the entire hit)...what in the fuck!!! Some of the biggest, most ginormous clouds I've pulled from any VC I've owned.

It's funny, b/c I'm looking down at the j-hook the whole hit, and it's wispy as fuck! And I'm not feeling much in the way of vapor shootin' down my gullet (smoooooth!!), then BAM!!! upon exhale. I've been looking for a small water piece for my Dyna's the last couple weeks. Not no more! This is the way for me.

You would think after buying several more Dynavaps I'd lose the itch, but nope, still want to find it. Mark my words fam, I will return one day with a success story on finding it. That’s how I run it as well, but yesterday I was bored and taped off the airport, and it was perfect that way for a friend of mine who tends to runs out of breath too fast when vaping. That combustion lung capacity!
