1) I can confirm the relevance of the hole. Is it just me?
The hole is to clear the vapcap and allow air into the vapour mix.
2) Why do we call it click when it is actually more some kind of "click-clock"?
There's two bi metal discs in the cap rather than relying on just one. Usually there's two clicks that come from the cap on heating and cooling.
3) I'm now kind of sure that the XL is worth it. I think that even slightly longer would not hurt!
The ergonomics of the XL size stems work better for my big hands, though I could see someone with smaller hands liking the regular size.
4) I don't know for SS, but Titanium hets and cools incredibly fast. Amazed.
Low density and low mass makes for quick heating and cooling.
5) A three torch lighter is nice, but I wonder how a 4 is. I just don't like waiting for two long 'cos I hate the noise of the lighter when it's on.
The hotter and wider the heat source is, the shorter the time it takes the cap to click, and the tip will be proportionately cooler. Wider flames are less precise with the heating and offer more of a general ball park for temperature because they bathe the whole cap in flame.

The smaller and more focused the heat source is the longer it will take to click, and the tip will be proportionately hotter. Smaller single flame torches are more precise with the heat placement and allow you to fine tune the temperature when it clicks.

Thank you! Yet, my hands are not big and still I like the XL a lot. I think that this Christmas I'll suffer AAS and I'll buy a lighter of each type.

I also find the carb to be required to some extent - but had to do a bit of fiddling at first to find the right amount of air. Actually, @GreenHopper helped me by suggesting some tape over the hole and then poking small holes with a pin to see just how much air was "just right" (turns out to be two pin holes for me). There's actually two disks that click and depending on the rate of heating you can hear them distinctly or sometimes together (more pronounced on 2nd, 3rd and 4th heat cycles it seems). I had the same thought about the length and picked up an omni XL - but I'm not sure I dig the extra length (jury is still out on that one). I do like the Ti tip better than the SS tip for heatup and cool down but also for better airflow. I modded my M tip - but it lacks the extra spiral groove that's present on the Ti tip and there's no easy way to rectify that. I don't like waiting either, but I feel that a less powerful torch produces better results if you are not fighting wind or cold. I use a tripple outside, but a single or dual indoors. I think you get better heat soaking with a less intense flame.

Yeah, I had a couple bowls in the new Omni XL last night and I'm still figuring it out. Leaving it fully open and fingering the air hole works great, but really isn't what this guy is about. I expect most of my use of this DV is going to be out and about and with a torch and that is how I need to get familiar with it. Learning Mode On.

So I did the math and once again, the Omnivap blew me away. What you see here is 1.451 grams in a dood tube. I micro dose .025 grams per use. So with this tube I can use my Omni 58 times ... that's CRAZY!

@cybrguy there really is no wrong way to use an omni, all to ones preference. I used mine wide open for the first month, fluttering the carb as I went. Once I dialed in the sweet spot letting in just a tad more air then when fully carbed, I haven't looked for the carb hole since.
I'm glad @Mr.Sifter pulled the trigger and am hope he enjoys it.
I'm really wondering if our buddy @ataxian was able to pull the trigger. Hoping so....if not, I may know someone with an M that may be willing to send it out to SoCal once their new order of DV goodies arrives. What you think @pxl_jockey :brow:

Go for it....that one works perfect. I have one and use it all the time with my Ti unit. Not close enough to your face to worry about any problems....believe me....been using it for months on end. For that price...you could not ask for a more economic and good quality use water unit. I love the smooth rim of the mouthpiece. I wish my D020-D mouthpiece was as smooth.

Also, so good that you finally got a Dynavap......hope you figure it out quick and are happy with it's abilities. Which I think you will since you mentioned you would like to micro-dose. In my opinion....nothing comes as close to a vapcap as far as micro-dosing and economic use and longevity of your flowers! Congrats Mr. Sifter...I was worried you would not actually ever get one to understand it first hand.....yet you pulled the trigger....good job!

Thank you @ALL very much for the words of kindness.
And sorry for my emotional rudeness.
I am in a dark part of my life at the moment.
gotta keep on keepin' on.....

May I see a picture of the bespoken glass piece paired with a vapcap ?
just to paint my imaginary pictures.

I am taking a break from the herb for " idont know how long" so I wont be able to test my vapcap in the near future. maybe next year.

I was going to get a "M" to try?
Missed the sale?

Next time maybe?

I want to hide a type that work's with a lighter!

Just wanted to add that I have smaller hands and while I don't feel I NEED the extra length of the XL, I think I am going to LIKE having it for torch twirling.

I think it's going to live in its plastic tube for now. Maybe a DS or @Ratchett leather pouch or @Winegums stash case for the Holiday. We'll see.

The Omni was my BD present to myself. :) A little treat now and again never hurts.

Hope your break doesn't have to be too long. I hate T-Breaks. They are very hard for me and I don't do them often. One of the main reasons I work for myself.

So did a panic buy last night right around cut off time, 12:45am my time. I'm worthless and weak, I know. Thought I could lego style it and just change tips, but nooooo...not this guy. Got to have a tip for each stem.
Just got the status changed to shipped notice.
Team Dynavap kicked this sale in the ass!

Next time maybe?

