Pobre payaso
A lot of people have been asking what else to get when buying your first Vapcap . Here's a pic of what I ended up getting.

1-Obviously my VC M
2-Stainless steel CCD (Filters)
3-SS Condenser O-Rings
4-High temperature o-rings
5-Fat mouthpiece- for 14mm WPA's
6-Dynawax- For lubricating O rings, polishing wood, etc.
7-Degummed hemp fiber- Many uses including @Squiby filter
8-Triple flame lighter torch
9-Pipe cleaners
10-DynastashER Wenge
11-Dynastash Cedar- A gift from DV :)

You can get a DynaKit Maintenance kit that includes many of the things listed. You can add or subtract to this list to fit your needs.

Hope this helps somebody

You have a crazy collection girl, are you talking to them sometimes maybe? :p I adore that Damascus VonG!!!

About the engravings... I didn't know they were stopped for the time. I destroyed mine unfortunately and I didn't even have any photos of it before I ruin it. It was the first Yin-Yang design that DV got from me and then I saw it on other cups too, a little enlarged maybe... There was some blackening cause of the heat and some burnt lint that I tried to clean as well and it got worst. It didn't clean well with the green pad for the dishes so I tried removing it with some very fine (2000grit) sandpaper. Due to the fact that the surface wasn't completely flat, this happened before I manage to clean the main part of the engraving. Opened like a can of beans!

CMtNP1D.jpg

I underestimated the abrasiveness of the sandpaper and overestimated the thickness of the cap! :p:lol: RIP Tao cap! :ko: Using the cap from my old woody now and it has even better airflow so not bad after all! :D Already ordered a new cap though, not engraved. I don't think I will engrave any more caps to be honest. While beautiful to look at, I didn't look at it most of the time, just like I don't often look at my Yin Yang tattoo on my back... :p
Since the cool down click is forcing small herb paticles to pop out of the cap ,
then what one sees when looks inside the cap ,is the Low Expansion Side of the
first of two bimetallic discs .
That means that the markings " TO -J3 -D? " are on the High Expansion Side .

One important note about bimetallic discs and their LES or
how to destroy your cap's clicker(s):

THE EFFECT OF FLEXIVITY TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE ON MATERIAL SELECTION
Most LES materials exhibit a phenomenon known as the “Invar Effect”.
The Invar Effect is the near zero thermal expansion that occurs in some materials.
The Invar Effect occurs below the materials Curie temperature.
The Curie temperature is a specific temperature for each material
defined by the material’s atomic structure at which the material
changes magnetic permeability.
Above the Curie temperature, a phase transformation occurs which
changes the material’s magnetic permeability from ferro-magnetic
to para-magnetic. The changes in crystallo-graphic orientation, energy,
and entropy that occur as the Curie temperature is approached cause
LES materials to lose their low expansion properties.
Above the Curie temperature, LES materials have rates of thermal expansion similar to typical steel. Therefore, LES materials must remain ferromagnetic and be used below their
Curie temperatures to maintain their low expansion characteristics.
The commonly defined Curie temperature for standard Invar (Fe-36Ni) is 230°C.

Wow you sure went all out!
My first order looks similar..

1x Dynavap M
1x magnet

... ok not quite as similar ...

So if I'm reading this correctly:

After a Curie, use LES material or you'll go ferro?

Got it!

Will 24 hours in the ISO soak be enough to remove the damage from the accidental combustion? Or will it need 3 days?

Dont want to leave it too long since the o-ring and rubber mouthpiece are all in the soak

My Mind Is Free
Got a little something in the mail today!
Kept an M and gave the other M and my glass OG to my brother and a friend.

Been test driving her all day, and so far it is night and day difference between the glass OG I had and this new M. I don't have to do much more than pull on it like a joint, I don't feel like I'm going to hyperventilate if I hold the carb, (compared to my glass OG which was just ridiculously restricted.) and the vapor is just way more voluminous. Haven't had any combustion issues from the first try.

I am starting to believe that the performance seems to vary depending on which VC you have. Anyways, really liking the one I have now, and will make it a main driver for a while, really get a feel for the device.

Little VC porn allotment:

Definitely don't forget to swab out all the pieces initially, I picked up a fair amount of gunk, especially inside the body and the condensers:

I'm to impatient for all that. 4 iso pads and a tooth pick and I get it clean as a whistle and good to go in under 10 minutes. Actually put a couple toothpicks in that tiny hole in the dynastash for on the go clean ups.

I'm not a big fan of ISO, unless really needed. I strongly favor the "least intrusive/ least likely product for negative side effects"
I cleaned mine spotless with DAWN dishwashing detergent and hot water rinses. Maybe add a little lemon juice to help with the bad smell?
NOTE-after brush thru with Q-tips to get any big stuff.

When I do use ISO, it 's never for more than 5-10 minutes and thorough rinses after. Their are hundreds of plastic/rubber "compounds" and reviewing a chart for their "ISO resistance", some are listed as do not react, but others:
Common phrase for different plastics was :
  1. but prolonged exposure may cause crazing or stiffening.
Rubber - most rubbers are probably resistant to alcohols, but prolonged exposure will cause loss of elasticity

So, personally, I avoid any exposure and when necessary go with minimal exposure to alcohol. Use the right tool for the right job :)

So I can't find my fat MP, somehow came to understand that if you remove the squeezey nipple rubber piece from a dropper bottle ( e cig juice btl here) and just cut off the tip- (leave a bit of curve.) Put on m so halfway seated in curve of m's mp.Boom. Easiest mod I ever did and works better to seal my gas station wax rig joint anyway. Ghetto fat MP in a pinch. Cheers, D.

Alright I promised more pics when the Omni burl came in. Wish there was some better sun out here today for better lighting. I love my Omni so far. I haven't tried to play with my stoner Lego's yet..... I'll probably throw the burl VonG on later tonight. I am a little scared to break down this beauty

Hey guys, just opened my M ... first Dynavap.

I'm using a single torch from the Lotus vape and aren't hearing a click after 6 seconds or so and I'm worried to push it past ... what am I doing wrong? Should I just keep hearing? Are you supposed to see any red when heating?

Takes me about 10 seconds when cold with a double torch a single is probably closer to 15 seconds I would guess.

@AJS yeah it is. Just spin it to reduce the hot spots. I love the look my caps are getting.

You should feel and hear the click. My triple torch takes less than 5 sec I think but that is the only one I use. And no red for sure.

I also received an email from DynaVap today, regarding the free shipping error & correction. I tried to order as early as I could, and when I did, the shipping charge was added on. I paid it anyway, because I wanted to get my order in, and I definitely don't mind paying a little more to such a great company.
A snippet from the email - " Thank you for your patience - we'd like to offer you a free DynaVap T-Shirt along with free shipping on your next order. Shipping charges from our 4/20 promotion have been refunded to your credit card."
That is an extremely generous gesture, another example of how DynaVap really cares about their customers. If I may quote their email again, "All the folks at DynaVap unequivocally appreciate each and every customer. We are dedicated to the continued enjoyment of our products by our customers." I really and truly believe this statement, DynaVap is a fantastic company. I can't wait to see how they continue to evolve.
