@Dynalowrider It's confusing me just trying to type it.

Omni bodies are 45mm, stems are 62mm.

Bodies need MP's stem don't, but you can make a standard VC stem longer by adding an MP with an XL condenser.

Which would then make a 62mm stem a body.

So a body goes between the Ti tip and MP, a regular stem has no added MP.

Apologies for the basic question, I haven't been keeping up with the thread in awhile. I've had an OG glass vapcap for about 6 months and while i had some issues with it at first, it's turned into my daily driver for small dosages. At the time i bought it, there were no upgrades available for it. Has that changed at all?

Also, at the time I had read that people were trying to figure out how to use batteries to heat up the vapcap instead of butane. Any progress or anything cool that anyones work on? Thanks fellow ENTS!

While the Ti Tipped Vapcaps are fully modular the OG Vapcap does not have the same degree of versatility. That said, the OG Vapcap can be "upgraded" to a Vapcap S model by replacing the glass condenser with an XL Stainless Steel condenser and wood mouthpiece kit.

As long as you have the metal CCD screen and not the ceramic screen you have the most up to date OG VapCap. I'm pretty sure they switched to those around July for the OGs. The CCD does offer better airflow and performance in my experience, and is worth the upgrade.

The Ti tip has had a substantial upgrade, and it now also comes with a CCD and not a ceramic screen. The new tip is supposed to offer more convection. It also has adjustable screen depth, which might help you in regards to small doses. It might be time to get a Ti tipped model, maybe even an Omni with adjustable airflow.

Gee, I'm so stoked!!!

My Blackfriday order's finally completed, made its way through third world mail system and the DynastashER that was still travelling finally arrived!! In fact it arrived friday, two days ago....

Everyone around here must be aware about the VC product family quality and the awesomeness we feel when some new pieces come in to increase our "lego" collection. I need to throw a personal and giant shout out and thank you very much for the Vapcap team!! I am really amazed!!!!

Funny to mention, I brought the Tiwoody and the DynastashER to a friends place yesterday, and we went into testing it, for the sake of science and fun!! :) ... Some moments later, my friend discovered the DynastashER cover rotates freely 360 degrees (I believed it should only be opened one side or the other), and surprise!! The dabber tool showed up! Wow!!

Helped some friends make their way into VC based on my recommendation. So, there are three more new Vapcap OG users. They are now into starting to realize stuff that we Vaporists know pretty well, like: "Wow, how can a tiny bit of herbs last so long, and be so effective?" and/or: "Hey, the taste from the herb when using the vaporizer feels so much better than combustion" and one of them just questioned me: "Do you believe the more expensive models work even better than this? " .... hehehe ... definitely vapcap is an effective tool to convert smokers to vapor!!

So, here are some photos of my vapcap family, now bigger with the DynastashER, and just waiting for some new family members to come...

My preferred ones, the Tiwoody and Omni with the wood body. Being able to choose and change bodies makes them even better :)

Sorry for the long and full of images post, but you know, it's Vapcap awesomeness guys!! When the mailman drops that green (or purple) package at our place we can't feel less than absolutely excited!! :)

Cheers everyone, and thanks again @VapCap !!!

Awesome! Thanks so much for the detailed reply! Does the XL Condenser make a big difference? I sure like the way it looks.

So after a few weeks of use, my cap has started to rattle slightly whenever I shake it. Should I be concerned? It's still clicking fine... It's almost gone a very dark brown/blackish colour, although I suspect that is normal?

@banana_republic that's a lovely family that you have here!
Don't feel sorry, as one of the greatest thing in this thread is to follow a vapcaper's journey!

@hokaku, that's normal, what you hear is one of the two little metal disc encased in the end of the tip, that move freely (metal dilatation and the click can cause them to move a little for example). You don't have to be worried about this as long as the cap click ;)
Does your tip rattle every time, or does it rattle only when it's hot?

Because mine rattle only when it's hot wind doesn't when its cold, and as we stated with @emmdeemo, this can make a great indicator to know if you had reach the cooldown click (doesn't rattle) or if the cap is still too hot (still rattle). The three caps that I use are behaving the same way, in a consistent way but that's may be not the case for everyone' s cap indeed.

It's rattling all the time. My other 2 (brand new) caps don't rattle, at least while at room temp :)

Vapcap finally made it across the pond eh!! ..picked up a "new" OG at THC to go with my OG OG.. ohhh geeeze haha

The newer OG's def have a "cleaner" look to all the parts.. nice work Dynavap team!!

here's the link for my fellow canucks

vapcap is definitely my favourite breakfast vape :D

For anyone out there who has both, are the omni's extra features worth the $$$ or would a Ti woody(with mouthpiece) perform just as well?? ..sorry if this has already been discussed.

When two beautiful pieces of engineering fit so well, that's easy to make my @VapCap Quick Pic of the week!