Looking forward to an M with a Pink stem pic in the garden. ;)

My friends call me "Menz"
so after a couple of communications between me and DynaVap and my issue is being resolved. They did well by me and i should have a VonG body shipped soon. so with the fear of having to send my new toy back out of the way decided to take a closer look at this new OmniVap Blackwood i received. here are my initial thoughts and issues that i hope you veteran Omni owners can help me with:

1) I have two existing Cocobola bodies in my stash and although i don't need to, my plan when i ordered was to be able to switch the Omni Condenser between the VonG Body (that i was supposed to get) and one of these Cocobola bodies. Here's the issue i have... The Omni condenser comes out of the existing Blackwood body ok, kinda tight, but i can take it apart and reassemble it. However, the Omni condenser does not fit well at all in my Cocobola bodies. It is really tight and i felt like i was putting way too much force in trying to assemble it. i added some dynawax to it and i was finally able to put the Omni condenser into the Cocobola body. the blackwood body and Cocobola bodies look very much the same when apart so i am not sure why i am having so much trouble swapping parts that should be swappable. this concerns me as it was part of my plan when i purchased it

2) this is my first time using the "adjustable air flow" of the omni condenser compared to the standard one in my current Ti Woody-S but i am really not feeling much difference in airflow between the unit fully closed and opening it. should i still be using the carb with it open? should i still be using the carb when closed? Should i be using the carb at all? i am not really noting the difference at all when using it compared to my Ti Woody-S. I am sure this is just a "noob" thing but could anyone give me some pointers on how i can tell what this "adjustable air flow" is supposed to do? i thought whan i got it i would not need the carb anymore but after a few tests... i am not sure about anything anymore.

The first issue concerns me the most. i am sure the second issue will be simply something i need to "learn" but i am hoping you veterans can help me out

Thanks in advance
Menz

***EDIT*** Issue number 3) again this issue is more of a learning thing for me but could use some suggestions..... after owning a "spinning mouthpiece" learning how to spin and heat the OmniVap is driving me mad!! i keep unscrewing the mouthpiece as i am spinning DOH!!!!

The blackwood Nonavong whose stem was destined for my Omni XL arrived yesterday. (I ordered on Thursday and they shipped fast this time-- usually when they have sales I have longer to give in to temptation and add more stuff to my cart, but I ain't complaining!) I'd been avoiding wood on my vapes for so long because I like to retain the option of just soaking everything clean if need be, but after some Dynavap experience I knew that wouldn't be much of a concern.

I liked my fancy disco-ball lookin' titanium stem, but the blackwood just feels so darn elegant. I also like how the wood has been more comfortable when it gets warm as opposed to when a metal stem starts to heat up, though I'll admit I haven't yet gotten a chance to push it as hard as I did my original all-Ti Omni. The seal on my 14mm glass is great, with no issues so far-- I was concerned how well tapered wood would actually work, but no complaints! I feel like I've fallen in love with my Omni XL all over again.

(This also brings my total number of Dynavaps owned to four! Plus the one I got for my spouse. How the heck did that happen?? Truly the tribbles of vaporization.)

You are neither worthless nor weak. You are merely seducable, and have a look at the thread, you are hardly alone. I was seconds away from another purchase (that would have been overkill) when I caught myself. ;)

I am a noob with the Omni just like you but let me try and help. The actual area where the air adjustment occurs is very small, only a few turns of the stem. To get familiar with the function I took off the cap, closed the tip with my finger and adjusted while sucking to determine fully opened and fully closed. It was only a few turns. And remember, it is still getting the air through the air hole, so that hole is still necessary even if you "set and forget". It is NOT intuitive that the adjustment area is so short. I suspect the sweet spot for many is to have the adjustment nearly fully closed and to still feather the air hole a little. But I am still learning...

Two vapcaps tips are definitely better than one, you'll save your o-rings from excessive wear due to swapping so often.

I'm currently using a stem that I made for my 1st and 2nd gen tips. It has a 0.5mm carb which, due to the Venturi effect, allows a nice drop in pressure behind the screen.
Which in turn makes for easier draws with thick vapor production
Hi, that stem has a condenser in it, right? So the air flows from the carb to right under the tip, then through the condenser with the vapor?

Thanks for the tip mod instructions, and sharing your really cool work

Hey guys, i've read over here the the tip o rings are not meant to be removed when cleaning, but in the case they broke(if possible?) is it possible to put new in there?

I always remove all four O-rings from the Ti tip when performing "deep cleaning" of the VC (once a month or so ).When I deep clean my Ti tip I use saturated & hot lye solution (quite dangerous if you are not experienced in handling hazardous/corrosive agents & chemicals) .

In case they get damaged you can find spare rings here :
https://www.dynavap.com/dynashop/parts/high-temp-titanium-tip-o-ring-kit

Also there are couple of "tricks" to remove easily & safely the tip O-rings.

Cheers.

You will need a pointy (but not sharp) toothpick for the job ,or something similar
preferably made out of some soft material like plastic, paper or wood.

Firstly ,take out the "streched" O-ring that is seated between the stem "lip" and the tip.
Roll it with your fingers outwards. It should come off easily.
Then start from the next to the streched one (the third ,starting the count from the tip end ).
Put your index and thumb fingers on the sides of the o-ring ,facing opposite .
Press the O-ring from sideways, while applying a slightly "tension"/force upwards.
The o-ring will become oval (like an egg ) and then a small "gap/hole" will protrude on it's top.
Insert -carefully- the toothpick there ,with your other (free) hand.
Softly slide the O-ring outwards .
Done !
Do the same for the remaining two O-rings.
English is not my native language ,still I hope that you 've understood the whole procedure.

Actually it's a nice idea ,to remove the o-rings once a month or so
and let them sit for 10 min in hot -but not boiling-water.
They will come back into shape (they tend to get deformed/pressed over time ,especially if not cleaned from resin /vaping residues ) and they will regain their elasticity.

Cheers.