@Vapor_Eyes thanks man, that goes straight though my heart!
It was a great moment to set all in place and make that picture, listening to Desmond dekker thinking about what I would bring this week....
This picture is the last that I took after dozens of it, but it was THE one.
And you don't see it, but their is leather involved in this picture :whip:
The devil is in the details

@almost there, thanks to you, I'm appreciate your appreciation man :D
And under the real light while spinning it it's making a beautiful scheme of little bricks, like in Tetris!

Nice pic! Did you use some tan leather as a reflector to warm the lighting?

@Winegums, thank man!
The leather(don't know what "veggie tan" stand for as my English isn't quite good, but I can tell you that it is some fine cow's leather), is what I used to make the background, and about the lighting there is two light sources, one with a blue gelatine and another with a yellow one.
I've seen your pictures and their are as great as your knife/stem work! Kudos man :science:

Although, congratulations for your entering in the accessory making, this is wonderful for all the 'cappers

It shipped!

Today I broke out my ff2 because I'm down to one oring on the VC tip...

... Ff2 batteries were dead.... Had to lug the charging dock around in my car... Let it charge... Took it off to vape some cbd and got a red light and no heat... The second battery worked, but still a hassle. The VC is so much easier...

Edit: damnit! Just went to hit it and the battery died.

Meant to come and post here all weekend but was too busy (combined with too hazy)...

My Omni didn't arrive on Friday, but the post office is in the same building as my work, so I stopped by on Saturday after I saw that delivery was attempted and asked if I could pick it up. Helpful post office lady went to look and came back with green parcel in hand (in fact I had mentioned that it was probably a green envelope and she said that totally helped her find it.)

I'm totally loving it. Works exactly as expected. I only had a few single flame torches so I stopped and picked up a quad torch on the way home from a liquor store that also has cigars. It's a 'jet line' torch and didn't realize until too late that it is one that has the little calcium/metal things above the jets that turn the flame red. It works fine, though, and definitely heats up the cap faster than a single flame. I'll get a better torch at some point.

The vapcap for sure has a surprising amount of kick considering the small load size. Very impressive. It's not going to pose a challenge to my Sticky Brick as far as mind blowing monster hits go, but is perfect for carrying around and I cannot wait to get out to the beach with it. It's so easy to use! (George's recent video showing him holding the vapcap at an angle to the flame really helped me get to a successful technique in no time.)

The bocote stash is beautiful as well. I'll post a pic later.

Greetings,

We have been busy dialing in our wood shop this past week. It has been fun and somewhat challenging figuring out the best way to machine some of the hardest woods in the world.

Here are some nice cocobolo bodies and stems.

IMG_20170203_202322415_HDR_zps58krvnam.jpg

And out of the sawdust comes some really exciting things. I sure hope others will agree.

And now, the NonaVong.
This is what I would call a significant improvement on the original VonG. The VonG has been essentially unchanged since introduction, but now steps into a new category. I hope these new geometric jewels will become a more popular choice for the body section as they bring a new level of functionality to the table.

IMG_20170131_092334326_zpsrrow7sob.jpg

Here is a video.

They have a bit more wood to look at while being easier to hold and turn.
I'll list some of the other features as well in case the video isn't easy to play.
  1. It is still a VonG (VapCap on Glass) so it fits natively into 14mm tapered glass fittings.
  2. Antiroll. The new shape I call a partial asymmetric trisected nonagon. It has 3 large flat sides, 3 medium sides and 3 small ones. This configuration accomplishes the antiroll much better than a symmetrical shape. This is accomplished because the large flats are almost as wide as if the VonG was a square, (but that would be a boring shape.) In addition to the larger flats the medium and small facets are a respectively larger distance from the center of mass and rotation. This means if it rolls, it consumes its own momentum as the medium and short sides force the device to elevate it's center of rotation and then drop it back down onto the large flat.
  3. Grip. The flats are 120 degrees apart, so it should fit and feel nice between the fingers, as well as functioning like a screwdriver handle. So if it sticks a bit a little twist to break it free should hopefully do the trick. The flats also make it easier to rotate during warmup and make it possible to count precise rotations during heating accurate to a few degrees.
  4. Runway. It seemed some of the most common comments were regarding the airport and how it could be a bit challenging to find without navigational instruments. How to most easily resolve this? The NonaVong has a textured surface on the side with the airport. We machined this tactical feedback feature, or runway to help steer the pilot for smooth and controlled takeoff as well as a soft landing even in low visibility conditions. It is subtle, so not to detract from the beauty of the wood, but should be just enough
  5. Clearance. With the flats making it easy to safely set the NonaVong on a surface without a roll, the diameter keeps both the hot tip and the mouthpiece up in the air.
  6. Looks. Please forgive my bias, but I think the facets are a fresh look to a typical round device, and when applied to wood, they give the grain a nice window to showcase.
These are shipping now with any new order. If the pictures aren't updated yet on the website they will be soon.

So as before, please let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,

George

Brilliant!!! As always! You never cease to amaze, George!

2 questions... Or, maybe 1. Price and availability for a 14mm burl NonaVong? Please post on site so I can send more money. :D
